Jayden sauntered into the Conference Room. A new boss meant a new meeting. He took a seat at one of the tables. He set a notebook and pen on the table. He then casually sipped on his coffee and awaited the arrival of the others.

OOC: Sorry I'm starting this meeting SOOOO late guys! I started softball coaching this week and it's taken me a few days to get adjusted to the extra workload. Without further ado let's let the meeting begin!

Gabi walked into the conference room and saw that there was only ONE employee there. She raised her eyebrows. ONE? That was all she had gotten? Oh goodness. She was going to have to come up with some extra paperwork or something to remedy this.

"Hello--I was going to apologize for being late but I see I have only ONE employee with the decency to show up on time, so thank you," she said with a smile to the man in the room.

She set up her briefcase and then tapped her heel impatiently, waiting for others to show up.

Scarlet appeared in the Conference Room and quickly found a seat. Then she stared in stunned disbelief. There was only ONE other person besides her and the department head? She thought it was strange that she was the only one who was working on the Floo network like what was on the noticeboard, but now she was one of the only ones to attend the meeting as well?

Knocking some soot off her bare arms (She was in the Floo network just awhile ago), she turned to the Department head. "Is the meeting already over?"

Leo was late and he knew it. As he'd never EVER been late before, he hoped he would be forgiven, but they had a new department head, who was unaware of any attendance track records, and this was probably getting things off to a bad start. He hurried in with his briefcase and quickly found a seat, noting that he was obviously not the only late one, as there were only three people in the room besides him. "I'm so sorry that I'm late, it won't happen again," he apologized, pulling out a notebook and pen.

Leo rubbed his face unconsciously. He was so exhausted. The worst part was that he knew it would only get worse when the baby came. From here on out Leo was going to get practically no sleep at all.

The Ministry... he finally gets to be at the Ministry—officially this time!

Vickers steps off the elevator on the 6th level, its welcoming voice fading away the further he made his way into the office. This wasn’t the first time he was here, as his Uncle who once graced its carpeted hallways gave him a quick tour during one summer. Him and a certain ginger gal.... Goodness has it been that long?

He managed to find his way around, curiously turning his head at the announcement board on the wall on one side and the pantry at the other, his gaze running across the work area and the various rooms ahead of him. He could see people making their way towards a certain room and as he poked his head by the doorway he can see that there was a meeting about to begin.

Oh... didn’t his welcoming packet say something about a meeting?

He stepped through the doorway, a bit shyly but nowhere near half as nervous as his first day in Gringotts. He was starting to get a good grasp with this whole working-life bit thank Merlin.

“Goodmorning...” he greeted the woman at the center of the room, clearly she was the Department Head. He nodded his head politely at the other members of the staff, then remembered he was still wearing his coat. Quickly and quietly he shrugged it off and draped it across his arm, adjusting his nicely pressed suit just a bit before focusing his attention back towards the gathered.

Kyle was a little frazzled when she finally made it to the conference room - her hair was a little tousled and out of place. So the first thing she was doing as she entered the room was run a hand through the mess of hair.

"Hi-llo" oh yeah she did it. She'd just made that horrid conjunction on her first day. "S-sorry I got a bit lost...been a while since i've been anywhere but level two and that god-awful quarantine room" yeah just a few months ago she'd have been eating all the wood in here.

She felt her throat go dry at the thought.

She tried to take make herself as invisible as possible. She did not want to trip, slip, fall, or do any such thing. Least of all do anything in the least bit a telling sign of how much she was just another clumsy buffoon.

Oh, hey. Eliza was late. She was perfectly aware that she was. It was a shame, really if it haven't been for bad luck following her around that morning. Stopping at the door of the Conference Room, she smoothed her hair first and whilst she did so, the succession of unfortunate events came back to her - actually, she had been at their floor earlier on, an hour early for the meeting in fact so she decided to clean her desk first but in so process, accidentally hit the cup of tea she got for herself with her elbow. It spilled on her skirt, and due to surprise, she jumped on the spot resulting to a broken heel.

It was quite a start, really. But everything was okay now. She got herself cleaned up and had fixed her shoe. The only thing was that she wasn't sure if their Department Head was going to buy her reasons.

"Better find out for yourself." She whispered so that only she could hear.

Sighing, the brunette stepped inside and grimaced slightly upon seeing Ms. Schultz already there. Just as expected.. "Good morning, maa'm. I apologize for coming in late." Where were her reasons? Locked up. Because as soon as she spoke up, she felt that she was only going to make a fool of herself if she still presented the cause of her tardiness so...off to a seat it was.

Being late and especially on meetings was never a habit of Stephen but today had been odd, considering that this would be his first-- kind of tardiness-- what happened? He's not really sure of. Time was against him, that could be a possible reason however that was never good enough.

Making his way as fast as he could into the office of Level 6 and into the Magical Transportation area, Stephen walked hastily until he has reached the door of the Conference Room. He took the time to pause for awhile and fixed his hair and clothes before entering. He didn't want to look like a complete mess with the new boss.

When finally done, Stephen took a deep breath and opened the door to walk in. Of course it wasn't a surprise that people were already in their seats and so did his boss. That was an even worse view. Stephen's eyes wandered into the area and saw new people. New hired employees. Hooray for them.

Smiling, he walked over to one of the seats. "Sorry for being late" he said to everyone. Well, better late than never, right?

Late. Late. Late. So many people showing up LATE! What was wrong with them? If only she had the power to dock pay for being tardy--but she was pretty sure she couldn't do THAT. Not for being late at least. Anyways, back to business.

"Thank you for eventually making your way down here," Gabi said, straightening up and checking the present employees of the parchment roster she had in front of her. "Now, I just wanted to call a quick meeting to establish how I expect things to be run here."

"First things first, a little prediction from you--what do YOU think my expectations are?' she asked, smiling and crossing her arms with a smirk. Yes, let's see how smart these little fishes were...

Jayden watched as the employees gradually filed in. Some of them he'd know for years... other ones he didn't recognize at all. I guess that came with the territory of having been in the department for... what was it... 10 years now?

Wow.

... oh. Right. Meeting.

He leaned back in his seat. What did he think she expected? "Punctuality." he said with a little half smile. And Merlin's Beard did he hope his new boss had a sense of humor. Otherwise... ... this job was about to get significantly boring.

Kyleigh just cringed when she saw exactly how annoyed that her new Department Head was going to be with her about being late. She of course was thinking about punctuality - or so it would seem. As more than half of the room was late. She was proud that she was only just a little late and note extremely delayed.

"Assuming other than being to work on time - you would probably like us all to work together cohesively." She smiled over to Mrs. Shullz - what Kyleigh was just one of those always nice kinda people. So she'd be nice.

Vickers looked around with other people coming in in a rush after him. Ah his future co-workers? From his experience at Gringotts it was actually kinda fun meeting colleagues, and he was already trying to prep himself to be a bit more friendly and not recoil into his shell like his first instinct would be.

But the Department Head wasnt all too happy with what she's seeing and was starting to sound like she's about to launch into a reprimand. And suddenly he was reminded of his grandma, gosh. "Uhm... initiative to get things done?"

Scarlet drummed her fingers on the table and answered "I assume your expectations are many. Probably turning up in time is one of them." She paused, knowing that three fourths of the people here flunked that. "You should expect utterly thorough and efficent work. Which you shall get from me."

Gabi smiled. Good, they'd pretty much hit the nail on the head--as she had expected. "You're all right. Those are exactly my expectations. Of course, I knew you'd get that all right on the nose--if I didn't think you capable of doing so, you wouldn't be here right now," she explained. She'd already weeded out those fools who had no business being on her level. Regardless of the fact that these employees already knew what she expected, she turned and tapped the white board behind her, so that a list appeared on the board:

"Nothing too difficult, yes?" she said with a smile at all of them. "Now, again, the purpose of this very short meeting is that I simply want to make sure we're all on the same page. I know Armen ran a tight ship, and I intend to follow suit. However I'm not unreasonable--I know real life comes up. I know emergencies get in the way of work. That's why I ask that you communicate with me. Of course if it gets to the point of being ridiculous, I might be less accommodating, but we'll come to that if necessary," she paused to give them one of her looks--letting them know they BETTER not ever have to have that conversation.

"Also, part of your new roles is to always brainstorm and think of new ideas. Transportation has gotten into a bit of...well, a rut I suppose is the best word for it. It's been the same old thing year after year. I want you all to think of ways to improve our office and report to me once a month at least one new idea. I don't care if it's Fajita Fridays or a complex new idea for a new broom model, I just want to keep this office alive and up to date with the new times," she explained with a grin.

Oh, they were going to have fun with this one, she was sure of it!

"Any questions before I move on?" she asked.

And no, if they wanted Fajita Fridays she would NOT sponsor it. They'd pool galleons or something. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Kyleigh had to hold back a little laugh when she heard her new Department Head Mrs. Schultz saying transportation had gotten into a rut. Did that rut have a name and was it Recard? Yeah...right she had to keep those thoughts and comments down deep in her subconscious for a while - after all she had been working to find out who her father was when she heard about Recard and Emily...Creepard might have been a better fitting name. All being said she was glad that he wasn't her Department Head.

Though this idea of giving possible thoughts on how to update the office did sound rather fun. She had ideas of course - or at least she knew she would soon enough. Cookies in the break room? Something to make this place the center of attention in the world around their heads...ya know see? It'd work.

"Uh, just one question Mrs. Schulz - would you want us to whip up a suggestion box for updating the department? Or would we give ideas in person?" She asked rather calmly a quiet smile on her face. She hoped it was the suggestion box - well a part of her did because she wasn't the best at speaking in public even now.

Jayden read over the list on the board. Yeah. Those seemed easy enough. They also sounded like typical job requirements.

Oh wait. Monthly ideas. Jayden had ideas every once in awhile. He could meet the one idea a month quota. Probably. And he had done a lot of traveling. So, maybe it actually wouldn't be that bad.

Did he have any questions?

"Can we do Fajita Fridays?" Since she mentioned it he'd decided that he was hungry and that it sounded like a good idea.

Gabi smiled, a genuine smile, at Jayden and chuckled. "Well, I won't be the one financing the whole thing but if we'd like to do a pool of sorts, sure," she said.

"And a suggestion box sounds like a marvelous idea!" she said, again with a genuine smile, and waved her wand so that the idea was written on the white board. "I'll get that taken care of tonight. What i want you to do, each month, is get together as a division and submit ONE parchment with as many suggestions as you came up with per month. We will start this NEXT month to give you plenty of time to mull over things you want to see," she explained.

"Now, the final thing I want to point out is that, as you know, the Board of Governors for Hogwarts is currently holding their elections for new governors. If you are not already engaged in the voting process, I highly suggest you get involved. Any final questions?" she asked.

Jayden smiled a little. "Fair enough." he responded. Maybe they'd set up a potluck sort of system? That would be exciting. And, he hoped she understood that he took this rather seriously.

He nodded again. Meeting once a month with his division. Submit a list of ideas. There'd be a box. Easy enough.

Yup. And then the elections. Those did seem rather exciting. Not that he was the type to be invested in politics.

He shook his head. No further questions from him. He then looked around to see if anyone else had questions.

Gabi was NOT at all pleased by this situation. Not at all. She tapped her foot impatiently as she looked over the notes she had in front of her so she made sure she had her info correct for her employees. They were going to be coming in at any moment!

She had to remember to introduce the new employees before going into the bad news. Boy, what an interesting first day on the job they were going to have...

First day, and an emergency meeting? Cool!

Haley didn't let the word emergency hassle her at all, and therefore let herself walk into the conference room with a smile. Cheery is, as cheery does. She'd just sorted her hair after stepping out of the lift, brushing her fingers through it to work the tendrils out a little neater. This was okay, she looked okay.

No nerves, either. No nerves was good.

Oh, new jobs! New opportunities! New everything!

After entering the conference room, she was greeted by just one other in there. "Oh, hello!" Hales smiled at her, "no one else is here yet?" Well, at least she didn't have to worry about being late then.

Ah good, one of the new employees was the first one here! Talk about making a good first impression. Gabi nodded and shuffled her papers nervously to give her hands something to do.

"Yes, you're the first one," she said. "Gabriela Schultz, Department Head," she added as an afterthought as she looked through her files to identify this new lady. She was pretty sure she was her new lead broom...person, but she had to be sure.

GAH this day was making her FRAZZLED!

Department Head? Oh, boss lady! Huzzah for gender sames!

Haley nodded her head, her smile broadening. "Haley Pianheart. It's lovely to meet you!" If she'd have known the first person she'd encounter today would be her Department Head, then she might have brought an apple or something nice. Nice people finished first and all that.

"I'm sure they'll be along in just a moment," Haley was sure of that. They might have been new too, and getting Gabriela an apple or something along those lines.

Drat.

Keegan was truly excited for his first day, he got the memo about the emergency meeting and this really caught him off guard, had something happened at the ministry like the prophet had been talking about happened to Hogwarts? Only one way to find out, he quickly made his way into the conference room they were to meet in. He opened the door "hello, I'm Keegan Soles." He extended his hand to the woman he could only assume was the head of the department. He nodded his head at the second woman "Hello ma'am"

Emergency meeting... emergency meeting.

The twenty-six year old blonde walked as quickly as possible as she could in her way too tall heels towards the conference room, all while trying her best not to spill her coffee. Because that was important. She stood outside for a moment, smoothing out her hair and straightening out her blazer. First day back meant first impressions to many of the new people on Level Six which meant she needed to look presentable. Katrina took a quick sip of her coffee and entered the room with a bright smile.

"Hello, Miss Schultz," she greeted her department head first because, after all, the woman was in charge of how much Katrina would be getting paid. "And hello to you all." Or other two, 'you all' sounded better though. She took another sip of her coffee and slid into a seat. No use in standing in her heels and holding a coffee - she might end up spilling it and that was a giant no in her book.

Meeting and the first day of work, this should be fun. Stephen as usual went to work on time. He did a little fix up with his desk. Arranged the paper work and all the office stuff. Placed all of his things on the table, to get ready for work. He likes starting the day right and since it's the first day for work, he's making sure that he's not going to make his work desk all messy.

Stephen saw the department head and gave her a big smile. She's pretty as ever. "Good morning Miss Schultz. Hope you had a great weekend" because she looks like she's ready to juice the employees who won't show up for this meeting.... Still pretty though.

New employees... He gave a smile to the two new employees that came in. It's nice to see new faces once in awhile. And of course a familiar face as well, Miss Rayne. "Hello Miss Katrina" he smiled.
