| | |  The Office of Professor Valon Kazimeriz, esq.
Please do not post here until the Professor has invited you in. Please use the office doorway thread to knock and gain admittance to the Professor's office. 
The warm interior of Professor Kazimeriz's office is simply lit with a candlelight chandelier. While it is well organized and fastidiously tidy, the floor to ceiling mahogany shelves are overflowing with thick, ancient books and curiosities that the professor has collected during nearly a century of travels. The walls are decorated with tribal masks and other oddities as well as moving photographs of distant lands and distant people. Several photos are of the professor himself, posing with various wizards, witches, hobgoblins, werewolves, vampires and other magical beings.
At the center of the office is a large mahogany desk with a deeply cushioned leather chair behind it. On the desk are a few artifacts, including a glass-encased hand of glory. There is also a quill, blotter and a photograph of a much younger Professor Kazimeriz with a woman and small child.
At the back of the room there is a large, locked, wood and glass enclosed curio cabinet which contains a variety of objects. Each object has a note card describing the object and the curse placed on it. To the right of the cabinet, there is a brass bell dangling from a wrought iron hook. In this area, there is also a fastidious workspace featuring a triple-locked glass cabinet housing potions ingredients. On the counter you will find an array of potions-making equipment: phials, alembics, stills,and of course several cauldrons in various states of steaming and brewing. The bookshelves are jammed with many ancient texts: An anonymous treatise on the Philosophers' stone, An hundred aphorisms containing the whole body of magic from Ms. Sloane 1321, Basil Valentine's Triumphal Chariot of Antimony, Advanced Potion-Making by Libatius Borage, Moste Potente Potions, Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger, Compleat Potions by Horace Slughorn, and many others.
Comfortable, overstuffed chairs and sofas are positioned within the office near the fireplace sitting area and across from the professor's desk. The smell of tea and warm sugar cookies lingers in the air, mingling with the scent of the burning pine log in the fireplace and the occasional wafting scent of whatever happens to be brewing at the moment.

Rafe quickly followed in behind the nurse, the smell of the cookies led him back to the office. "No this is not a party," Rafe said a little agitated. "Please help Theo, he's missing a lung and Professor Lupa has created a temporary one." Rafe felt very uncomfortable as he spoke, but felt like he should be the one to explain, since he caused all this turmoil. "I don't think cookies are going to help." All his tears seemed to have dried up now, but his eyes were shockingly red. "I performed the Scourgify spell as a..." he took in a deep breath, it was like he was on trial, "...joke. Then I tried to remedy it by performing the Evanesco charm, but according to Professor Kazimeriz," he didn't dare look in his direction, but just stared at Theo, "The spell caused his lung to disappear. I brought him here, and he was turning blue and there were still some soap bubbles coming out of his mouth." He wished he was where Theo was, he would do anything for Theo to get better, he would even tell the world that he was what he was, even though he knew it would lead to his death because he was under contract with the Unbreakable Vow. "Can you help him?"

There was chaos where there was Kaz. Did the old man ever have a quiet moment to himself? Helios muscled his way into the office, slipping through the part way opend door. "What is--" A growl rumbled in his throat when the first person he noticed was Rafe. He knew the first year was trouble the moment he had talked back to Helios.
Rolling up his sleeves, the young prince found his footing, after squeezing through the door. "Sir?" The seventh year boy...No, man, had a commanding presence, arms folded over his chest as he studied the scene before him.

Theo still had a blue tint to his skin. His lips more-so. He still wasn't getting enough oxygen to everywhere. The lung wasn't doing anything. But sitting in his chest. No wonder it didn't work. Werewolves were useless at everything. Well in Theo's opinion anyway.
"No...no....no...not the headmaster," he whispered, his voice strained. "Not the headmaster." He could smell cookies. Were they sugar free? Trust Theo to be dying and still sticking to his lack of sugar diet.
"Fia? Where's Fia? I need Fia," he gasped. He wanted to say goodbye before he died. If Melita didn't save him.

This school was huge, it was going to be like finding a needle in a stack of needles, everyone looked the same in their robes, but he had to try!

Rafe walked back into the office, with Fia closely following...or at least he hoped. He wanted to return as soon as possible. He thought Theo might feel somewhat relieved to see his best friend at his bedside. Rafe would want the same thing if he were in this situation...a feeling he wished he was in. He wish he had taken everything back. Wished that he had never ran into Theo as he left behind the mirror or to have left earlier to never have that encounter. But, nothing could change that now. All he wanted was Theo to be okay. Rafe was ready to face the consequences.
"I brought back Fia," Rafe said as he stepped aside. He couldn't keep his eyes off Theo. He would gladly give his lung if he could.

Fia ran behind the Gryffindor kid, still not knowing what his name was. Introductions were not big on her list and what was on top of her list at the moment was the reason she was here. As soon as they walked into the office, her eyes scanned around and found a couple of professors, but they didn't settle there. She was looking for Theo. She wanted to know that he was okay.

Rafe lightly touched Fia's shoulder and guided her through the crown over to Theo who was lying on one of the overstuffed sofas. Theo was still a tint of blue. He stepped back and was on the side of the sofa looking down at Theo. "I'm so sorry Theodore," he said once more. He stepped back a little ways more and allowed Fia to have a few moments with him. He didn't dare look at anyone else in to the room.

Fia was afraid to move. This was Kazimeriz office, the very man whom everyone was afraid of, or at least she was. She didn't want to have one toe out of place nor a hair for that matter but this Gryffindor kid was already getting on her nerves. If this was his doings...If he actually did this to Theo on purpose.... POW! Right in the KISSER!
Her green eyes glared at the boy who was now afraid and obviously had been crying. He had to be sorry... for getting caught. She would deal with him later, but she heard her name being paged, but it was raspy and almost non existent.
"I'm here," she whispered back loud enough for him to hear but she was afraid to walk any closer. She didn't want to be screamed at for being in a place she was not supposed to be. Good thing was, at this very moment, she was Melita's helper. "I won't leave...unless they make me." This was going to be harder than she imagined...

Fia's green eyes stared at Theo as he extended his hand to her. He wanted...a hug? In front of these...adults? Didn't they put students in detention for public display and he wanted her to...WHOA! She grinned showing her white teeth but didn't move much more.
"Yes...yes there are...lots of adults in here." Her eyes moved from Theo to the professors and then to the healer that she was helping...well not at this very moment but...yeah. She walked a little closer, enough to extend her hand to reach for Theo's as she bent at the waist. She wasn't getting any closer than that.

"Please, no one panic! I know just the spell to fix this up," Melita said, but not nearly as brightly as usual. She had been extremely distracted since walking into the room and hadn't heard a single thing said to her or anyone else. In fact, she now seemed to be stripping out of her robe. Once free, she began shaking it out. Then, she dropped it on the floor and began patting down her pink shirt, followed by her pink skirt and tights, and finally she took off her shoes held them up, then tipped them and shaked them. When THAT was finished, she dropped the shoes and started running her hands through her hair. "I just can't seem to find my wand....." She looked like a lost puppy.

"This is a joke right?!" Rafe said startled as an adult and a Healer no less didn't have her wand. "This is an emergency, he needs a lung! Can we somehow perform a muggle transplant or something? Or maybe you could borrow someone's wand," Rafe said as he eagerly held out his own wand. "Please, just make him okay. Fix the problem I've created!" Rafe was desperate, he felt like he was in a nightmare and not waking up. He just wanted Theo to go back to his bubbly-werewolf-hating-odd self!

Cookie lady was about to fix him. This made him feel better. She was even taking her coat off to get in the right mindset. He felt relaxed. Until she said she had lost her wand. WHAT??? The healer couldn't find their wand. That isn't right.
He pulled his out of his robes, "You can borrow mine if you want."

Kaika's eyes widened, and her hold on the chair was getting stronger. Melita didn't even have a wand?! Was this the woman she had to see if something happened in Quidditch? Practice or games? Oh. Suddenly, she didn't want to hold practices anymore. And she was a beater! If a bludger came knocking the wrong way, then...then...
Then the teacup started to knock on her hand...yes...tea...to calm down...right?

Wow! Lots of people in here but who forgets their wand. Wasn't that like...Wizard 101: Never leave home with out it (Wand).
And poor Theo, he was in pain yet he was offering his wand to the nice healer...WHO LOST HER WAND. Her green eyes looked to Theo's and she gave what was to be a warm smile but it really didn't turn out that way as it was more of a scared smile than anything else. Oh this was bad.

This would never do, and he was not about to hand over his own wand to Sophie, even in this emergency. He was very selective about who he let handle his wand.
Kazimeriz shook his head softly. "It is no use... I believe Master Newtington is in need of more than merely a spell anyway, Sophie... I think he may need to go to hospital, to grow a new lung and receive spell damage therapy. The old one will be quite dead and useless by now, even if you could retrieve it -- and heaven knows where Lycaon's actually sent it." His eyebrows knitted together with disapproval. "Perhaps you could just transport him... Alessia, would you be willing to assist Miss Melita with the delivery, seeing as she has currently misplaced her wand?"
