Yay, he'd gotten a mention from the professor for his answer! Davie wasn't too sure what this class was about yet, but it was getting better.

Picking up his stuff, he waited for his handcuffed partner so they could walk up to the front together. He didn't really want to be dragging Blaise around in front of Professor Moxley. She was too nice and plus she'd probably ask why they were handcuffed in the first place and honestly, that was a story he didn't feel like retelling right now.

So Davie kicked off his shoes, left them where they were, and loitered around the front of the room to see what they would be doing next.

Gwen was starting to love love LOVE Muggle Studies. "Why, this class is just like child's play!" She exclaimed. She remembered the forts she used to build and the plays she used to put on. With a grin, she grabbed her wheeled bag (she still wanted to use Muggle technologies for some things), kicked off her shoes, and looked around, hoping to see a few familiar faces. She hadn't really taken the time to see who was in attendance today.

There were people staring, the most obvious being Phillip because he was sitting right next to him. For his part, Blaise kept looking forward because as far as he was concerned, in his favourite class he was not attached to a thief. Unfortunately, looking forward meant not looking up to see all the cushions. Just think how much more excited he would be!!

As instructed, he packed up his things secretly appreciative Davie hadn't gone yanking at him when he wasn't ready cause that would have been hard to ignore then headed to the front of the room.

Shoes off like he was instructed to do and now it was simply time to wait for what would no doubt be the most awesome activity ever until his next Muggle Studies class, mhm.

What an interesting class! Sophie thought to herself as she made her way to the front of the room with her bag swung over her shoulder. Kicking her shoes off just like her class mates, she huddled closer to them. What would they be doing next? Hopefully something super fun! Sophie glanced around to see if she knew anybody.

Taking off their shoes? Oh geez. That never ended well. Still, Caleb obliged, taking his things and then slipping his shoes off and adding them to the collection at the front of the room.

He then returned to his place and waited patiently to see what craziness Moxley had in store for them today...

Yes, yes his answer was good, thanks Professor.

It took him no time at all to pack away his belongings, he hadn't really been using them anyway... his notebook was a waste in this class. Before he got up, he kicked off his shoes, opting to keep his socks on so he could attempt to slide across the floor.

And slide he did... kinda... go figure the floor wasn't the best for sliding, and neither were his socks it seemed.

Placing his bag on top of his shoes along the wall behind Moxely's desk, Zeke joined some of the others in waiting around to see what happened. Were they going to play chasey or something?

Who knew that playing make believe could help a kid in so many ways? If all the things that her classmates said were true, Janelle should be in good shape. Being the youngest child in her family with siblings six and eight years older, she had plenty of practice at pretending. She knew how to keep herself entertained.

Now it was activity time. Janelle gathered her things and placed them behind the professor's desk, as instructed. Then she took off her shoes and placed them on top of her book bag. Good thing she had worn her new socks today. Having completed her assigned tasks, Janelle was ready.......for whatever.

Colt dazed a little bit when he heard the second question. He was gonna go with his classmates answers because they seemed legit. He heard Professor Moxley's next set of directions and nodded. He brought up all his belongings to the room and now he needed to take off his socks? He shrugged and took them off. Sorry for the person having to smell his feet. He waited patiently for the activity to start. He wondered what activity they were gonna do without socks. Well sock surfing was out of the question wasn't it?

What? That seemed like a weird start to an activity. Oliver still had absolutely no idea what they were going to do. Moxley's instructions only succeeded in making him more confused than he already had been.

But he would do as he had been told. Oliver gathered up his bag (he hadn't taken anything out of it, so it wasn't hard) and stood up. What was the point in having the comfy chairs if they weren't even going to be sitting in them? Whatever. He dropped his bag at the front of the classroom and leaned down to pull off his shoes as well. He hoped nobody in the room had really smelly feet.

Putting their stuff away?

Didn't have to tell Zander twice!! He was already on it! Sending a smile over to Sophie as he did so. So couches. No shoes. No stuff. What the heck were they about to do here????

Zander had absolutely no clue, but he liked it already.

Man. MOXLEY WAS AWESOME!!!!!!

The Gryffindor quickly shoved everything into his bag before running it up to the front of the room. And then also took off his shoes and placed them right underneath. And now he was just curious. What were they doing and why didn't they need shoes? What if someone had really smelly feet? Naaaah. That wasn't a real concern. He just needed TO KNOW.

That's right, her answer was gooood!

Well, turns out she didn't need her notebook after all. At Moxley's instruction, Evie stuffed her book back into her bag and packed up her things. She brought them up and set them behind the professor's desk so they wouldn't get in the way and then went to the wall, as directed.

She thought it was interesting that they were taking off their shoes, but Evie kept her curiosity at bay and stood by the wall to wait for further instruction. Besides, she had perfectly manicured toes, so she wasn't worried.

Adi grinned at Moxley in response when she complemented him and Zeke then went up to finish his notes with a flourish. But then... inner child? His inner child was ALWAYS bubbling surprisingly close to his actual personality. Mhmm! His imagination wasn't so bad either.

Following his Head of House's suggestion, Adi packed up his stuff as he glanced at Benny. It looked like his friend would have to be a little less reserved today. But he knew how difficult that could be for him around others. He jumped up and led the way to dump his bag along the wall. Next, off went his which were set down in front of his bag.

All set here, Professor!

Okay, so there had been a couple of questions, to which Benny had remained quiet, prefering to listen instead. And now they were moving on, the Gryffindor not really having the faintest clue as to what they were going to do next. Well besides whatever had already been instructed. He obediantly took off his shoes before getting up to his socked feet and padding behind Moxley's desk to set the footwear and his belongings behind it.

Now to see just what they would be putting their imaginations to.

Norah nodded along to all the other answers. This was a good discussion. Maybe even the BEST discussion. Definitely deserving of her happy sticker, anyways.

Rubbing her eyes with one hand, she pushed herself up from the comfy chair and bent over to untie her shoes. You couldn't just slip them off. No way. The mere idea of that was absolutely horrid. It'd ruin her favorite trainers AGAIN. That'd already happened once when she'd left them in the garden right before a rain storm, she didn't need that sort of trauma all over again. She picked up her shoes and bag and took them to the front of the room, wiggling her toes in her socks before looking up and giving Professor Moxley a big smile. READY FREDDIE.

Paulina listened as everyone gave their thoughts on the matter, and she had to say that she had very insightful classmates; she wouldn't have been able to think of half of the answers herself.

As Professor Moxley announced that they were going to start with the activity, she hoped that it would be something fun like game. She wasn't interested in competitions, but something laid back was always welcome. She supposed that she would participate in anything so long as it didn't make her feel uncomfortable, and her Head of House never made her feel that way.

Quickly she packed up her stuff and brought it to the front of the room. Her shoes joined her bag against the wall and she waited for further instructions.

They were going to TAP INTO THEIR INNER CHILDREN? Well, that worked out great since Soph pretty much still WAS or FELT LIKE, at least, a child. She still had her imagination and her creativity and her adventurous side and her thrill for life, so she was ALL READY TO GO.

Nicely packing her things into her bag, Soph hurried alongside Zander up to the front of the room to set her bag down behind the desk with everyone else's things, then kicked off her shoes beside it, unfazed. Everyone was practicing good hygiene, yeah? There weren't going to be any stinky boy feet stinking up the whole room? Soph's socked feet were smelling fine, thank you, and she bounced up and down with enthusiasm as she waited to see JUST WHAT THEY WOULD BE DOING.

Hopefully something SUPER COOL that she and Zander could win at again, though. They were Muggle Studies CHAMPIONS, man.

Brooklyn hadn’t chosen to speak during the discussion. Mostly because her idea of a childhood activity was basically the same as she did now. Reading, and she’d been practicing ballet for a long time. The only ‘pretend’ she’d done was imagining book characters as real, and she still did that today. Actually, she didn’t think it was pretend at all. Therefore, the entire discussion had seemed irrelevant to her, and she’d just stayed curled up in her recliner idly toying with the hem of her shirt while she’d pretended to listen. The only real thing she’d gotten out of it all was that they were doing some sort of activity that involved no shoes. That and needed them to move all their belongings to the side of the classroom, which honestly wasn’t that surprising. Not this term anyhow. There’d been more activities like that than there had been the other kind.

Sliding out of her recliner, she walked over to the front of the classroom and set her bag down well away from most of the others. She didn’t trust anyone not to think about rifling through her things. Slipping her shoes off, those got set on top of her bag, another guard against anyone getting into it. Once she felt like it was all as safe as she could make it, she returned to the center of the classroom to wait.

Henric listened intently as professor Moxley explained to them in greater extent of why imaginative play was important for every child development process. He found her comprehensive bits of information useful and brilliant! He couldn't help but nod agreeably. They were then told to come up to the front of the class because they would need to clear some space for the fun activity they were about to do together soon. Henric slid off from his armchair and followed the rest of his classmates to the front. He began removing his shoes and set it aside beside his brown satchel bag. Once done,he continued to stand silently and waited patiently for his professor to add further instructions.

Angel couldn't wait to see what they were going to do today, she grabbed her things and then she packed them up like the Professor told them too. Angel was loving how much lately they didn't seem to be using books for this lesson, last time it was Bowling and now it was, well she would find out soon enough, she put her things at the front of the class like the Professor had asked.

Angel then took off her shoes and put them with her bag, she was totally enjoying this, was they going to run and shout and act like they were five again because if so she was totally down for that, it had been ages since she had let her hair down in that sort of way.

Candice listened carefully as Moxley explaining more about what did kids learn when they do imaginative plays. She also jolted down some notes because it might come in handy for her OWLs.

Then the Professor told them to pick up their stuffs and bring it to the front. They also need to remove their shoes? Okaaaay. She wonder what kind of activity they gonna do today? The Gryffindor quickly gather up her things and put them into her bag and set it down along the wall behind the Professor' desk. Now the shoes. She removed her shoes and set it beside her bag. There. Done. Now what?

Yoongi had been writing down notes in his little notebook using his flamingo quill and thus had not answered the questions and only listened to the answers. When it was time for them to start the activity, Yoongi raised an eyebrow when he heard they had to take off their shoes and set their belongings to the wall behind the professor’s desk.

He took off his shoes, revealing cute owl printed socks and walked to the wall to place his bag and shoes down. And waited.

Well Dante was listening the while time but did not have much to say after telling Moxley about Matress Surfing. Which resulted in him zoning out until he heard something about instructions. Oh right imaginative play something about tapping into your inner child. Still the problem with imaginative play. Is the older you get the more what is the word.....Not so innocent your imagination gets and it is harder to do back to a child imagination. Dante would leave it at that. Wait, what. They were suppose to bring all there stuff up front and take off their shoes.

Well....okay.

He did those two things and waited to see what they were suppose to doing with this activity whatever.

There was both listening and note taking happening from Hady right then. Only did she stop from her current task when they were told to do so. Gathering up her things she set her items back into her bag and rose to her feet slinging her bag over her shoulder and making her way for the front of the room. Without question she kicked off her sneakers lining them up against the wall behind the Professors desk and set her bag down on top of them.

Ready.

Pack up their things? He'd be MORE than happy to do so! Let's face it: no one wanted to be sitting there writing things down for houuuuuuuuuurs when they could be playing something or doing something that wasn't, you know, writing. That got tiring, you know. Tiring and BORING.

So, the first year started packing up all of his things -- which just included dumping everything into his bag and making a mental note to sort out the mess later -- and headed up to the front. The bag was dropped down near a corner which should be a lot easier to remember than if he had placed it somewhere towards the middle of the--

STINKY FEET ALERT!

Oh MERLIN, the CHEESE. POO-WHEE!

Phillip wrinkled his nose and even pulled a face as the cheese roamed free. MERLIN! This was cheesier than a four cheese pizza and, frankly, he LIKED the smell of four cheese pizza. And it was making it hard to breathe, you know. Shaking his head, the boy pulled off his own shoes and placed them right near his bag. He then stood there and wiggled his toes in his spaceship dark blue socks.

Okay, now what?

While the kiddos got prepared for their activity, Moxley did a little preparing of her own. First, she made sure everyone was at the front of the room, next she located the string that was casually hanging from the ceiling by her floating white board, and finally, she pulled said string.

It was definitely a sight to see as the nets rigged up all over the ceiling were released, causing many colorful cushions to fall to the floor, landing sporadically on and around the furniture already positioned in the room. Grinning, the muggle studies professor picked up a series of index cards off her desk and casually hopped from cushion to cushion, dropping the index cards on the uncovered parts of the floor. Once that was done, she returned to the front of the room and cleared her throat. They were ready to roll now.

"For those of you paying attention to the answers given earlier-and I hope you all were-Mr. Romalotti guessed today's activity! Yes, on my count, we'll be playing Hot Lava!" She paused for a moment and then continued, her excitement evident in the way her body simply wouldn't keep still. "In just a moment you'll all want to find yourselves a cushion to stand on because the floor will be lava and you do not want to step on that!" Cue dramatic faces! "Your challenge is this, young adventurers: Make your way from the front to the back of the room, avoiding stepping in the lava at all costs! You may use the cushions, the furniture, your friends-just avoid the floor!" Solemn nodding. "For you poor souls that don't have great balance and do end up in hot lava, you'll find index cards. On each index card is a task you have to complete before you continue on your journey." Easy to understand, yes? "Now on the count of three, you all better be on a cushion of some kind, because we're going to begin!" Were they ready?!

"One...two...three...HOT LAVA!" That meant start, y'know, in case they were wondering. Also, had anyone SEEN how fast Moxley had hoisted herself up onto her desk to avoid the "hot lava?" Yeah, she was pretty impressive.
