There have always been many things and many people that protect the Wizarding World against thing evils that threaten it. There are the aurors at the Ministry, the demeantors of Azkaban, and even the Defense Against the Dark Arts professors of Hogwarts and other schools like it. For a long time this has all been enough to protect everyone, but that is no longer the case.
In the past only harmful people have ever threatened the Wizarding World. Now things seem to be happening that people can't explain. Supernatural forces are now harming the wizarding world. These supernatural forces are better known as Demons.
The Minister of Magic has now decided that they need help from another Race of people that are experts in defending against demons. That race is called the Nephilim, or better known as Shadow Hunters. Long, long ago, the blood of an angel was mixed with the blood of man to create this race of protectors. They all have been trained from a young age to have great strength, speed, and strategy to protect the world against demons.
The Minister has decided that young witches and wizards should be training with the shadow hunters. Both Races can work together using both their physical strengths and their magic. The Best witches and wizards from all of the magical school will be sent to the London Institute to live and work the the shadow hunters. Will friendships and relationships form or be torn apart? You Decide.
Okay so this is an RP that I tried to get going a while back and am starting again. It combines both the worlds of Harry Potter and the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. You can be a witch/wizard or a shadow hunter. All Characters are madeups. If you want to play the decendents of certain characters thats fine but there shouldn't be any Harry Potters, Jace Wayland/Herondale/Lightwoods, or Clary Frays.
Also if you would like to play a downworlder (vampire, warlock, fairie, or werewolf) that is all good I just ask that you are also a shadowhunter or a wizard because the other races won't be in the RP the whole time.

Lissa was born and raised in Russia. Her father is Russian and her mother is English. She speaks both languages fluently and only has a hint of an accent. While she takes pride in her heritage, she loves spending the year in England.
Lissa always excelled in school. She was very smart and one of the professor's favorites. She was chosen to be Gryffindor Prefect during her fifth year and then Head Girl her seventh year. While she does take pride in her books and studies, she is not the most athletic of students. For this reason she is worried about being chosen to train with the shadow hunters. She knows that she has the brains and the skills with magic to go far, but the physical part, well she's a bit fragile.
Lissa has never had any problem making friends. She doesn't really get angry often, but when she does she gets very angry. It takes a lot to push her over the edge. One thing that does it quite easily is someone with a large ego. There is never any reason for anyone to show off, about anything. She definitely prefers humble people.

Adam is fits perfectly into the mold of Herondale boys. From those that knew his grandfather, Jace, they all say that the two are just alike. Adam never got to meet his grandfather, which some say is a blessing and some say is a shame. One warlock inparticular has also said that he is just like his great great great ect... grandfather, Will. Adam personally doesn't like to be compared to anyone, he thinks of himself as an origional.
Adam is an extremely good Shadow Hunter. He is said to be the best for his age, and better than a lot that are older than him. He has been training since he was a small child and has killed thousands of demons. This all being said, his accomplishments definitely go to his head. He is the best and he knows it. He is also going to make sure that you and everyone around you know it as well. He is known to have a scarcastic sense of humor and well lets face it, most consider him to be a pain. There are times when he gets serious however, and that is when it comes to his sister. He looks out for her and is a very good big brother. True, they drive each other crazy, but he loves her very much. When it comes to everyone else, Adam puts up a lot of walls. He hides behind his ego so that none see whats inside.

Faye is also a very good Shadow Hunter. She is the best among the girls, and not too far behind Adam. She likes to think that the only reason that she is not better than him is because he trained her. Although, she does hope to surpass the teacher. When fighting demons Faye carries with her, along with her stele, a whip that was passed down to her by her grandparents friend Izabel Lightwood. Yes it has age to it, but it still works as if brand new.
Faye does not put up walls like her brother does. What you see is what you get. She can be a bit arrogant and does have an attitude most of the time but hey thats all part of her charm.

Freyja's parents were both Shadow Hunters before her. They met while fighting demons - the first contact they had was when Katrina helped Hyo cut off a werewolf's head. Within weeks they were dating, but put off marriage until they were both 30 years old. Freyja came soon after they were married, followed 2 years later by Hana. Freyja never really wanted to be a Shadow Hunter. Her father was strict on his ideas of pride, and according to his beliefs fighting for this cause was the highest honour there was. Freyja never really saw that. In fact, it wasn't until something truly devastating happened to her family that she became committed to fighting demons.
Because everything the world could throw
Freyja was 8 years old when the tragedy struck her family. Taking a casual walk in woodland one afternoon while on holiday in the mountains, Katrina and 6-year-old Hana were attacked by warlock called Hekili, whose demon father Hyo and Katrina had killed only a month before. Katrina was murdered immediately trying to protect her young daughter, but Hekili held Hana hostage for months, torturing her before finally killing her and leading her father to her body, managing to get away even then. Freyja was devastated by the loss of her little sister and mother, and threw herself into training, determined not to let anyone else she loved die like they did - at the hands of the enemy.

Hekili grew up always knowing he was different, even to other witches and wizards. He grew up in a mostly wizard populated village in Japan. When he was eleven years old, he killed his mother Hotaru with a bread knife and ran away to train as a wizard with his father Jareth and a Dark wizard called Magmas. With them he learnt how to control his magical and demonic powers to such a level that he could use both simultaneously, making him doubly powerful.

When Hekili completed his magical education with Magmas, he killed his mentor, on his father's orders. Jareth and Hekili worked as a team, taking down many powerful Shadow Hunters until they became the most feared demon/warlock team in Asia. Many legends sprung up about them, some invented by the two themselves to spread fear. The most popular one, was that they pulled out a canine tooth from each of their victims' mouths and made grotesque bracelets from them. Maybe this is the most popular legend because it is true.

Hekili was 20 years old when his father was killed by the Shadow Hunters Hyo and Karina Ryu. Filled with rage, Hekili travelled to the Ryus home country, America, and murdered Katrina and her young daughter Hana. He made a vow to wipe out Hyo Ryu's entire family, the thing that would hurt him the most, and so is now aiming for Freyja Ryu, although she has no idea of this. He has spent the past nine years searching for her, training for her death by continuing his infamous killing spree in America.

Hekili is cold, cunning and completely ruthless. His sole aim in life is to kill, especially Freyja Ryu, and to take down as many Shadow Hunters as possible. Nothing much more can be said of his personality than that..

Bio: Romero was always a flamboyant kind of guy. He was gay and he loved to show it, that is just who he is. In his years of training he was teased for his nature. However it turned out that he was quite the natural at being a shadow hunter however even when his fellow demons started to praise him, he was still critical of them. He likes to find the true nature of people as well as do his job. The biggest lesson he was taught is to look at the human and judge whether he will make a good difference in the world before you kill. Most of the time this does not apply and over the years Romero has grown rather cold blooded while still being himself through and through. But he still looks out for the posiblility that someone may not be right to die over all else.

It was then when her rebel teenage side came out through peer pressure. She was dared to enter Forbidden Forrest and spend the night for 10 galleons. She thought she was more then capable. She was dead wrong. It just so happened a werewolf was lurking in the forrest that night along with many other less dangerous creatures. She had been hiking in the forrest with her wand out and a waning lumos spell wjen she cut her self on tree branch. The smell of blood was all the beast needed to track. She screamed as the werewolf pounced on her and scratched her body leaving deep gashes in her sides and one face. Using her Ravenclaw wits she managed to subdue the beast but not before it had bitten her in on her left hip. She did her best with spells she knew to stop the bleeding and then hobbled back to the castle to the hospital wing. When she got to the hopital wing and her healer and HOH saw her, disapointment could not even begin to describe the look on her face. She confessed everything but the side effects of that fateful night will harm her for the rest of her life. The permanant scars had the whole school looking at her like she was some kind of freak and the monthly change certainly did not help any. (Being looked in a room tied with magical bonds to a chair, Oh why was wolfsbane illegal to serve to a minor) Still she held hope. She snuck into the back of the library to the restricted and found s spell that would supposedly show her true form, the girl who lies underneath. She thought that meant her scars. She did the spell and ended up earning herself permanant wolf ears and a tail even when she was not in full wolf form. She tried to get help from her professors but they tried and nothing could reverse the dark spell she had applied to herself. The teasing just got worse and worse and she ended up leaving Hogwarts by the end of her 5th year. She ran off into the forbidden forrest in the dead of night and found the werewolf who had mauled her. She pounced in him even though she was quite a bit smaller then him. As soon as he realized what was goin on he grabbed the little pest and pinned it to the ground. When he realized who it was, he was shocked. He was ready to finish the job he started when he saw the ears, the tail, and the pain and anguish on her face. He could remember his experiences when he was first turned. He gave her the option to join him and the rest of his pack or be killed. She chose the former and has been an underworlder living amongst wolves ever since ever since.

Family Background: Born to born and bread brittish parents, Drew was born in America while his mother was over for a lecture. Felicity Hanna is a known teacher and philosopher in the wizarding world and her biggest concern was to create a safe and loving environment for her family. Going agaisnt her very pureblood family, she married a muggle man and has not yet regreted that choice. Phillip Hanna is that very calm, relaxed and happy man who tried not to freak out when the love of his life told him she was a witch.

Personality: Drew tends to feel like the black sheep in his family, having broken a long tradition on his mother's side of the family by being assigned to Gryffindor, instead as the usual Ravenclaw.

About Him/Her~
Personality: Edith is a level-headed, observant, methodical individual. Due to how she was raised she has come to rely on her instincts and her senses. She exudes power and sophistication and also wields it without pause or conscious thought. True to her heritage she has a strong sense of self control though even she has her limits. When pushed her ire knows no bounds and is swift and fierce. Edith does have a softer side, one of which few have ever witnessed. She has a great capacity for love and tenderness.
She does have a sense of humor and loves to laugh. Her friends and family mean more to her then anything in the world. To those she considers her friends; she is honest and trustworthy and exhibits a sense of humor. To her acquaintances, she is tolerant and patient and very forgiving. History: Edith comes from one of the oldest families in Shadow Hunter history. The Rivermark family isn’t known for their hunting however, they are accredited for making some of the most formidable weapons in the Shadow Hunter community. Edith’s father had pushed her since she was small to become a weapon smith and until she turned 12 that’s what she did.
On her 12th birthday she was allowed to deliver an order of weapons to the London Institute. While on her way their Edith came across her fellow Shadow Hunters in a battle for their lives against a very old demon. It was apparent from the first glance that they were outmatched and didn’t have a chance. Acting on instinct Edith seized two of the short swords and ran to help.
She was the only survivor of that fight and was accredited with slaying the demon. The Clave couldn’t afford to let such an able fighter go to waste so they relocated her to the New York Institute where she has been training and destroying demons ever since.

Lissa leaned against the end of the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall, tapping her foot, with her clipboard in hand. She had just graduated from Hogwarts the day before. Instead of going home for the summer, a select few of the seventh years had been asked to one last night only to leave the next day for the London Institute. It was almost time to leave and so far Lissa was the only one in the Great Hall. She looked down at the list of chosen students that were meant to be there. Where was everyone. Where was Wayde? He was head boy and he wasn't even there. Sure they were graduated so technically they weren't Head Boy and Head Girl anymore, but still....
Adam opened the doors to the parlor of the London Institute. He had only recently arrived from the New York Institute with his sister and gotten his few things that he had brought settled in his room. Sure there were shadowhunters lurking all of the place, but soon the others would be arriving too. Adam was not excited at all about having a new race staying with them. And they were witches and wizards. Sure they weren't half demon like the downworlds but they didn't have a right the be training with the shadow hunters. If you asked him, whoever had thought up this bright idea was a complete idiot.
He made his way over to one of the arm chairs and laziy sat down throwing a leg over one of the arms. You could tell just by his stance that they boy was trouble. Not as in bad, but just someone with a huge ego that didn't really give a care. Why did the witches and wizards need to come here anyways, the Nephilim could take care of things by themself.
Faye put up her training gear and walked into one of the corridors of the Institute. She missed New York, that was for sure, but London wasn't as bad as she had expected. She made her way to the room that had been deemed hers to put away her whip, that had once belonged to Isabel Lightwood, safelty away after taining. After changing clothes (still keeping her ususal color pallate of black and adding a hint of bugundy) she placed her stele in her pocket and set out to find Adam.
It didn't take her long to find him laying across a chair in the parlor. She rooled her eyes and hit him on the head as she walked in. "Come on brother, don't you at least want to look intimidating for our new guests?" She asked him standing behind his chair. The truth was Adam always looked intimidating, they both did. There was just a certain way about them, their dark features and firery attitutes that always seemed to shine through. The siblings where definitely something to be recogned with and one could tell that no matting what they were wearing or where they were.
Romero woke up in his dorm at the London institute a little late as usual. He in his vest whichshowed his chest and his skinny black dkny Jeans. For a demon, anyone would find him odd. But he had proven himself to be a great shadow hunter. Still he does not care for that sort recognition. He wants acceptance for he is but he barely ever finds it. Nevertheless today was a new day and he chooses tk be his happy go lucky self. He knew that soon wizards were gonna be coming, everyone told him to try not to be too much himself. Yeah Right!!!. He put on his fake eyebrows on and strutted out his room into the hall where he saw Adam and he looked upset. He approuched him and asked, ”Are you alright”.
Yagami recieved her letter about training along side shadow hunters and danced a crazy little dance of joy. The school geek had made it into the most exclusive institute in the world that had just opened their doors to her kind and today was the day for departure. She was beaming as she skipped the great hall. There she saw Lissa, the girl who beat her out by a hair for head girl. She glared at her, she was smart but Yagi was hoping to get away from Lissa. This was just peachy. She took a seat away from Lissa knowing she may do some thing that she would regret if she had not.
Wayde hadn't gotten a whole lot of sleep last night. Instead of try to keep sleeping Wayde had decided to get up and go running. He had spent the last seven years of his life running around these grounds and this morning they seemed different somehow. It wasn't just that they were deserted, it was the feel of the place that had changed. Completing his final circuit Wayde checked his watch and sighed. Turning on the spot he apparated into his common room. He jumped into the shower and then threw on his clothes. Grabbing his bag Wayde made his way down into the Great Hall where Lissa was already waiting on them. He smiled at her. "Morning Lissa."
Beep! Beep! Beep! Aidan reached over and slapped his alarm clock into submission. Grumbling he rolled over and read the time clock. "Merlin's Beard!" Jumping out of bed the Hufflepuff, wait....no. Graduated HufflePuff! He paused smiling but then went right back to throwing clothes on. Grabbing his bag he tore through the hallways and skidded into the Great Hall. "I'm here!"
Edith closed the book she was reading and placed it on the pile at her feet. There were still two books on the table that she had yet to read. A glance at the clock on the wall told her that it was time she got herself into the parlor. Grabbing one of the books that was left she tucked it under her arm and walked out of the library.
Sleep had been hard to come by so instead of tossing and turning she had decided to go and read. She had gone through several combat books that weren't available in the New York Institute where she had been training until a couple of days ago. The title she held was another technique that can be used with a bow. Since that was usually her weapon of choice she was going to soak up everything in the book.
Edith glanced down at her attire and shrugged. She had thrown on her favorite pair of jeans which were dark washed and really comfortable. The Institute here seemed to be kept incredibly cold all the time so she had put on a thermal long sleeve shirt with holes for her thumbs and her black Toms completed her homey ensemble. Edith wasn't worried about making an impression with her clothes.
Most people took one look at her slight size and then wrote her off. What they failed to see was the tightly packed muscles she carried on her slight frame and the look of fire in her eyes. She may be small but she was not to be messed with. Edith pushed through the door and into the parlor not at all surprised that the siblings were here. She gave them both a smile. "Morning."

Edith glanced up as Romero came into the room. He glanced at Adam and asked if he was alright but there was no response. She still didn't understand why he tried. Adam was renowned for not letting anyone in and they had all only been transferred here a day or two ago. He walked over to her and she grinned at him.
"I'm good. You?"
Aidan looked around and thanked Merlin that he wasn't too late. He grinned at Wayde and Lissa taking a seat across the table from them. He wasn't sure yet how they would be traveling so he decided not to ask about food. Apparition wasn't quite kosher with a full stomach at least for him it wasn't.
At that moment he looked up and Yagi walked into the room. He of course had no idea how many of them or who exactly was coming along on this endeavor so he took her appearance in stride. She however blew up complete when she saw him. He grinned at her and shrugged. Yeah he wasn't the best guy in the world but there were worse.

FreyjaRyu had been up for hours, training with her father. Hyo was always tough on his daughter's training, and part of it included getting up at 4 am. Freyja walked into the parlour after having a quick shower and changing into fresh non-sweaty clothes, her katana in its sheath swinging from her belt. "I'm exhausted!" she said, collapsing into the sofa, her legs over one of the arms. "Dad had me running laps again, he told me my endurance is incredibly lacking." She privately thought this was unfair, since she could run further than any of the rest. Maybe Freyja wasn't the fastest, but she could go on longer. "My father is insane," she grumbled, playing with the fang amulet around her neck. "Completely insane. Like me!" She grinned at the others. "So, how was your respective mornings?"
Edith glanced up as Romero came into the room. He glanced at Adam and asked if he was alright but there was no response. She still didn't understand why he tried. I am feeling good today Edith. So, the wizards will be coming soon. I quite like the like the idea. It is about time wizards get to learn a bit more to help themselves. However I have no doubt that we will always be the best. So what do you think Edith?”, Romero ended with grin. Then Romero noticed Freyja enter the room and wipe out on the sofa, again. He turned to her and said, ”Oh honey, why do you keep letting your dad keep you in his nutty training regiment. You are the best here by a mile, I am seccond of course. And I know you are crazy like your dad but you don't need to become manic like him. He thinks too fast because he is always moving too fast. You're judgement is as sharp as a tack, but you need to relax sometimes, especially in morning. I work out too, usually 3 hours a day to keep my figure and be at my best, however I do it in the afternoon after classes. I personally need my beauty sleep. The circles under you're eyes tell me you need to sleep more as well. And my morning has been nice, woke up in my own time and I feel great.”.

Freyja laughed, not at Romero but because what he was saying was so typical of him. "Ro, you know I'm fine. I wouldn't feel right if I didn't push myself to the limit every morning. But thank you for your concern. Do I really have circles under my eyes?" She touched the skin under her right eye, which was indeed dark purple. "I guess that's what concealer is for, right?" She glanced at the others, at Edith with her book, Faye dressed in black (would it kill that girl to add a bit of colour already?) and then Adam. She looked away quickly from him.
"So," she said, trying to move the conversation away from her overly difficult training schedule. "What about this thing with the new trainees? Do you honestly believe they're magical or whatever?" She was talking to the room as a whole.
