Brooklyn had been deadly serious when she had said she preferred not being poisoned. That wasn’t going to stop her from learning more about potions, but she was drawing the line at poisons. She just hoped that Professor Newton had gotten that message, but then she figured he wasn’t about to risk poisoning them again anyway. Not when it could mean trouble for him. In any case, she had seen the notice and headed over to the potions lab with several sheets of parchment in her bag, along with her potions journal and a book just in case. She wanted to be prepared for anything.

She had eyed the two cauldrons upon entering the room, noting the colors and anything else she could determine as she took a seat. “Hello Professor Newton,” she said with a polite smile, only after she’d decided nothing looked too troublesome with the cauldrons and their contents.

Kay had decided to sign up for Art's term activity without a second thought. She had done two reasons: she liked Art and she was eager to still be learning. One never could be too old to learn- not that she was old. She strolled into the lab, eyes catching the cauldrons set up at the front as well as the cups. Would they be drinking those?

"Hello, Art! Hello, Ms Andrews!" The Muggle Studies professor smiled at them. She was all set for today's potion activity, whatever it may be.

Hadleigh had signed up for this way back in the beginning of the term. Back before things had got turned upside down and she had lost all her focus on everything around her. As the weeks passed though she was able to cope better and had found a small routine which she was gladly sticking to the very best she could. This was one of the reasons why she was here today and the fact that she was getting much better at potions and learning to identify a potion without it's name was going to help her someday.

Entering the lap she did the first thing she did every time. She grabbed herself a lap coat and slipped it on. "Hello Professors," she greeted with a light smile and a nod of her head. It was nice seeing another professor in here willing to learn. Eyes landing on Brooklyn she walked over and joined the girl. They had worked together many times in all their lessons and she knew if something went iffy the Slytherin was someone she could rely on if need be. Standing near her fellow snake she gave the girl a simple nod in greeting.

Potions had always been one of Emma's favorite classes. While she did love spellwork, the simplicity of stirring and adding ingredients had always appealed to her. So when she heard that there was extracurricular potions work, even if it sounded a bit dangerous, she was very enthusiastic in signing up. It was bound to be interesting, fun, and a good experience as a potions enthusiast.

Emma had brought along her potions journal with her, containing five years worth of potions notes. Most of it was from her Durmstrang education, so she was interested to continue to see how Hogwarts education in potions compared to the Durmstrang education. She entered the Potions lab and saw that Professor Newton was there already along with two other students she didn't really know because she was still new here and another professor, Muggle Studies was it or maybe Astronomy she couldn't really remember and what was her name? "Hello Professors," Emma said with a smile just to be safe, she didn't want to mess up on the other professors name so she decided to address the two professors together. Emma sat down by herself, giving a smile to the other two girls there she didn't know, and began to look at the potions that were in the cauldrons. She really liked the color of the emerald green one, it would be interesting to see what they do.

The entrance of another professor, this time Professor Stewart, let Brooklyn relax a little. At the very least, she doubted Professor Newton would poison another professor, and she didn’t think that there were more than just the two potions being used for this test. It meant that she could feel like this session was relatively safe. She didn’t drop her normal demeanor in any way, however, even if she had a little more trust for the situation at hand. That didn’t change that she was going to protect herself before anyone else.

Except for maybe Hady, as her dorm mate came in and stood next to her. They always worked well together, understood each other in a strange way. She had returned the nod before she returned her gaze toward the professors, in any case. Solidarity. “Hello Professor Stewart.” She gave the Hufflepuff girl a nod, as well. She didn’t know her, and in general she didn’t trust many Puffs, but there wasn’t any reason to be rude without reason.

"Hello Miss Andrews," Art said in greetings to the first student in. And she was followed by the young Muggle Studies Professor. "Hello Kay, l-lovely to see you here!" It was! Professors were allowed to have a lot of fun with Potions. Of course they were! The more the merrier. "Good morning Miss Lynch, and good morning Miss Ross," Art greeted the following two students, who settled in.

"How is everyone this morning?" He asked the people who were in the room, casually. It was a casual thing. Art was casual, like always.

Hadley yawned as she entered. "Morning Professor." Only Newton wasn't the only Professor there. "Professors." Why was it now that she couldn't have coffee (like she'd ever had it before) she suddenly felt like she needed it.

The girl yawned again and spotted Hady with another Slytherin that Hadley hadn't met yet. Eh. She still made her way over to her name twin. "Morning Hadleigh." And to the other girl (Brooklyn) Hads nodded. "I'm the other Hadley," she said as way of introducing herself.

It was only then that Hads looked at the two offered potions. One was light pink that she didn't really know what it was. She'd have to look up light pink potions in her text book once this was over. The emerald green potion she knew instantly. Or at least was sure she did. The aging potion she messed up on. She'd be trying that one and only a pinch of it. Get to see what she'll be like at twenty finally and not seven.

"So which one are you playing on trying?" The question was directed at both girls.

See she knew her fellow snake. Nothing but a head nod needed. It was nice to know someone so well even if she didn't know her 'all that well'. Clearly over the years you grow to know your dorm mates but one couldn't always know everything there was to know about someone.

There was a girl she didn't know by name but she sent her (Emma) a smile in greeting anyhow. Nothing at all wrong with being polite or at the very least trying to be which she always did even on her worst of days which luckily today wasn't one of those.

"I'm doing alright this morning Sir, how are you?," she asked quietly in return. She was trying really hard to pull herself back together again from the previous month. It was slow going and she wasn't entirely her old self yet but she was getting there and she had a large group of friends to thank for that.

The addition of a younger blonde joining Brooklyn and herself was just fine with her. It was the name twin too which earned her a smile. Hady knew potions wasn't exactly the girls best lesson so she would be making a point of keeping an eye on her as well now. "Morning Hads." She would allow Brooklyn to introduce herself.

Haddie's question on which potion she planned to drink had the older snakes eyes shifting towards the cauldrons at the front of the room. "I haven't decided yet." Truth. She had planned on just walking up and selecting one without much thought. If she didn't know what it was that was better..wasn't it? To learn about the potions from their effects.

Eeek, was she late? Azura was walking as fast as she knew she was able to without having an accident! That would make her even later than she already was! She moved into the classroom and sighed softly, she didn't look THAT late. She slowly moved into the room and grabbed a seat as she waved at everyone.

"Good morning Professors." She said as she looked at Professor Stewart and Professor Newton. "Hiya Haddie." She said as she looked at her fellow dorm mate before waving at the other people in the room.

She didn't really know many of the older Slytherins.. just the younger ones. She settled in her seat, ready to start sampling. She hoped her false cheerfulness was actually working! And she hoped this would be enough of a distraction to take her mind off of things for awhile.

He had signed up for this thing because Professor Flamsteed had done so... and it made it feel safer. But when Jaemin arrived at the lab, the man wasn't anywhere to be seen. The small boy lingered in the doorway for a while, peeking into the room and considering his options. He could go in, and hope everything went okay... or he could sneak off and just pretend he'd never been there.

His inquisitive nature though... couldn't really allow him to do that. He liked to experiment too much, and that's what this was. EXPERIMENTS. So Jaemin slipped quietly into the room and, tugging at his robes absently, found himself a nice space to watch everything and everyone from.

A couple more people arrived to the Potions Test Lab. Emma got a few smiles from the other girls who were in the room when she arrived, the Slytherins. She had heard some bad things about past Slytherins, but these people seemed to be nice enough. There were a couple of other cheerful Ravenclaws, they all seemed nice. Maybe she would make some friends here.

The professor was also nice when he greeted her, Emma really liked him. He was a great professor so far and that was good because Potions wouldn't be fun anymore if she had a terrible professor. "I'm doing great Professor! I'm super excited to see what we will be doing today" Emma said brightly as she continued to look at the potions. Maybe she would choose the pink potion instead.

If there was a Gryffindor that didn't sign up to test random potions for Professor Newton, then they clearly had been misplaced by the Sorting Hat. Potion testing SCREAMED Gryffindor. The curiosity, the risk, being daring, laughing at whatever happened -- if that didn't scream lion, then Frankie didn't know what did. This was why the sixth year casually strolled into the student potions lab, a swagger in his step.

After getting about a metre from the doorway, his blue eyes caught sight of a certain ginger and next to her was ... Nope. Nope, nope, nope. Had he been seen? Was it too late to run out the door and as far away from the dungeons he could get?

The blond frantically looked around the room. Did anyone else he knew arrive yet? He could hide behind them so he didn't have to miss this true test of bravery and nerve. Nope, no one. Merlin's beard.

Frankie looked at the doorway and started heading for it. When he was about halfway, he stopped for a kid that was tugging his robes caught his attention. He'd seen the kid at the Slytherin table before, but his name was oblivious to to prefect. He eyed the boy up and down. Definitely wasn't big enough to hide him, but he would do. "Sup?" the older boy greeted with a head nod.

Soooo this was it.

The first Potions Test Lab.

Esme was a mixture of excitement and nervousness at the moment. The change to learn more about potions was appealing, but what if Professor Newton slipped them poison? Granted it would be weak poison... but she wasn't exactly looking forward to feeling sick. Once had been more than enough, thank you very much. Would someone who reminded her of a grandfather be mean to them? She didn't think so but that didn't stop the niggling worry at the back of her head.

"Hello, Professor Newton. Professor Stewart." She sent waves to her friends before setting into a seat. She was ready to begin.

”I’m doing quite well,” Brooklyn had answered, as Professor Newton had inquired about their mornings. Things hadn’t been quite as crazy as they could have been, even as more people had started filtering in. Even as the younger Claw she remembered turning into a child during the Potions lesson had walked up to join her and Hady. She had given the girl a brief nod. She wasn’t aware there was the need for another Hadley, as it had been put. “Brooklyn.” The only one that she knew of at Hogwarts, too.

“I haven’t decided yet either.” She was waiting to find out if they were going to be told what the potions were before she made a decision. Pink reminded her of love potions way too much to make a decision without knowing if there was that risk. She wasn’t ingesting a love potion even for the sake of potions testing.

Not to mention she had noticed a certain Gryffindor prefect quickly trying to use the younger Slytherin who had entered as a shield. He was just ridiculous.

Hmm? The diminutive Slytherin looked up when the Gryffindor prefect came closer, having missed the way the older boy had looked him over. What was this one's name? He'd had so little interaction with any prefects that weren't Dot or Yoongi that he couldn't recall who most of them were... he tilted his head and gave the older boy a slightly nervous smile.

"Hi..." he glanced at Professor Newton, eyes straying to the other professor that was present and nose wrinkling slightly before he put his attention back on the tall guy. What was his name... Freddie or something, right? "Are you here for the potion thingy? Or are you just here to watch?"

He assumed some people were. Just in case something bad happened, you know? Someone had to be here to make sure that nobody got hurt...

It wasn't all to long before others began to arrive to which Hadleigh gave each of them a smile or nod of her head in greeting. There was a good deal of younger years it seemed which made her feel even more comfortable that she had taken up her place beside Brooklyn.

This didn't appear to be going to badly for now. Not that anything had happened yet anyhow. Her eyes slowly traveled once again towards the potions in the cauldrons up front and she mentally attempted to go over every potion that she recalled either being emerald green of pink. Her thoughts were interrupted instantly by a voice. Now she knew the voice wasn't in noway directed at her but it had caught her attention as fast as if somewhere to dump a bucket of freezing cold water over her head.

No. No. No.

Hadleigh let out a slow breath slowly casting a sideways glance towards where Jaemin was sat. That was all she was needed to be able to spot the blonde standing beside the smaller boy. With a small shake of her head and biting the inside of her cheek Hady swung her hazel eyes back onto the tabletop in front of her. It had suddenly become very interesting to her. Could they please just take the potion now? She'd rather feel whatever the effects of the potions were then what she was feeling right now. Anything would be better then this.

"Good morning Miss Denaker," Art said to the young Ravenclaw who had... had an incident earlier in the year. Thankfully that was all water under the bridge. He hoped. "Err v-very well thank you," he replied to Miss Lynch, glad to hear she was well. "Good morning there Miss Kennedy," Art greeted the young Potioneer. "Mr Song! Come on in, there, good morning," he greeted the young Slytherin who hadn't quite been happy about the results of the aging potion. Art gave a happy nod to Miss Ross, who was indeed very excited! "Wonderful! I love t-to see excited young potioneers."

And Mr Gryffindor Prefect, who was, with Miss Lynch, aspiring to become an animagi, walked in. With a sup. Art nodded. "Err... s-sup to you too?" he said, slightly confused. What did one say to 'sup'? Art wasn't familiar with this 'lingo'. "Miss Darcy, good morning there!" He greeted another of his young potioneers. Art nodded happily in Miss Andrews' direction, glad she was also doing well.

Art clapped his hands together. "Now you'll see a little form in front of you, wh-which is sometimes helpful in analysing Potions. I-I used something similar when I grade your potions. What we're doing today is.... well, I HOPE, trying a potion and analysing it. If-if you do-don't want to try the potion then you can j-just analyse the characteristics." He paused and scooped out a small amount of each potion into one small tester cup, holding them up so that everyone could see them. "We have an aging potion here," he said, indicating the green one, "And a love potion," he indicated the pink one, then set them both down. "Come up and-and scoop yourself a tester of whichever one you want to try and then we'll get started."

OOC: Okay, so basically THERE is the form. Come up and grab a potion, whatever one you want, and you can;

-Take the potion and go wild with RPing the effects, or;
-Go through the form above and have your charrie 'analyse' the potion

Either way, have fun! We will be here posting and interacting with everyone, but send me a poke if you need me/clarification etc. There are no 'rules' (SS rules are, of course, to be followed), but you can decide what the potion tastes like, looks like, feels like etc. YOUR imagination! <3

"Art, you know I wouldn't miss this.'' Kay signed up for this activity, not only because she needed to refresh her memory on Potions but because she also liked Art. "I can hardly wait to see what you have planned today.''

She smiled at Ms Andrews in reply. And here came the other students. Kay had been wondering if they had forgotten about dear Art's fun project. Kay acknowledged each of the students' greetings with a 'hello' or 'hi' of her own. She saw you, Ms Lynch, Ms Ross, Ms Denaker, Ms Kennedy, Mr Song, Mr Paton and Ms Darcy... whichever twin it was.

Kay readied herself for the start of thing by giving Art her undivided attention. Two potions... choose one and either consume or analyse. Which to do? She allowed the students to take their samples before moving to collect hers- the Aging Potion. The woman had a shrewd feeling that she might embarrass herself if she took a love potion. But an Aging Potion would be fun! She would definitely be ingesting it.

"Is there anyone taking the Aging Potion? We can work on the form together.'' Unless Art preferred them to work individually. He could let her know if this is what he wanted.

Hady couldn't have been any happier for a Professor to have begun speaking then she had been just then. Thank you Professor Newton! If it weren't for her getting started with the Test Lab stuff she knew she would've crashed and burned.

Now what was this about an Aging Potion or a Love Potion. Love. No. Sorry but just no. There was noway. No how. That she would be drinking that. She had made herself look like a fool more then enough of the several weeks and she wasn't going to let it happen again. Plus love wasn't something she needed or even wanted to think about just then.

Without any more though on it Hady had made her choice. Making her way to the front she collected a small cup with her sample of the aging potion in it. Returning to her table she set the cup down and quietly looked over the form.

Where they supposed to work on the form first or ingest the potion and then work on the form? Did it even matter? Her hazel eyes moved from the parchment to the green potion and back several times but she made no move to do anything else.

He couldn't help but quickly glance at the Slytherin girls over the kid's head. Merlin he was short. Frankie could see everything: Brooklyn was looking at him with that typical expression and Hady appeared to be oddly fascinated with the tabletop. The prefect didn't look at them any longer. Instead his attention had been grabbed by the Potions professor and the kid.

Catching the confused nature of the professor's response, he simply shrugged it off and offered the man a smile before turning to the boy with all the questions. "Yeah, I'm here for the potions thingy." And to see how long he could stand being in the same room as his ex. Merlin help him.

"Name's Frankie, by the way," he quickly added, assuming the boy didn't know his name considering he didn't know the own boy's name. "Are you going to test the potion or analyze?" The blond could see the kid going either way, whereas he was straight game for trying whatever Newton had to offer.

Speaking of Newton, the old man spoke up and mentioned the potions available for them: ageing and love. Frankie rolled his eyes at the mention of the second. Well, he had an easy choice to make then.

"Want me to grab a potion for you? I'm going to give ageing a whirl." For obvious reasons to know who were aware, there was no way he was going to deal with the love potion.

Frankie. He had been soooooooo close. The small Slytherin nodded, stashing the name away in his memory and immediately offering his own, which was far, far less likely to be known because... he was little, and Frankie was old.

"I'm Jaemin." As for whether he would test or analyse... Jaemin cast a quick glance up at the professor when he told them which potions were up there, and bit down on his bottom lip absently. Growth potion he'd tried already, but... he wasn't sure if he wanted to try the other. Experimenting with love potions? He'd been pretty sure this summer that he wouldn't want to do it. When the Muggle Studies professor called out about the aging one though... he looked at the Gryffindor prefect. "I like to test stuff! I did the aging one already though. I think I should try the... other... one."

Hopefully with... you know. Not disastrous results. He wanted to ask the professor how exactly it was meant to work, but... well. That was what the experiment was for. Right? Right.

He nodded lightly at the prefect again when he asked about getting it. That worked... he would just stay here, examine the form, and see how much of it he could fill out before the potion took effect. Hopefully he could still fill some of it in after, too...

Rula hadn't initially been too sure about this potion testing thing, but eventually she'd decided it'd be a good thing to try. Who knew when she would need to identify a potion by testing it? It might be a useful skill at some point.

So she was here, and she was instantly more interested when Professor Newton mentioned that the pink one was a love potion. THAT was definitely the one she was gonna try. Especially compared to the aging potion. Even though she WAS curious to see what she'd look like as an adult, a love potion was just too fascinating and exciting for this hopeless romantic to resist.

She hopped up, scooped out some of the pink-colored liquid into a testing cup, then headed back to her seat.

Some people really needed to stop looking her way. It was as if she knew he was looking in her direction even if it wasn't only at her and just for a split second. Hady had always been able to know. Now though she didn't want to think about it. There was a potion to analyze and consume. Which she would start working on right now.

Looking down at the parchment she silently began to read over everything. It appeared easy enough to work it out on her own but she wouldn't mind working with someone either. Sooo she might as well take up Professor Stewart on her offer. "I am," she replied softly turning her head to the side just enough to be able to see the women.

She wasn't late, was she?

Vivian peeked inside the potions test lab. GASP, so many people already? The first year blinked and sort of concerned if she wanted to push through with this crazy idea. Her mum always said they were bad ideas... but guess who didn't really care? Yep, Vivian Fairfield. Besides, her aunt would've agreed to this. Auntie Elise loved her brilliantly insane ideas.

"Good day, Professor," Vivi said as she skipped inside the lab. " I hope I'm not too late to join in this." Because she wanted to give all of this a try! She did!

Her eyes were on the light pink coloured potion though. Reminded her of marshmallows. She liked it already... because it was PINK.
