Sweet so he got a partner. That wasn't too hard was it? Nah he nodded and said, "I am Colt. Nice to meet ya Janelle." He heard her question and he scoffed playfully of course. Has he been bowling before? He smiled and laughed, "Yeah I have actually. My family likes to do it for fun a lot. My mom is pretty good at it she always beats me." He admitted to that. She had a strong throwing arm. Oh right the bowling shirts. He was gonna ask her what color she wanted but she told him it didn't matter. He shrugged and went over to pick out a color. He saw organe was picked out already but he didn't want a bright color.

He skimmed the options and picked on blue. That was one of his favorite colors. He came back with blue shirts and showed it to Janelle. "What do you think?" he asked and put the shirt on over him and modeled it. "Do I look model material?" he joked a bit.

While the class came up to the front of the room for partner and shirt purposes, Moxley got out her wand and casually pushed all the desks against the walls, leaving the middle part of the classroom completely open and seemingly bigger than before. (Thank you, Magic!) She was about to bring out the tools they'd be needing for the activity, too, when she noticed one of the students heading for the door...



Now that that was handled, the brunette set three small red bags on the floor in a row at the center of the room. As she tapped each one, they inflated to become giant inflatable bowling lanes. Once those were up, she brought out a series of small clear pieces of plastic which turned into giant inflatable bowling balls when tapped. These were pushed off to the side of the room for the moment while Moxley called for the attention of the group once again.

AHEM.

"Alright, everyone, who is ready to bowl?!" Hehe. "As you can probably tell, this is not ordinary bowling. Oh no. Instead, we'll be human bowling today!" Were they pumped? She certainly was!

"You and your partner should pick a lane and wait in line. When it's your turn, one of you will be the pusher and one of you will be the ball. The pusher is responsible for helping to zip their partner into the inflatable bowling ball and then running them towards the lane, but letting them go before they cross the foul line! Then on the next turn, you will switch roles." Seemed easy enough, yes? Well... "If the pusher on your team isn't able to stop themselves before their feet cross the foul line, the inflatable ball their partner is in will start to deflate and they'll need to use a muggle air pump found behind my desk to pump the ball up again before you can get back to playing!" And no, she wouldn't be helping with the pumping. Moxley knew she had muscles and all but the ickles needed to do their own work.

"As you may have noticed, this is six pin bowling. Each team is expected to take five turns in total. The team with the most knocked down pins in total at the end of their five turns will be the winner. Ties are, of course, possible."

With that said, she clapped her hands and gestured for the kids to have at it.

THEY WERE PLAYING HUMAN BOWLING?!

ASDFGHJKL BEST. CLASS. EVER!!!

The first year was EXCITED. Oh he was so PUMPED -- AHA GEDDIT? -- to get this show on the road! Human bowling! Where they got to roll in a giant inflatable ball down a giant inflatable bowling lane and knock down some giant pins. Could it get any better than that?!

But for that, he still needed a partner. Uh. Phillip suddenly deflated -- aha he was on a roll -- as he started looking around the class. Most people were ALREADY in a pairing and finding someone who was on their own as well was going to be IMPOSSIBLE. And he refused to work on his own. REFUSED. Where was the fun in THAT?!

So, the Slytherin cleared his throat and called, "STEP RIGHT UP, ROMALOTTI UP FOR GRABS TO PARTNER UP WITH." Which translated to: he needed someone to push down the bowling lane in a giant inflatable ball.

It would have been a lie to say that Daxton was expecting to make it out of the classroom unnoticed. In his experience, teachers had a tendency to notice things; usually all the things he did not want them to notice. So he was unsurprised to find his process halted by Professor Moxley.

For a moment, Daxton was worried he would be forced to remain inside this room until the lesson period was over, but it soon transpired that that was not the case. He considered her words for a moment, before nodding his head. He did not know why she would want to talk to him at all, but saw no reason no reason not to visit her office as requested.

With no further acknowledgement, and certainly with no feelings of guilt, Daxton continued on out of the classroom, eager to leave before the noise level crept up any higher, and before he drew too much attention to himself from anyone else. She had, after all, said that he could leave. And so he did.

"Uh, not really," Olly answered David. Sure he'd heard of it before, but he wasn't all that great at paying attention to things like rules when he didn't care about them. So he didn't know anything except what Moxley had just told him. "I take it you don't, either?" They could figure it out. How hard could it be?

Olly's excitement grew at the sight of the lanes. HUMAN BOWLING? THAT SOUNDED SO EXCITING! Olly quickly pulled his shirt on over his head and turned to David. "Are you ready?" Olly certainly was. "What do you want to be first?" He'd even be nice and let David pick. Olly really wanted to be the ball but they got to take turns so that was nice. He was fine with waiting. He could be patient. Being the pusher should be fun too. IT WOULD BE SO FUN!

Gwen was looking for a partner too. And to be honest, she really, REALLY liked the idea of rolling in the ball. She approached the older Slytherin, who seemed outgoing and fun. She liked how he threw himself out there and asked for a partner. She would have been insecure. "Hi. I'm Gwen. I'm a Hufflepuff first year. Can we be partners?"

"Nice to meet you too, Blaise." Paulina was going to try her best to remember his name though she didn't think it would be difficult. "I assume you know Adi though?" He seemed like the kind of boy that everyone would know because he was so friendly and sociable.

The Professor was starting to explain the instructions, so Paulina quickly put on her bowling shirt as she listened to how the game worked...and she had to admit that she wasn't thrilled about what the woman said. What happened to playing normal muggle bowling using balls? Did they really have to push each other?

Siiiiiigh.

Frowning slightly, she turned her attention back to Blaise. "What do you want to be first?" She would leave that up to him even though she didn't really want to do this activity anymore.

Luckily for Phillip, it wasn't long before someone came up to him to ask him if he wanted to be partners with them. Which was GOOD because, you know, he didn't want to be on his OWN. How sad would that be?!

But this girl? Neeeeeever seen her before. Nope. Not even looking her up and down helped with figuring out if they had passed each other in the corridors or not. "Hey, Gwen," he said, beaming at her, "I'm Phillip, Slytherin first year." Remember his name, okay? OKAY. "Yeah! I don't think you can roll yourself down the bowling lane. That's impossible and definitely NOT AS FUN."

"Do you know what colour shirt you want?"

Human... bowling? Bowling with shrunken heads was one thing, but now they were bowling with whole, live humans. It made more sense when Evie saw the giant inflatable ball. And it actually seemed quite fun, too. Unfortunately, she had no partner yet. Evie had her bowling shirt on and frantically looked around for someone who was still solo.

"I still need a partner!" she announced, raising her arm for all to see. Help? Partner? Plz?

"Nice to meet you too Colt", Janelle replied. "Oh good", she thought. Her partner had bowled before and so had she. Well they had that going for them. Janelle was starting to think that they might be hard to beat in this bowling contest.

Colt surveyed the bowling shirt choices and Janelle nodded in agreement when he picked the blue one. Blue just happened to be her favorite color. She really didn't care what color Colt chose, but he definitely got bonus points for picking the blue one. "Good choice", Janelle said approvingly. She began to laugh when Colt went all male model on her and tried on the shirt. "Oh yes daaahling, you look simply maaaahvelous." Taking her shirt, she put it on just in time because Professor Moxley began to explain what they would be doing.

Janelle stared blankly when she heard the instructions. Muggle Studies professor say whaaat? Human bowling? Well their advanage just went out the window. The though of being zipped up inside a bowling ball did not exactly appeal to Janelle, but she was going to give it a try. Did she really have a choice?

Looiking at her partner, Janelle said, "This is not exactly what I was expecting" Managing a smile she added, "It should be fun though, right?" At least she hoped it would be. Janelle started walking toward the nearest lane. "So what would you like to be first, the pusher or the pushee?" While Colt was deciding, she tried to get herself menatally prepared for her first try at human bowling.

Someone was way too happy that their badge had been noticed. Brooklyn honestly didn’t see why it was such a big deal. It just meant having more responsibility, really. It wasn’t like it changed her opinion about anyone. At best she just knew it was possible to work with Norah, from experience. A shiny badge didn’t change that one way or another. Nor did enthusiasm. It wasn’t like she was looking forward to bowling, and she remembered activities like the mail one. Being wrapped in bubble wrap and transported…it was just odd. She’d liked Professor Glendower, and activities like when she’d gotten to pretend she was Cliodhna. Even though she’d only argued about how fairy tales weren’t real during that lesson.

But Professor Glendower wasn’t there anymore. They had a ghost teaching History now, and Professor Moxley was still there. With her crazy activities. She’d looked up at the warning, though, catching the purple shirt before it hit the ground. A shrug had soon followed, before she slipped the shirt on and listened as the activity was explained. Purple was fine. She could deal with purple. Purple was royal after all. “So who wants to go in the ball first?”, she asked after a moment. Another lesson where they couldn’t just use normal Muggle things. Sigh.

Cinna gave Tia a friendly smile and nodded. It seem like she had been doing this term officially meeting people that she knew their names but had ever spoken to before. It was that horrible of a thing. It really didn't matter what color they got. And she was still a bit iffy about wearing those bowling shirts. But whatever

Oh that Cotton candy pretty one was so pretty even with that shirt. "That works for me." Nodding. So now what we're they suppose to do now that they had partners. So supposed they could talk a bit. "Are you any good at bowling?" You know just asking.

"Pink ladies." She laughed. "We'll be the pink ladies." Team spirt and all that jazz. The seventh year hadn't been paying attention to what professor Moxley was doing over there setting up stuff. HUMAN BOWLING. Alright Moxley you have her attention. That was totally making up for these bowling shirts which she grabbed the other cotton candy pink colored shirt and threw it on over her robes.

Oh the were getting started now? She linked arms with Tia her new best friend walking over to one of the lanes "Do you want to be the pusher or the ball?" So really wanted to be the ball it looked so fun.

Darn, Oliver wasn't a Muggleborn then, if he hadn't bowled before. "Nah... guess we both have something to learn then!" And he liked learning. He just didn't know how often he was going to apply the rules of Muggle bowling in his life after Hogwarts.

But anyway, onto the game! Davie watched with big blue eyes as Moxley inflated things and then informed them that THEY were going to become the balls. Oh no! He didn't want to do that! He was very happy not rolling anywhere at all ever again. No no no no no no no thank you, ma'am. Fortunately, he had a partner, right? And he could be the pusher and his partner could be the energetic ball that knocked down all their pins, right???!

Right. "I'll be the pusher, and you can be the ball," Davie answered. "Here, I'll help you in and everything." Wasn't he so nice?

Kate hesitated for a second, not really sure what the boy said his name was, but then she realized he had a slight speech problem, and it all started to make sense. "Nice to meet you, Cal," she said. Kate fished out a cyan shirt in her size and put it on over her current shirt. She was about to ask Cal if he knew what they were supposed to do next, when the professor spoke up and explained that very thing.

Human bowling?! "Oh, this sounds cool!" she said to Cal, hoping he shared her excitement. She quickly gestured for Cal to follow her as she joined the line already forming. She was ready to get up there NOW, not later! Yes. Kate Addison was a little ball of excitement right about now. Hee hee.

Finally, they were up, and Kate realized they still hadn't decided who would be the ball and who would push first. "Hmm...I'll push first, if that's okay," she told him. She looked toward Cal and then toward the ball. Once he was in, she'd zip him up and send him on down the lane.

With her purple shirt slipped over her head, Norah stopped to listen to the instructions of the activity before turning back to Brooklyn. She didn't look excited. WHY wasn't she excited? It was bowling with real live people! How often did you get to do that? Never. Pretty much never. That's why Moxley's classes were the very best. Maybe one day she could try it at home. Marcel'd make a really good ball (dizzy Marcel was the best type of Marcel for sure.) "I can be the ball first, if you want." The Slytherin didn't really look like she wanted to roll around on the floor, but it wasn't fair not to ask. Faces could lie sometimes.

Without waiting too long for an answer, Norah tilted her head in the direction of
a bowling lane that had just become free. "C'mon c'mon c'mon!" She made it over in two big leaps before stepping into the inflatable ball suit thingy. Heheheeh. Where did Professor Moxley even GET this stuff? "Zip me up?" So they could get going, yeah?

The young Ravenclaw didn't get that the small moment of hesitation in Yoongi's reaction to the shirt color so wasn't phased. He watched as the older boy pulled it on over his head and asked him how it looked. "Looks good to me," he said with a thumbs up. He quickly grabbed one himself and pulled it over his head, his mop of brown hair falling in his eyes before he could fix it. "Look good?"

Milo's eyes lit up as the Professor revealed the blow up bowling lanes and the human-sized inflatable ball. This was going to be so much fun. Someone was going to get to literally be the ball! Muggles got to play like this? This was way better than shrunken heads could ever be. "Yoongi look! Come on over here!" he said poking the older boy in the arm before scampering off to get in line.

This was their spot. He eyed the other kids in behind him. They needed to let Yoongi in right behind them. They were partners. Where was he?

"Should I be the ball first then since I'm smaller? It might be easier to see how it all works that way?" The Claw firstie decided that this was happening though because it was their turn! He clambered into the ball and held it closed tight so the air didn't escape. "Zip me up and push me towards the pins!" He basically screamed. Could he hear him inside the ball.

"ZIP ME UP AND PUSH ME TOWARDS THE PINS YOONGI!" There. He could hear maybe.

Waiting.

PINK! And it was a soft baby pink too, which made both girls look sort of bloomy and windblown. It was an excellent shade for them both. That meant that new friend Reagan had great taste when it came to color, and so they could definitely be friends. Definitely definitely.

"Nice to meet you, Rea. If you want, you can be the very first ball, and I'll push you down the lane." She bounced on the balls of her feet and urged Rea toward the ball. As soon as the girl was zipped into it, she would be ready to puuuuuuush her down the lane.

Would it be the most embarrassing thing ever if she missed all the pins?

It didn't seem so, Moxley didn't gave them the bowling shoes and that was pretty important since the bowling lane was quite slippery.

Then the Professor explained the activity instruction. HUMAN GIANT BOWLING? That's so wicked. "I can be the ball first if you want." The younger Gryffindor volunteered. She was small and light so Candice wouldn't require an extra energy to roll her. "Come on, zip me up and roll me toward the pins!"

Gwen realized that this guy was looking as if he'd never seen her before. "I'm an American student. I was supposed to go to Corona in Wisconsin, but my dad got a ministry position. So I'm here now! Anyway, why don't we do bright spring green for the shirts, a good mix of Slytherin and Hufflepuff colors?"

Oh looky! Moxley was making things happen! There was now a big space in the class. That was the first thing Adi noticed after pulling his orange shirt over his head. Wait... human bowling? HOW COOOOOL! He glanced at Benny and grinned. This was exciting!

The eager Hufflepuff grabbed Benny by the arm to drag him over to the nearest lane. Bestie was used to the Hufflepuff's hyperness and all, yes, so he wouldn't mind the slight manhandling... right? "You're going to be the ball first,'' he stated, bouncing on his feet as they waited for their turn. Uh huh. He was going to make Benny take the lead on the fun part of things. Besides, rolling him should be fun.

When their turn came, the seventh year waited patiently for Benny to climb in then got the ball all zipped up. "Ready or not, here we go!'' Haha. Kidding. He had checked to see that his partner was all set. Hands on the ball, Adi took off slowly at first, his hands working in coordination with his feet to roll Benny down the lane.

Rolling, rolling, rolling!

INCOMING FOUL LINE!

By now, Adi had gathered much more speed and so he skidded to a halt before the line, watching Benny roll allllll the way down the remainder of the lane.

WHAT? They were doing an activity that involved being trapped inside a ball? A wave of fear came over her. It had happened once before in astronomy, and she wasn't going to let it happen again. Wait, only one person had to be in the ball. That was okay. She could just be the pusher. Switch roles? No, she wasn't going to get inside one of those things. If the pusher stepped over the foul line the ball would deflate. Deflate on whoever was inside the ball. She was sort of starting to hyperventilate. Penelope was NOT going to do the being inside a ball thing. Was she having a panic attack? "Professor, do we- do we have to be in a ball? Can we choose not to be the ball?" Had she mentioned how she was really uncomfortable with the idea of being in a ball? Trying to breathe normally would probably be a good start to her attempt to calm down. Penelope would leave the room if anyone was going to try to force her into a ball.

BOWLING. Oooh. They were bowling. Owen finally made the connection with the shirt the prettiest Professor was wearing. Huh. Anyway...whut? Shrunken head Bowling Alley? They had that here in the magical world? It sounded cool...but mostly terrifying. And Owen didn't really want to find out for himself, thank you very much. He'd prefer this activity they were going to have. Human bowling. At least it sounded like their body parts would still be intact.

There was just a little problem. He still didn't have a partner.

Brooklyn could practically sense the question that wasn’t being asked. She could tell that Norah didn’t understand why she wasn’t bouncing all over the room in excitement over the activity that had just been laid out for the class to do. She also wasn’t about to explain it. She didn’t do hyper bouncing around like the Puffs so often seemed to like doing. Some Gryffindors too, and even the occasional Claw or Snake. The Slytherins who did were usually first years, though, so they were allowed. But she didn’t do enthusiasm, not over things like this. She didn’t have a reason to. But she nodded as the older girl offered to climb into the ball first. It made things easier for her. “I’m okay with that.” She wasn’t even concerned over being able to roll the ball.

If others could do it, so could she. She didn’t leap over to the lane like Norah had, though she made it over in good enough time. There wasn’t really any rush. They’d already claimed the inflatable ball after all. “Sure,” she said, the tiniest smirk on her face as she zipped the ball up, effectively creating a Hufflepuff ball. At least that was amusing. A Hufflepuff ball that she was getting to push, and she’d hardly waited to find out if Norah was ready before she started down the lane. Getting enough speed up that the ball continued rolling rather straight toward the pins as she’d skidded to a stop just shy of the foul line.

Charlotte had DEFINITELY chosen a purple shirt, though beyond that she hadn't REALLY paid much attention to what was going on. See this shirt? It was purple. She was wearing it already, over her uniform, and looking SMASHING, she rather thought. Not that she got why she had the shirt in the first place, she had just gone up and got one because she saw everyone else getting them!

She did, however, tie the ends together at her middle, and tuck and roll the sleeves up past her shoulders so it was more like she was wearing a vest over her uniform. No particular reason, it just felt right, okay?

And then the professor was being loud?

WAIT WHAT? SHE GOT TO BE A BOWLING BALL!?

..... was this how muggles did bowling then? OOOOOOOOH just wait til she told CALLUM about THIS!

Somehow she ended up standing next to that big boy, the Hufflepuff one. Char tapped him on the shoulder. "You can be my PUSHER okay?" Because basically since he was way bigger than her, he'd probably be really strong, which meant she'd go REALLY FAST and it would be so fun.

OH MY MERLIN MAYBE MOXLEY MIGHT LET HER BORROW A BALL AND THEN SHE COULD ROLL DOWN THE MOVING STAIRCASES AND IT WOULD BE MARVELOUS!!!!!

Aldous was familiar with bowling. His father used to take ladies out to bowl and he would tag along. And since he was a learner he gathered a lot of information most of it was theoretical but he did get to bowl many times. So he was all set for this. Or so he thought. The small alternation of the game was unexpected but it added so much fun to the actual game. He was pumped!v He quickly put a shirt on and was ready. Almost.

Now he only needed a partner.

Look a fellow older Ravenclaw needed a partner. He was certain he saw her around in the common room but never caught her name. The first-year cleared his throat as he approached the seventh-year. He needed to be his charming self when offering his partnership. "I can be your partner," Pause, "If you'd like, you don't have to."
