Potions. The one class that could be counted on to pretty much stay the same. When she was younger, Sky might have found that fact kind of on the boring side. But now that she was older and after all things she'd been through at this school, she was thankful for it. It was nice to have a bit of calm in the middle of the storm, so to speak.

Anyway, she quickly filed into the classroom, said a polite "Hello, professor," and found herself a seat towards the middle of the room. Ready.

Minerva had to go to this class. She had to go. It was for her future. She needed potions to be a healer. As she walked down to the potions classroom she started questioning why she wanted to be a healer so bad. She couldn't pick something that didn't need potions. Standing at the door she took a deep breath. She could do this even without the support she had last, she could. One last breath she walked through the door holding her head up.

She stopped and nodded at Professor Lafay, "Hello Professor, hope you are doing well. She turned and headed towards the back like she did in the last lesson, but that didn't turn out well either with Tillstrom showing up and standing behind her. No Min wanted to show she was over things so she turned and went to her typical front row workstation. Putting her things down and pulling out her cauldron she got ready for the lesson to start.

His first Potions lesson! Adi was excited! He couldn't wait to get started. This wasone of the lessons he had been looking forward to very much. "Good day, Professor!'' he greeted the woman who was by the desk. Might as well introduce himself too. "I'm Aditya Rehman,'' he added politely. He had learnt this was one of the stricter Professors so... he's be on his best behavior.

Okay. Time to find a seat. Adi followed the older girl (Sky) towards the middle of the room and chose a seat.

Yay, potions. One of the good classes, one that could be counted to never change. And it had the same Professor, could the class get any better? She smiled upon entering. "Hello Professor Lafay," with this she found a seat in the frontish part of the room. She was so not ready to sit in the front, where Professor Lafay could always see what she was doing.. Yeap not yet! Maybe next class Nerida would gain the courage to sit in the front..

Wade wasn't sure why, but he kind of liked the look of the dungeon as he headed down towards where Potions class usually began. It would be his first Potions class for his final year. He could see Min far ahead of him, and rather than run down to catch up, he merely took his time, lowly whistling along the way...

At least until he approached the door. Once inside, Wade's eyes searched for the Professor before he found her at her usual desk, waiting. He smiled at her, "Hello, Professor Lafay.. Doing alright?" He waited to hear her response before making his way towards the cauldron closest to his Mouse friend, Min. He smiled at her before dropping his bag by his seat and getting situated before facing the front again. He wondered what they would be working on today.

Time for potions.

See, this was the kind of class that was right up Ascanius' alley, yeah? It was taught by a beautiful woman and it was methodical and logical. Nothing wiggy or annoying or tedious.

So with a casual smirk he walked into class and took in Lafay's look today. Nice. Real nice. Smirk. "Hello Professor."

Now where to sit.

Potion was always a good time. Probably just because Nigel liked potions and make he could make with simple ingredients. It was interesting.

"Hello, Professor Lafay"

Now what will they being learning to make today?

Caleb had REALLY been looking forward to this class, and he'd been looking forward to seeing his grandmother. Even though they never really like...TALKED, and he sometimes forgot what she looked like, he wanted to see what she had to teach them. He also wanted to prove himself, since he knew that word would probably go around that Lafay's grandkids were here, and he did NOT want anyone thinking she'd go soft on them.

Although from what he knew of her, he wouldn't have expected special treatment anyways.

"Um, hello Professor Lafay," he said with a smile. Should he call her gran?? He couldn't remember ever addressing her before! What did he call her? Just PROFESSOR? What did he DOOOO?

Ahaa, Potions. Schuyler had been fond of the subject back at Salem, so she expected she would like it here at Hogwarts as well. As long as the professor wasn't half-bad. That counted when it came to liking and disliking classes.

So, Schuyler walked on in to the classroom and bid their professor hello before she weaved between a few desks. She came to one in spot where she liked, her bag went to the floor, and she took a seat.

Leisurely, she glanced around the classroom, just checking it out.

Potions. West wasn't excited, which was odd because usually he was really into potions. There were other reasons that he couldn't really bring himself to get too eager. So he entered the room in silence, found his usual seat in silence, and waited.

In silence.

Potions class bright n' early

With her book bag slung across her shoulder, Huxley made her way down the dungeons, pausing by the doorway momentarily to take in the sights (and smells) of the Potions classroom. Well it was just as she had expected it, which was a good thing really.

"Good day Professor Lafay." the Ravenclaw greeted the other brunette cordially. "I've just about finished sorting the stockroom Ma'am, just need to work on sprucing some of the labels." Just so that the Professor was aware she didnt go all the way to bother her over nothing.

She turned her head as her gaze scoped out the best place to sit-- ah one pretty close to the supplies cabinet. Of course.

After greeting Lafay with a quiet, "Morning, professor," she set her things down next to West and took her seat in silence. And then observed.

Hi Lafay. Alice was watching.

Pity the potions mistress had stopped bringing her kid to class, though. Mommy Lafay had been interesting.

The classroom smelled exactly like an egg fart.

And Cutty would know.

The pungent odor put him in a good mood, which manifested in a unpleasant-looking smile. He headed over towards Tweebus Number Two (Caleb Newell) and took a seat.

It as time for potions and ariana was just the most chipper EVER.. except no really. Ariana was never really a fan of potions, mainly cause she just wasn't good at is, not as good as she should of been anyway. so walking into the room she plastered a small smile on and greeted her lovelyand evil head of house, " Good day professor Lafay." except it wasnt that great, she was tired, mkay.
so she sat down, and waited.

Tobias had no reason to be any less cheerful than usual, and so he was extremely chipper as he entered the room, big grin on his face. He gave the professor a cheerful wave and a "Hi Professor!" before taking a seat and readying his parchment, quill and ink, ready to take notes.

Potions. Of course, Kat would never miss out on a Potions class. This was her last term in Professor Lafay's class so she felt like it was a requirement and responsibility for her to be here. Clearly, people just didn't know how much passion Kat had for the class even if she didn't exactly show it all the time. The Head Girl entered the classroom and looked around. Still the same... but she'd miss it after graduation. And yeah, she was trying to push the thought away for a bit so that she didn't feel bad.

"Hello, Professor Lafay," Kat greeted her Head of House then went to take a seat in front. Because nobody else sat on her seat until she left the boundaries of Hogwarts for good. Nobody at all.

Hi, hello, he was here. Potions was never a struggle to get to on time, since it was just down the corridor. And thank goodness for that, because Theo had been almost late on many occasions already this term. Bad prefect. Anyway... he took a seat at the back of the classroom because he didn't feel in the mood for being right under Lafay's nose.

"Morning." Theo said quietly as he ruffled around with his stuff.

Potions.

"Hello Professor." The blonde then gave Lafay a polite smile before heading quietly over to a seat. A seat that happened to be by a Theo and he got a small smile too. Oh Hai.

After taking out her parchment and quill, Ella folded her hands and waited for the lesson to start. Silently, of course.

Barely any lesson interested her so far. Not that they were bad but they were just normal. Some of them were actually bad. Like waiting for a bird to die!!? Seriously? What was that! She wasn't impressed, nope. She had hopes for potions though. Hopefully, they'll get to brew some interesting potion. One that could come in handy.

Fingers looped around her bag straps, the fifth-year entered the classroom her eyes observing the faces. She wasn't late, good.

Before taking a seat she approached her head of house and nodded, "Good day, Professor Lafay," With that she turned on her heels and made a beelines for one of the seats.

Laura walked into the potions class and smiled. "Hello Professor." Laura decided she would be friendly today. "Did you have a great summer Professor?" Laura then went and found an empty seat and sat down and waiting quietly for the lesson to start.

Lafay... Sarah wondered why she was taking this subject, then she reminded herself that although it was stressful, it was useful. Also, making the potions herself allowed her to save money. "Hi Professor" she greeted.

She sat down, as that was the instructions and took out her things from her satchel. With the triwizard thing coming up, she would have to work hard not to daydream

Potions!

The boy ruffled his hair as he headed down the corridor towards the Potions classroom. After certain things that happened last year, Alec did feel better about this class than he had previously. That didn't stop him from feeling slightly nervous, though. He didn't even know why he felt particularly nervous today but... it just seemed to happen. Hence the hair ruffles. ALL the hair ruffles!

He hastily fixed his hair before stepping into the classroom. So he wasn't late? Yeah? Awesome. His eyes scanned the classroom quickly before resting on the Potions Mistress. "Hello Professor!" he said, walking forward and giving her a small smile. He was about to ask about the Little Professor but... decided against it. It wasn't as if the two, Alec and Lafay, were particularly close. It'd just be a little awkward, yeah?

Shrug.

The seventeen year old headed over towards an empty seat towards the middle of the classroom and sat down. His quill and parchment were pulled out and his bag dropped to the floor, under his desk. There. Yeah. He was ready!

There was nothing like a good few chocolate frogs to wake a girl up before Potions class. It wasn't all that likely that she'd fall asleep during Professor Lafay's class but she couldn't risk being even a little drowsy either because this was a class riddled with explosions if you didn't do it right--not that she minded but the last time she spoke of exploding cauldrons she was promised certain death at the hands of the lovely Potions Mistress.

Lex walked into the class, without much haste in her step. There was no need. She was perfectly early and wouldn't break a sweat trying to be earlier. Though was it possible to sweat in some place so cold? She didn't know.

Glancing around the room she spotted a certain pessimist with an interesting look on life (Steelesheen). Alexa walked over to her and plopped down next to her and the...er...supply cupboard..."Hello Professor." Eyes on the strange claw. "And we're sitting here because?" Lex was sitting here out of curiosity and choice. What was Huxley's excuse?

Oh but there was Cassia. HAI CASSIA!

What was today's class...Potions..

The redhead yawned briefly as she made her way through the Dungeons. She was feeling a bit under the weather today, didn't really have any explanation for it, other than the fact that her head was hurting. But, regardless of that, here she was.

Nicola ran her fingers through her hair, making a quick check for any strands of hair trying to form a knot, which she highly doubted judging by the fact her whole purpose of being revolved around her flowing locks. And being that her fellow redhead before her who graduated last term; a Miss Ness Dixon, had passed on the Redhead Title to yours truly, she had to represent for all of her fellow redheads out there!

She entered the classroom, taking a quick glance at the Professor at her desk. Nicola cleared her throat before saying in a calm tone, "Professor Lafay.." Without a moment of hesitation the seventh year made her towards a seat and placing first her things, then her bum down. Quickly crossing her legs, Nicola then flipped some of her hair out of her face. Letting out a soft sigh, she began to examine her nails a bit as she waited for class to start.
