Alexa was literally draaaagging her feet on her way to Muggle Studies. Last class there was no food or sugar and a whole lot of extra thinking about muggle things she wouldn't have to worry about on a regular basis. When would she ever have to pull apart a circuit, or make one in a rush? Never. That was what lumos was for, obviously. Just as soon as she became of age there was going to be NOTHING that she did without her wand. It made life more convenient. It wasn't her fault muggles had to do without magic, she didn't tell them to be mundane.

Today the room looked weeeird.

Those looked a lot like regular old grocery bags. She would know that. Amanda went grocery shopping all the time but what did that have to do with this clas--WERE THEY GETTING FOOD??? Was this for REAL????

Lex hopped into a seat, practically bouncing now in anticipation for what might have happened. The board said not to look or ask so she didn't but she DID grin at the Professor. "Hello Professor!!!!! Pleasant day for food isn't it??" Just getting prepared, mhm.

MUGGLE STUDDIES! YES! A subject where Abbi actually could KNOW what she was talking about! Clearly Abbi's best subject as of currently. The hyper firstie entered the classroom with her usual beam and went straight over to the Professor to greet her.

"Gooood Morning, Professor!" She sounded all cheerful and happy. Today would be a good day, Miss Abbi could feel it in her bones. Except curiosity already began to peak at the youngling's mind. She looked at the bags on the Professor's desk then looked at the board and read the three rules.

Rules were totally meant to be broken okay? "Wha--" She stopped cause she remembered points. Now she didn't exactly want a gazillion, billion, trillion points taken away JUST for asking a question about bags. That would be silly and Abbi could be patient...or she would at least try.

So patient she attempted to be as she took her seat near the front half of the semi-circle.

WHAT WERE IN THOSE BAGS? HMMMM?

Oooohhhh Muggles Studies was her next class. Minerva headed for the class as she checked her bag making sure she brought her materials. Paying more attention to her bag than where she was walking the seventh year slammed into the wall instead of going through the door. "Ouch" She rubbed her face a bit as she moved over and walked the rest of the way in. Feeling dumb, but giggling at her own stupidity she looked up and smiled at Professor Hadley, "Hi Professor, sorry about my entrance" She giggled again.

Moving along she found her usual front row seat and sat down pulling out her parchment and pen, it was muggle studies so of course she could use her muggle pens instead of quills. What color to use today though, she pulled for the purple one and put the rest back. Looking to the board she glanced at the bag, no one had to tell her twice not to look in a bag after what happened in Astronomy. Nope she was fine just sitting and waiting.

Caleb wasn't that excited to be here - he hadn't really gotten into the whole ELECTRICITY thing last lesson. It just seemed so silly when they could use magic. This whole CLASS was silly, to be honest.

"Hiya Professor," caleb said with a smile. He was still polite obviously even if this wasn't his favorite class. Don't ask what was in the bag? Well, no problem there. Caleb didn't care what was in it as long as it wasn't a circuit.

Before she knew it, it was once again time for Muggle Studies. She only hoped that the class would go by quickly and that it wouldn't be a completely terrible time. As soon as she walked into the classroom she noticed how the desks were arranged and wondered what muggle nonsense she was going to have to endure today.

"Hello professor." Maybe she didn't have a choice and was forced into this postion? That was always a possibility you know. Still, Arithmancy wasn't that much better.

The sixth year made her way to a seat away from everybody else. She wondered if that was such a good idea though because she would most likely need to pay attention to the muggle lovers so she could get through the lesson. She noticed the directions and pulled out a fresh piece of parchment and a pen. Normally, she would not have even cared about what was in the bag, but knowing that she couldn't ask only made her wonder that much more.

Muggle Studies.

Ella slipped in quietly and eyed the open window, shivering a little. It was cold in here. "Hello Professor," She greeted with a small smile on the way by. She wondered what they'd be doing but had seen what was written on the board. No questions. Got it.

Setting her things down beside a seat on the opposite side of the room from the windows, the blonde searched through her bag for paper and a pen. She then placed them on her desk and sat back in her chair, waiting.

Maybe there was food in those grocery bags? Mmm. Food.

Lilly liked Muggle Studies. But that was because she totally got it, having grown up in the muggle world. It all made sense, the electricity stuff, even now after seven years of magic. She made her way down the corridor to the classroom silently. Before, she'd have hummed, smiled, anything, but now her face was expressionless, totally blank.

"Hello, Professor," Lilly said, managing to force a small smile. She glanced around the classroom, taking in the unusual arrangement before taking a seat. Ooooh, what was in the bags? Curiosity couldn't die.

And there was a big space.

A big space in the middle of the classroom, with no chairs. All of the chairs were around the outside of the room, the desks, too. Did the lesson involve something to do with having to see the rest of the people in the room? Because a circle totally filled that description.

Those bags certainly had something to do with the lesson, though. Although curious, the fourth year murmured a, "Hello, Professor,", before sliding into a seat and taking pen and a notebook out of her bag.

Kace made his way to Muggle Studies.

This was one of his favorite classes. He really enjoyed learning things from a wizarding perspective. As he made his way into the classroom he noticed his fellow students made it there before him. But he was here early enough to find a seat. He looked over and noticed the Professor was in the front of the room. He smiled brightly and said, "Hello Professor!"

His eyes traveled to the bags and he wondered what could be in them. But he knew they were grocery bags and he knew there would be some type of food in them but he didn't wanna give it away just yet. He smirked and he read the board and didn't ask the professor.

He made his way to his seat and sat down and took out his notebook and began to do his daily classroom doodles.

After the buzzer electricity lesson, Alec was pretty excited about coming to this lesson. He did like the buzzer him and Tobias got to use. And he had learnt something from last lesson which he recited in his head as he headed down the corridor to the classroom. They were as follows: a) circuits weren't bad, b) everyone -- or was it most people? -- had electricity inside of themselves and c) he was TERRIBLE at puns. Not just bad... TERRIBLE.

The boy shrugged the thought away and entered the-- ... Oh? This was... an odd set up. And the classroom was quite cold, did Hadley know? Speaking of Hadley and the grocery bag on her desk. He opened his mouth to greet her and enquire about the bag but then his eyes landed on the board where... no questions. Right. "Hello Professor!" he said instead. He was still curious to know what was in the bag. Yeah.

The Hufflepuff turned away and headed over towards an empty seat. ... Yeah... he had questions about the large space in the middle of the classroom too, but he didn't ask about it. Instead, he reached into his bag and took out a pen and his notebook and placed them onto his desk. There.

Muggle studies. This should be easy, yeah? So, coming into the room Tag hesitated at the set up but didn't care. In fact he never really cared when classrooms were designed differently for new lessons. It didn't bother him.

Professor Hadley got a "Hello Professor!" from Tag and then the boy went to find his seat. Curiosity killed a kitty and Tag was curious but it had been written on the board that he couldn't ask what was in the bag. Might as well take a seat before his question came out.

Moving around Tag spotted his favorite hair ruffler, badger person and sat down next to Alec and got out his own pen and notebook. Step one done.

Weird bags and different set-up in the room. Nigel was fine with the semi circle. But the black hole in the middle of the room was a little weird. But well as long as they were not doing anything with circuits, Nigel would be fine.

"Hello Professor"

Nigel did not want to ask what was in the bag. But he was curious to what was inside the bag. Where they going to be studying muggle food because that would be awesome.

West was a Slytherin. This meant self-preservation. So if the board said not to look in a bag or ask what was in a bag, he sure wasn't going to go snooping. Whatever it was would be less likely to bother him as long as it was contained. He would wait.

He took a seat and did just that. Waiting with his things at the ready.

Well, then.

Lottie was clearly distracted, CLEARLY, because she almost took the seat next to Nigel instead of Lex. They don't even look alike!

"Hi, Professor!" She said, pretending to be looking around and walked to Lex this time. Weird stuff was weird, yeah? Exactly. She gave her best friend a smile before finally sitting where she had intended to sit in the beginning.

Can you imagine if she'd sat next to Nigel and greeted him as Lex? Fun times, definitely.

Adi was looking forward to this lesson as he had quite enjoyed the first one. "Hello, Professor!'' he said enthusiastically. He eyed the bags. Were they gonna go grocery shopping?

His eyes now caught the writing on the board. Seat, pen, no peeking, no asking. no problem! Adi followed the instructions and waited for Professor Hadley to get started.

It seemed weird to Penelope that they weren't even allowed to ask about what was in the bag. After all her years at Hogwarts, she didn't expect professors to actually answer such a question whenever they had hidden things in the classroom because they never did, but they'd never said they couldn't try to ask before. At least not that she could remember. She wouldn't have asked anyway but now she almost wanted to.

She didn't though and instead simply smiled at Hadley. "Hi Professor." She then headed for a seat, and it was then that she noticed the windows were open and that made her shiver a little. Apparently she should've brought a jacket. Meh.

It wouldn't be a Hadley lesson if Alexa weren't one of the first ones into her classroom. You know, for a girl who claimed to dislike numbers and muggle studies, she showed up at her classes with such an open mind of eagerness.

Or maybe she was just hungry and the faster she got through her classes, meant the faster she would get to lunch. Perhaps having muggle studies be after lunch, instead of before, would be better?

"Hello Miss Cambridge! Food is a daily staple, so I'd say yes, but let's not get our hopes up." Wink. Really, this was Hadley they were talking about.


"Morning Miss Campbell!" Fina said to the cheerful young Lion first year who entered next.

She had to just smile mischievously over at the first year when she nearly asked her what was in the bag, but then caught herself. Patience, little one, Fina thought to herself, ignoring the first word of her question, as she watched her from her periphery.

Her gaze fell back onto the entrance though at an 'ouch', which was something one did NOT want to hear at any point during their lesson. Oh, it was her prefect, who seemed to be well and fine, but just to make sure, "Morning, Prefect Wheatborn. It's fine, but well, are you sure you're okay? You don't need an ice pack or anything, do you? Because I picked a few up, just in case, for later." Leaning forward, she rummaged through one of the bags to find it. Cause groceries weren't the only thing muggles got at the grocery store.


"Hiya Newell!" Or male Newell, at least. So where was his other half? Surely she'd be meandering in shortly after.


Somebody didn't seem to happy to be here. Yet here she was. Still here. Slowly making her way to a seat on the end from everyone else. "Hello, Miss Lockwood. Welcome." Fina greeted back.


"Hello Captain Bishop!" At least one of her Puff leaders was able to pay attention where they were walking.

"Hello Lilly. Welcome." Fina replied back to the older Gryffindor.

"Hello and welcome!" Hadley replied as another student moved quietly into the room and took a seat. Such obedient students today.

"Morning Mr Lecium!" Hadley said, beaming at the young badger.

And there was someone else excited about the lesson! Beaming at the older Hufflepuff, she smiled at his greeting. "Hello back at you, Mr Summers!" Always a pleasure.

Another mischievous smile for this Gryffindor as she noted how quickly he took his seat. "Hello Mr Kildare! Welcome!"

And despite his clear difficulty with last lesson on electricity, Fina was pleased when she saw the Ravenclaw Prefect entering her classroom again.

"Morning Prefect Barrington! Welcome back!" Hopefully he'd understand what she had planned for today more. It should be fun.

And someone else slipping into the classroom. Quietly too, at that. So West Odessa got a polite smile and nod for keeping her on her toes, hehe.

"Hi, Miss Wisteria!" Fina greeted back, as she watched her about to sit near Nigel and then double back. And again. Weird.

"Hello there, Mr Rehman! Welcome back!" She smiled at the first year, who seemed quite content and patient in waiting for the lesson.



A few more minutes, Hadley flicked her wand and closed the door, and then flicked it at the opposite wall at the windows, to open a couple more. Needed to get the temperature just right and all.

"I probably should have told you to bring your mittens and jackets, if you had them." Fina muttered quietly. "Oh well. I have a few extra pairs of gloves if the cold becomes unbearable." She held up a basket of gloves, before setting it on her desk. It shouldn't be cold for too long though, if they did this right.

"So other than the common gloves and jackets that wizards wear, just as muggles do, does anyone know ways that muggles keep warm in the winter months? Some of them aren't so different from us, believe it or not."

Minerva still giggling shook her head, b] "No professor, I'm fine, I promise. Just need to pay a bit more attention is all."[/b] Her face really didn't even heart anymore, mostly her pride from being an air head for a moment.

Sitting and waiting for class to start she looked up as Hadley began talking. Gloves, Jackets, were they going to play in the snow? This always interested, but she loved her muggle things so she felt like she was home for even the smallest time. Putting her hand up with the question, "Professor we.. I mean muggles use hand warmies. They are little packets that heat up to keep your hands and feet warm while outside." She had used them at sports events with her dad a few times.

And now more windows were open. Merlin, Penelope was really wishing for that jacket now. Could she just summon it? Or run and get it since this was Muggle Studies and usually magic wasn't used for this. She was fine with that. But class was starting now and she doubted that would be allowed right now. So meh. She supposed she could handle it for now.

What did Muggles do to keep warm? "Stay inside where it's warm and not open the windows," she answered, raising her hand. Those were pretty basic ways to stay warm, but still true. If it was cold outside and you wanted to be warm, then you stay where it's warm, which was usually inside. And don't let the cold air in. She eyed the open windows for a moment.

Hadley was a cutie. Elodie liked her.

Not as much as 'fessor F. But enough to constitute big smiles at her all the time during class. And winter things were her absolute favourite, so...right now she was super bouncy too. HI HADLEY.

La. La. La.

Her hand went up and she wiggled her fingers, mainly because she'd had lots of sugar on her porridge that morning, but also because she wanted to say hi and she hadn't when she'd first came in. She was too busy choosing a seat. Heh. "Radiators!" Another of her favourite things.

And one of her names for horrible people.

Mischa edged into the Muggle Studies classroom. He was keen on knowing what the Hogwartians were being taught during this class. He settled in to a seat with a nod to the Professor.

Ah. Keeping warm during the cold months. Mischa could think of a few ideas. However he decided he would just listen to the students instead.

This class was awesome, just so everyone knew. Since he was awesome at it and all. Not that he was bragging, it was just a fact. Because if the muggle born did poorly in this class there was a problem. It was kinda hard sometimes though... since he didn't know a whole lot about England things. He was just very very lucky he had been forced to use a pay phone before.

When the window opened, he had one of those quick spazamy shiver things as the cold breeze first hit him. Meh, not so bad, just... colder than he was.

How did muggles keep warm? Kaiden's hand flew up. "The use fires, both in the house, and outside. Most people use matches to start them, but I..." He awkwardly stuck his hand in his pocket. "use one of these." He pulled out the fire starter that lived in his pocket at all times. Always be preparedness and all that. Plus, you never knew when one needed a fire on the grounds. "Its called a Fire Starter."

Jake loved muggle studies. It was probably his easiest class. Considering his mum was a muggle.

He raised his hand. "They use a heater in their house. It's like an air conditioner, only with... hot air instead of cold air." Wizards used fires mostly, didn't they? ... Jake was glad he wasn't planning on having a wizard sort of house later in life.

So they used a fireplace from what Hadley was saying. Plus they probably had their own heating system. Radiator and the more advanced muggle stuff. Nigel was going to say not open the windows. But Pen already said that. It was good advice. Oh Nigel did know of something

"Hand and Body Warmers"

Though muggles could not use the hot air charm. So they had to think of something.
