| | |  Potions Lab Payment Center
 Before you can open the door to the potions lab, a big line of multicolored turnstiles magically materializes out of thin air to effectively block your path. You cannot go around the turnstiles and using magic on them will not have the slightest effect. If you want to enter the potions lab, you need to pay a flat fee of 8 sickles to get in every time you wish to come in. You insert the money in the little hole on top off one of the turnstiles. The turnstile will then unlock and will allow you to pass through and get into the potions lab.
OOC: The turnstiles will be seen by everyone regardless of year, house, or age. You must make at least one post in here before posting elsewhere in the potions lab this term. If you don't, watch your back. The turnstiles do not restrict access to Professor Lafay's office and waiting area. 
AND PLEASE NOTE: You CANNOT go around, under, over, etc. the turnstiles. Not only are the little bars physically blocking your path, but they also as a whole act as an invisible force field barring you from the potions lab until you pay. Please cooperate with this portion of the plot or your posts WILL be deleted. | |

........... really? West eyed the turnstiles with a sense of resignation and then turned tail and went back to the dorm for coin. At least it wasn't a long walk. He was a few minutes and then back again, he put a few Galleons into the turnstile, knowing he'd be back to use the potions lab again at some point or another.
... would Scan be able to afford to get in? West went through, figuring he'd help Ascanius out if the other boy said he needed it.
But he'd owe him.

Petra looked at the turnstiles, and was amazed; that they would have these in the wizarding world, but do you have to pay for everthing when magic can just fix it. Shrugging her shoulders she turned around and went back to her dorm and got the right amount of sickels and skipped back to the turnstiles and put the money in the correct slot. Knowing she would be back to the potions lab she had to remind herself to carry a bit of extra change on her.

How better than to improve at potions than to spend some time in the potions lab? Whether that was brewing some progressively difficult potions or maybe watching other students brew stuff or even gaining knowledge by osmosis and just BEING there.
Because that totally worked.
Tobias could tell, somehow, before he'd even reached the door, that something was going to get in the way first. He reached for his pocket before the turnstiles even appeared, and was pulling out some coins by the time he stopped. Well, if these things were at the library then of course they'd be here too.
8 sickles? Tobias looked at the change in his hand. Only knuts and one galleon. Well, he would be coming back here more than once, so maybe if he put in a galleon that would cover the cost of a couple of visits. He'd have to remember to bring more money next time.
Tobias held the gold coin to the slot in the turnstile and watched as it changed shape accordingly. He dropped the galleon in and pushed through the turnstile to enter the potions lab, dropping the dozen or so knuts into his pocket as he did so.

Under normal circumstances, Alice wouldn't have paid for any school resources that weren't absolutely necessary. Dora's books and little labs were enough to pacify her on a regular basis. But this was a surprise.
The sixth year emptied eight sickles into the turnstile hole before dragging along the West in her free hand. He had brought his own money, right?

Now this was just ridiculous.
As the granddaughter of the Potions Mistress, Sophie firmly believed she should get in for free. Not that she didn't have the money, but her family members put in hard work here. The least the school could do was not charge them. Boo.
Sophie paid the eight sickles then slid through the turnstiles.
