Cael spun around with a start at the sound of a girl's voice. Backing up against the wall, he pulled his hands away from his heart and shoved them into the folds of his sleeves. Willow...

"Come to see your owl then?" he forced a fake laugh between his teeth in an attempt to act natural. He didn't think the owls bought it, much less her.

"Everything's fine, just sending a letter to my family is all. You know how they worry and whatnot..." he trailed off, staring wistfully out toward the Forbidden Forrest through the open window. If only he could find a way to get out there without getting caught. The risk of expulsion wasn't worth it. He'd just have to wait for Marcus' reply and hope for the best.

Cael cleared his throat, turning back to the girl in front of him. "It's been a while, Willow. I don't think we've seen each other since Divination and we haven't talked since the train. How've you been?"

Willow raised her eyebrow. Something wasn't right but she knew better then to pry into Cael's personal life. He would tell her if he wanted to...

Shrugging, she grinned mischievously at him.
"Oh yeah I've been good, you know, just seeing how many house points I can get taken off me, the usual!" she laughed, as Turtle took off, probably to go hunting.
"What about you? I heard you got yourself a girlfriend!" Willow said, winking at him.

It was good to talk to Cael again. She did miss him, even if he didn't realise.

Jez leant against the wall, her forehead pressed against the cold stone. She was an idiot. A total idiot.
Her shoulders shook with sobs, and she hoped to hell nobody was watching, because she couldn't take that humiliation as well. She pulled a letter from her pocket and read it over.
Keegan - why haven't you been sending me letters? What's going on? Your last letter was so vague. What's the matter with Than? Is he alright? Why won't you answer my questions? Please, just tell me something that will make me feel better, because I can't take your silence anymore. Love Jezabel
An owl hopped onto Jez's shoulder, obviously guessing why she'd come up here with a scrap of paper. Jez attached the letter to its leg. "Give this to Keegan Black. You'll find him at St Mungo's Hospital in London, probably." If he had any decency and was helping Than, of course. The owl gave a hoot, and flew out the nearby window. Jez didn't bother to watch it fly away like she normally did, but walked out of the Owlery and made her way to the Ravenclaw common room.

"Hey there Jinx" Maddy said. She had another letter to deliver, Maddy tied it to Jinx's leg and she was off.

Angelina ran into the Owlery with her letter to her parents. She looked for her owl and found him in the same place he has been. She walked up to the owl and tyied the letter to her owls leg. When Angelina thought it was on there good she took Newbert to the window and held her arm out, tell Newbert flew away. Once he flew away Angelina stood in the same place and watched him fly. She was excited to finally tell her family she got into Slytherin and how school was going. She also was very sorry it took her so long to send a letter to them since she has gotten here, but she knew they would say it was fine. Once Newbert was far enough where Angelina wouldn't see him she turned around and started walking back to the school.

Josephine saw her owl coming back, that was rather fast "Heyou! Was Hikaru nice?" she took the letter and read it quietly.

Ryan wandered into the into the Owlery and found his Owl.He had a letter to give to his parents.It said:


Dear Mother and Father

I am having a lovely time here at Hogwarts.I have met so many nice people.
I can;t wait to see you next,Say hello to Aunt Desiray for me please.

Newbert came back with a new piece of parchment attached to his leg. Angelina ran over and grabbed it. She reconized the hand writing as her mothers. She ripped it open and read:

Lilly ran up to the owlery with her parent's letter that she had written at the study tables. The found a snowy owl, gave him the parchment, and told him to bring it to the muggle post office.

MJ huddled into the Owlery. It was freezing and she had so many layers on she could barely bend her elbows, neck and knees. Little Muffin was huddled into her shoulder. Avis still hadn't totally accepted him, but MJ could see that he had a certain big brotherly protective feeling developing towards the little ball of green fluff.
"Avis; I have a mail job for you!" She called. To her surprise, he was his usual affectionate self towards both her, AND Muffin!! MJ grinned at the big barn owl. Muffin hopped up and down, and Avis hooted excitedly and flew round in circles. MJ gave him her letter and took him to the window. He even looked back and hooted before he disappeared from view.

Ryan rushed up to the Owlery with an important letter in his hand.He found his and tied the letter to the Owl's leg.
The letter said:

Matthew ran to the owlery. He grabbed some parchment and wrote:

Lilly thought for a minute, then grabbed some parchment and scribbled down:
Again, she told the gorgeous tawni owl to take it to the muggle post office.

Rose walked to the Owlery and sat down, writing her letter.



Rose sighed and tied this letter to her owl, Hazel and watched as she flew away. 'Bye Hazel. Hurry and send back their reply!' she called.

Jez walked into the Owlery feeling a lot happier than the last time she'd sent a letter. She leant on the wall to write another one to her older brother.

Keegan - I'm so glad Than's going to be alright! You had me scared there! Everything's okay at Hogwarts. Classes, a Quidditch match (Ravenclaw against Slytherin, snakes won ), Hogsmead (Honeydukes was awesome!), and I even taught my friend Erin how to ice-skate! And then there's Scott ... he's one of my best friends, but things have been, well, weird between us. I think I have a crush on him. My friend Nate certainly thinks so - he told me straight in the common room a few nights ago. I don't know. Scott had a girlfriend earlier this year, a Slytherin called Chelsea Charm, and he broke up with her because of his parents thinking he's not old enough to date. Jez slipped the letter into an envelope without rereading it, and quickly attached it to an obliging owl. "Take this to Keegan Black," she instructed, then gave the owl a little bit of sugar cube she'd gotten from breakfast that morning, and let it swoop through the window.

Harvey wanted to send a letter requesting something, so he walked into the owlery looking for his owl Frost.
He saw him sitting on a perch up high
"Hey Frost come down here I need to send something!" Harvey called out to his owl

His owl Frost came down and Harvey gave him the parchment

"Give this letter to mom or dad ok? and please come back with their reply as soon as possible." He told Frost, Frost hooted as if to agree to what Harvey said and then his owl flew off. Harvey watched him until he was out of sight and then left the owlery. He hoped that he would receive his request soon.

Wow! That was quick! Lilly saw two owls, struggling with the weight of her gutair. There was a small , battered piece of paper tied to it. She took the gutair off the owls, and stroked them both. Lilly looked at the note. It said:
Lilly sighed as she remembered her mum. She grabbed a piece of parchment, and scribbled:

Ryan strolled up to the Owlery and found his School Owl that he was using.He noticed it had a letter on it,the letter said:

Minerva went to the Owlery and looked for her favorite black owl. She heard the cute hoot and knew he had seen her. "You know I think you should become my owl." She teased as she pet him. "I have an letter for you midnight." She changed his name again, she just couldn't decide what to call him and didn't know if the school had a name for him or not. She reread her letter:

So sorry it has been so long since I have written. Things are so busy here. Classes are going well I finally feel like I'm fitting in here. It took longer then usual. Anyway things are going well, but I was wondering could you send me some things. We like to have celebrations in Hufflepuff's common room so if you could send me some pop and chips that would be great. Then I need a new Hockey Jersey I want to give it to someone.. Minerva placed it on midnight and off he flew.

Ronnie finally reached the owerly. She looked for a school owl, and finally spotted one. It flew down to her and she walked it over to a window. She tied the letter to its leg and smiled at it. "Give this to Rupert Weasley, please." she said grinning, and giving it a treat she had brought a long. She watched as the owl flew away, and headed back for the Gryffindor common room.

Harvey went down to the owlery to send off his first letter post the christmas holidays, he was now planning to send a letter to his parent regularly as they had told him to. He saw his owl waiting for him as if he knew that a letter was to be sent out today

"Hey buddy how are you doing?" he asked feeding Frost some treats. Frost hooted as if to say fine. "Give this to mom or dad ok? Good boy" He said stroking Frost's head and giving him the letter.

Text Cut: Letter to Home Post Christmas Break

He stayed in the owlery until Frost was out of sight and then he left

Jez stalked into the Owlery, searching for an appropriate owl. She found an eagle owl that looked good for what she needed it to do. She leant against the wall and scribbled a note not bothering with formal punctuation, which she knew her parents would hate.

Mother and Father - If you get a letter from a person claiming to be friend of mine in Hogwarts telling you about a boy I'm possibly dating, please don't believe it, it's a lie. I swear I'm not dating anyone, non-pureblood or not. Just burn the letter when you receive it, okay? - Jezabel

Jez stuffed the note into an envelope and addressed it. She attached it to the eagle owl's leg, giving it hurried instructions. "Take this to Maurice and Cassandra Black. If you see a brown barn owl with a white crest delivering a note to them as well, stop it any way you can. Make sure its letter isn't delivered. If you succeed in intercepting that letter, come straight back without delivering this one. If you don't see that barn owl, just deliver as normal. Got all that?" The owl hooted amiably. "Then go, as quick as you can!" The owl took off through the window.
Jez watched it go, worry creasing her forehead. If her parents knew she was planning to date a non-pureblood ... she shuddered to think of the consequences. They were so strict about blood purity, more than Jez was willing to let on to her friends. Living at home was hell - she couldn't so much as think the word 'Muggle' without her parents lecturing her on the importance of keeping the wizarding race alive. "Toujours pur," they would continually say to her. And she would have to reply, "Always pure." Because that was what it meant. It was like living in Nazi Germany, but this time the Jews were Muggles. Jez had thought she'd gotten away from that, but apparently not. At least not with her treacherous cat around, anyway.
