Lainey lead her class down to the kitchens. This was NOT Lainey's favorite part of the castle. It was always full of busy bodied, nosy, creepy house elves. Always. They never ceased to freak her OUT.


But, she was sucking it up. She had young minds to mold. She had children to suit up. She had.... pots and pants to steal.



"Alright class, EVERYONE file IN. Don't mess with the house elves, heck if I were you I wouldn't even make direct eye contact." Most of the elves had scattered at the sight of her anyway. They KNEW how Lainey felt about them, treacherous little beasts.


"So pots make pretty good helmets for battle... use your imagination and EVERYONE SUIT UP! The more armor you have on, the less it's going to hurt when your classmates whack you. However, the more you have on, the harder it is to move. So, use that organ behind your eyes."


With that said, Lainey found a cookie sheet and examined it for ... possibilities.

Selena was confused as to why she was in here... Uhm... she supposed that her professor was putting on more kitchenware now. Selena giggled. Woot. Pots for helmets! She took a pot. Eh. Shiny. "Off to battle~" Selena giggled to herself. Selena smirked. This was ridiculous, what would her mother say? Hahaha. That was exactly why Selena was actually going to participate.

He was keeping his distance from her eyebrows as they filed into the kitchen. His jaw dropped at her declaration. They were going to battle each other! With armor? WHOA!!! A evil smile spread across his face.

Now this was what should happen when you walked into a kitchen. Epic, awe inspiring battles!! His eyes glazed over as he thought of all the wonderful things girls would say about him when they saw him in battle. Oh the odes they would write about him.

Diggy hopped on his feet bouncing with excitement. He grabbed a colander and placed it on his head. There he could still see and he was protecting his head. This was a good start.

Alex did what the Professor said surprised, putting on a pot feeling very foolish. Poor House Elves she thought little to know respect from people.

...well.

"I think I was close with the house elf thing," he murmured to himself, staring at the professor. Slowly, a grin crept onto his face. He was remembering one of the very first classes he'd had with her - they'd had costumes. Kingston had been there, too... and he'd dressed up rather strangely.

Without waiting for other students, Raiden started opening drawers and sifting through the contents.

The elves were not going to be pleased about the shambles their kitchen was about to be reduced to.

Kellen looked around the kitchen. Really? They... they were going to use cookware for armour? Well, that was... awesome. He opened one of the cupboards and knelt down, looking inside it. Hmm, oven mitts would definitely make good protection for his hands, and maybe he could poke holes in them so he could still move his fingers? And hmm, this muffin tray would be good protection for his back... if someone tried to whack him there -- because professor Lainey said there would be whacking -- whatever they were whacking him with might get stuck.

Trudging his way through the corridors, a slight smirk on his face as he entered the kitchen to see Lainey gearing up - or so it looked to him he stopped and crossed his arms listening to her speak about gearing up in the kitchen pots and pans, so they wouldn't get hurt when others... hit them? Oh that sounded interesting he thought.

No wait, this would be epic! More so than the Battle of Wolf 359 he mused as he grinned evilly, a gleam in his eye as he winked at Diggy as he moved to stand beside the other boy. Oh yes, a battle of tongs and spatulas against wooden spoons and other weird things.

Stretching his arms he nodded. Picking up a pot that looked like it was used for potatoes he plopped it onto his head and grinned, posing. Oh yeah.

Kitchens. Cool. He could already sense chaos. Would they throw flour at each other's faces or cook horrible dishes maybe? Either way, he had no choice but to attend the class. And well, he had always liked HoM and he had liked it more since it was Professor Lainey teaching this time. The epiiiiic Lainey! The coooolest professor!

And battle.. that was the word he wished he had never heard from Lainey. Now he was certain that they would engage themselves in a disastrous battle.

"Heello again, Professor Lainey!" He greeted her gleefully as he smiled broadly, although as apparent and luminous as sunlight, there was a hint that he was a teensy bit worried. He just hoped that no one would hit his... um... you know what.

Arya was skipping behind the professor all the way to the kitchens, the same grin on her face. Taking what the professor said about house elves as a joke, she waved at the nearest one (which wasn't that close), not noticing that they were all scattering.

Oh, they were gonna use kitchen pots as armor? And here she thought they were gonna cook again. This was much better than cooking! Getting more exciting, the young puff began her hunt for the perfect armor.

OOOH!

Gold could somewhat see where this was headed to, now. She grinned as she skipped into the kitchen and, of course, picked up a pot. Which she placed on her head, all snug and fit.

Then she opened a drawer, and began to siftttttt through the contents. She needed armour; armour, I tell you!

"Professor!" She waved a hand in the air, pretty suddenly. "Are we allowed to use charms, to make a pot fit the head properly, or stuff of that sort?" Charms that would not let ze pot fall off, all of a sudden. Or at least be a size that was not twenty times larger than one's head.

... and stuff and stuff of that sort.

Rawrr.

Diggy giggled at William with a pot on his head. He knocked on the side of it. "This is going to be epic!" he squealed. A professor was giving them permission to hit each other with spoons and tongs! And they could wear armor!!! He was so excited for this to start.

He found a broom and a table cloth. He tore the cloth in half and tied it to the end of his broom handle. Using his wand he drew the Greenwood coat of arms. His dad was Scottish after all. He transfigured his jeans out for the Greenwood traditional tartan. He held out his broom handle with his battle standard. "How do I look?" He asked William. Yes he was standing in the middle of the kitchen with a pot on his head in a kilt!!

He was going Braveheart alright!!!

Kitchen. Amour. Whacking. It sounded absolutely brilliant. Best. Class. EVER.

With a wide grin on his face, Sabel slid up beside Kellen and gave him a nudge to the ribs. "You may want to look out for these. Weak spots they are. Find them they will. Mmmm young Jedi."

His eyes skirted over the counter tops and across the cupboards, latching onto...a frying pan. Perfect! Without waiting for Kellen's response, he jumped over and scooped up the dishware, holding it up in front of him as if it were a magical weapon. "And I shall name you Excalibur and you shall be my sword and my sheild. In battle, together we shall thrive to bring peace and justice to this kingdom."

Selena was surprised to see so little people there... Eh. Slowpokes. However, she did see Alex. "Hey Alex!!" Selena smiled. She wasn't wearing her gear though!! WHY NOT? She felt as crazy as Lainey now. She turned and saw Diggy asking someone how he looked in a kilt. "Weird?" Selena offered him with a joking smile.

Alexandrie snorted seeing Selena again, "Hello Again, I have no idea how to suit up..I feel so foolish.." Alex wasn't the type to..play dress up after all. She eyed everyone getting ready feeling even more foolish.

Evelyn didn't know what to think!!

When the professor said they were off to battle, for a moment, she freaked out! But then as they continued walking to who knew where, she calmed down for a moment or so before freaking out again. It looked like they were headed down towards the dungeons.

Were they off to battle against Lafay?!

No, no. They were at the kitchens. The Professor said something about suiting up so it didn't hurt when they whacked each other. Like someone would dare whack her. They better not. However, she moved away from everyone else and went to grab a frying pan, small pot, and was supposedly called a small pizza pan...those things... yea two of those.

However, she didn't put any of it on, opting to just wait this out and see where this was going. Really. They weren't going to hit each other with this stuff were they? Maybe it was a food fight...

That was a cake-pan, wasn't it?

Gold chuckled to herself, as she grabbed it. It's handles were sort of short, as they could be expected to be, but that was fine. She could still cling on to it, and wave it around all scary-like, if she wanted to.

AND it would make a nice 'weapon.'

"With thy help, I shall conquer the world," she told the cake-pan. Wait, the cake-pan needed a name. "You could have been Mrs. Sommerfield II, after the fat, green lizard I named in Defense class but, since that sounds sort of funny, we shall call you Dragnipur, the GREATTTT --- cake-pan?"

Bwaha. BWAHA!

"C'mon, It'll be fun!" Selena giggled. "Here," Selena said as she put a large mixing bowl on Alex's head. "Think about whacking all those people who call you a pyromaniac," Selena said as she gave her a frying pan and a cookie sheet. Hehehe.

Alex eyed the first year wearily, How did the girl have so much energy..but she admitted whacking Flores and that Ravenclaw Girl did seem tempting. She sighed taking the frying pan and cookie sheet looking at them helplessly, "What am I supposed to do with these? she asked confused

Carter entered the kitchens with Marie. Nope, nothing scary down here. Which meant that he and Marie probably shouldn't be holding hands anymore. But at least they were able to the whole way down. And that was something.

What? They were supposed to dress in pots? For a battle? With a shrug he grabbed a nearby pot and placed it on his head. "What do you think?" he asked Marie. Hopefully he didn't look bad with a pot for a hat. He then grabbed a nearby lid. He could use that as a shield.

Destiny was not amused.

Not about the EPIC battle that was about to take place, but because she was pulled into the kitchens by Marie and Carter. Did the really have to hold hands? It was gross, and Destiny was going to speak to Lawson about that.

Spotting Evelyn, Destiny made her way over to her. Being bound to Marie was stressful and she would TOTALLY have rather been bound to Evelyn than Marie.

At least Evelyn didn't hold hands with boys. Finding a pot, she placed it on her head, testing to make sure it was the right fit. Good thing she didn't have a big head! Now that her head was going to be protected, she was going to need a shield. Opting for the pot lid, she help it in her hand shifting it this way and that way, getting a good feel of it.

"Hey Evelyn. We should totally bang heads to see if our pot helmets will protect us."

And then..Destiny was going to clobber Marie.

BATTLE?!?!?!?! AWESOME!!

Ellie ran around looking for various kitchen appliances to gear up in.... Wooohooo!

Mina was a bit confused to say the least, but she did was she was told. Who was she to really question Professor Lainey. History of Magic was kind of one of her favourite subjects and she was sure that they were there for a reason. Well at least she hoped there was a good reason for it.

Finding her way to an opened drawer, she started to rummage through it. There was bound to be something there for her to use. Nothing all that heavy, but would still protect her. She didn't need to be weighted down, but she still needed something that would shield what she needed to be protected.

A bowl? No, too small. A pan?, No too square for her. Rummaging through another drawer, she sorted through more options. There had to be something in there for her to use.

"Well, you now have a shield of some sort... maybe we can transfigure it to strap onto your arm..." Selena said. She didn't know the spell though..

Neither did Alex..but did the Professor? "Professor what's the spell to strap something onto a person or conjure a strap or transfigure." She asked raising her hand.

William laughed as Diggy suited up, glee in his eyes as he moved about. "You look great!" he replied smirking. Doing the same he looked for a blue towel, there had to be one around here somewhere right? Ah there it was! Picking it up he tied it around his neck, moving it so that the back was to front almost like a tunic and looked down at himself. He looked like he was wearing a blue uniform just like Spock. Whoever he was.

Dashing towards a set of tongs he held them in his right hand as he picked up a cookie board. Nice shield. "Look I'm Spock!" he giggled, loving everything he was doing right now. He wondered if Diggy knew what Star Trek was but didn't care as he held out his tongs and went "pew pew pew!" like a laser. Now all he needed was something else; ah there it was a pair of wooden spoons! Picking up the medium sized one he grinned. "Now I'm set." he grinned again.
