Lily Evans didn't know what she had gotten herself into when she agreed to stay with James Potter over the summer break. Her parents were making arrangements for Petunia Evans, and Vernon Dursley’s wedding. Lily wasn't a fan of Vernon Dursley or his family, and she wasn’t a fan of the arrangements that Petunia had helped to make. Petunia, had of course found her Diary, which she had written, “I hate James Potter” on the first page, and so to tick Lily off, she purposefully made her stay with him. How will her summer escapades and rampant mischievousness change her life, and how will they effect her feelings for a certain, James Potter.
NOTE: ONLY FIRST POST IS FROM THE SUMMER, IT STARTS IN THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.

Plot Information:

In the beginning Lily isn't fond of James Potter or his actions, but in the end she warms to him, and eventually the school year begins. This begins in the tail-end of the summer, but the first post is a basic motticum of emotions that Lily felt in the beginning of the summer before her new experience evolved into a whole new destiny. A Destiny that included a certain James Potter, as her new-found-love in her last and final seventh year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Please when you join, do not ask for a character if you do not intend to stay in the RP for more that one or two posts, and if you so choose to join please inform people when you must leave. It will be most helpful.

Also, please use full sentences in this RP for example when your character laughs say laughed don't speak outloud saying LOL. This RP takes place before text speak was invented.

Dear Diary,
Petunia has made me stay over-summer with the Potters, how weird is that? She got a hold of my Diary that I forgot at home over the school year and in it, the first words were "I HATE JAMES POTTER". I feel really bad about it now, because I know I don't Hate James anymore, he was so oddeningly kind to me over the past month. We've only got three more weeks of summer break left, and I wonder what will happen between us considering my change-of-heart and his so clear obsession with being around me and wanting to well, date me.

PS. I think I might possibly like him.

Lily read the note she had written the week before and smiled, today some of her friends were showing up and they were attempting to help her through the end of the month and the end of the summer break. She really loved the Potter's home it was such a beautiful building with a magical inside-litterally, the inside was enchanted so its expanse was much larger than that it looked like it would be from the outside. It looked quaint from the outside, and on the inside it was quaint, but still oh-so-lavish.

Lily walked out of her room in the Potter's home putting her Diary on the end of her bed and locking it quickly. She walked down the stairs and out the back kitchen-door of the house. Where a small crystal-clear pond was visible there were no creatures like Giant Squids or Grindylows in the water here it was so beautifuly an Azure water. She walked to the waters edge and looked at all the small fish swimming around, she loved watching the water as much as she loved dazing off into fire-places.

She heard a slight hoot and looked up seeing a tawny owl with a letter about its leg. Taking the letter and opening it, she realized it was the Hogwarts leters.

Reading the letter she almost screamed. "I'VE GOT HEAD!" She yelled out in shock, she was head girl for her year. Head Girl! She wondered who Head Boy would be and assumed James would not be him, if it was James she would probably feint or blink at him repetatively saying "thats impossible!" Because it really was impossible.

She smiled and heard the door bell ring, walking to the door and opening it she smiled welcoming all the visitors into the home, it wasn't like James's parents would mind. They were constantly off on buisness, which made it possible for them to--well, have many moments alone in their large home. One morning, she had woken and found him gazing at her, and as she stood up, he walked over and planted a kiss on her lips. That was the day she realized she had feelings for him. The day she realized she actually was quite fond of James Potter.

Severus felt his heart sink as he heard Cat say Lily and James may be dating. He knew they were getting closer but he could not believe Lily would sink so low to date that creep.". "Uh, yeah, I would not want to be anywhere near them to gether. either.". Possibly near James though to beat the living day lights out of him He could feel his breathing heavy. He wanted to do way worse then make James ill. He punched down hard on the table in frustration and calmed down a bit. The reality of the situation was that if Lily chose to date James there was nothing he could do about it. If he tried to hurt James Lily would be hurt too. He hated his life.

"Severus, I know." Cat spoke her words small in comparison to the weight of the subject, "I'm here for you Austin and I both are." Cat smiled her smile more one of complete understanding and meant to be consoling more than anything else. There was no flake of dark hatered in her eyes right now just honest appologetic friendship.

"And Sev - do you mind if I call you that?" She didn't stop talking for an answer thoguh, she just kept going knowing it was what he needed to hear. "You know no matter what happens with her you can always work it out in due time." Cat's eyes ironically compasionate at that moment looked away from her friend.

"I don't want you to be hurt alright, if they do date it probably won't last. Its James Potter and Lily Evans - she is after all much smarter than him - and she's the only gryffindor I can stand for more than three seconds."

While Gin spoke up in disbelief of James' plan, Sirius was giving his best friend the evil glare while trying to decide if he was crazy for his attempt to force his hand with the girl. Like he really wanted his first chance to kiss to be part of a prank. Then he had to pull the horrible pun out to wrap it all up causing him to roll his eyes thankfully all as he stood facing away from Kensington so she hopefully couldn't see.

The animangus turned as they were further joined back by a few more of the group, hoping perhaps Lily or another would talk some sense. Only to have his hopes dashed as Lucien started to say something suspecious causing Ginerva to cover her brother's mouth all of a sudden. "Yeah I heard it...James' idea for the prank I mean" he finally replied hesitantly looking at Gin as she came up beside him, his hand brushing through his hair. "Not sure it would work" he said at first not sure how to comment on it. "...and James and Lily would only make Snivelous nuts."

Gin noticed that Sirius immediately brushed his hand through his hair and thought nothing of it. With a laugh she commented, "Er, I think you do have a good point there Black" Gin looked up at him some of her hair falling down infront of her face as she looked up. She didn't mind. "And seeing as he just walked into the great hall when were talking" Gin pointed to the obvious mess of greasy black hair just visible through the doors to the great hall. "It might be a good way of showing him look Lily and James are together or something of that matter."

With a laugh she brushed most of the hair out of her line of vision so she could simply gage his response to her next awkwardly outlandish comment. "And don't worry Sirius I'd never make you do anything you didn't already want to do." She was simply trying to be nice, she wasn't trying to imply she'd like to kiss him but the timing of the statment made it ever so clear that she just might want to.

When the timing issue finally flagged in her mind - it was already too late her cheeks flushed afterwards. A sure sign.

Alex had been laying upstairs in his dorms. He thought the common room would've have been a bad place to stay with what was going on. He let out a sigh and folded his arms up under his head. He couldn't believe this was happening.

Sirius's head turned quickly at her point, noticing the familiar form or his adversary across the Great Hall and smirking at the thought of pranking him into the next decade. He of all the Slytherins got his attention over the years...except perhaps Lucius...he had been a joy to prank. His long blonde hair fun to mess with a much as the grease ball's limp black locks.

"Now I didn't say that," he said before his head caught on to what his mouth was actually speaking out loud. Smooth move there Black, he berated himself now looking back at Gin absently swallowing as tried to think. Now how to rectify that response hmm...no playful answer...no smooth reaction. What's happening to the playboy, Sirius Black? "Not like you could make me do anything Kensington."

Lucien slowly climbed the stairs into the dormitory he shared with Alex - for their sake, and luck they didn't live in the same room as James, Sirius, Remus, or Peter - just two unlucky underclassmen who really never seemed to care what the two of them did.

Lucien saw Alex lying on his bed. "Alex," he said as he walked in. "Its not going to last she's just experimenting and you know it. If you need help I'll try and help fix you up with Mary or Maylin and well make Evans jealous."

"Right of course not - I couldn't make you nearly fall off your broom in the final game last year." Gin retorted, putting her hand on her hip, a smirk playing at her face.

She had of course, caught the sentence he was trying to cover up, "So what thing was it you didn't mind doing then?" She asked, her eyes flashing playfully. Oh she was messing with him - but it was more for fun than anything else. She had no idea what Remus and Peter had told him earlier today - if she had she'd probably be standing there like a statue doing one word answers that dug her into a deeper hole of him knowing the utter truth about her.

That she absolutely had fallen for him and his playboy ways.

"Obvious that they like each other? Yeah it is. They should just get together already." James said, hugging Lily tight. "Want to help me matchmake them?" He asked.

James yawned. He had had a late night the previous night and was tired. "Whats the time?" He asked.

He let Lily go for a moment, stretching his arms in another yawn. He needed some caffeine. Maybe he'd sneak into the kitchens for something. Chocolate or coffee maybe.

Lily looked over to James and sighed, rolling her eyes she added a quick consice comment. "James it'll happen in due time - and I think for your plan to work it might be better if you and I try and do the distracting seening as for seven years we hardly could be in a room together without having a row." Lily exclaimed with a chuckle, she noticed the tired expression on his face and summoned a potion she had developed and was planning to produce and sell once out of Hogwarts - it was basically the ultimate caffine drink still all it did was boost your energy the natural way with protien and enzymes - like gatorade but smaller doses and less sugared.

She handed James the Silver bubbling vial, and chuckled, "it doesn't have a name yet, but I tried it already it makes it so your body revitalizes itself." She smiled.

James took the vial almost cautiously. Sniffing it and seeing it smelt good he swallowed. Within seconds the look of tiredness on his face was gone and he felt like he had been in a coma and had just woken up.

"Woah! That seriously worked fast! Brilliant job Lily!" he gave her a small kiss, feeling more awake than he had all day. He felt like singing...

Standing up, he suddenly started pretending to play the guitar, making guitar sounds with his mouth. "Nah na na na na na naaaaa!" James sung badly. "We are all in this together!" Maybe, just maybe the potion gave him too much energy.

Calming down slightly, he stopped though his movements were fast and he felt like he could run 12 laps of the Quidditch Pitch. Eyes full of energy he grinned at Lily. "We shall distract Snape and Cat, but someone's still going to have to perform te charm that goes with the potion." He said.

MJ headed towards her friends when she started yawning she smiled and waved goodbye and decided she was going to go and walk. Today she was not in the mood to face Severus and she went to Peter. "Night Peter, please be careful and don't get into too much trouble losing points this early in the year will most defeneatly get McGonagal crazy." she told him with a smile and gave him a hug. With that she turned towards Remus. "Keep them from killing someone please Remus." and with another hug she was off. She saw Lily but did not bother in giving her a hug. James would surely cover that and she did not want to push James out of the way. "Lily see you later bye bye." with those words she was off

Mary looked at her friends and crossed her arms and went towards Remus. "That girl will be the death of me" she said while shaking her head. "So what is the plan? I see James and Lily talking but nothing is happening.

"I mean, Lily and James yeah dating and all - but Gin and Sirius are standing there like they just saw a ghost - and well...frankly they probably will see Peeves soon if they don't hurry it up!"

"Well, I know Severus takes a long time eating trust me. Worst eleventh birthday party ever - him and my sister didn't get along and he took two hours to finish a slice of cake - or thats how it felt really." Lily blushed as she was rambling. "Anyways, James lets let those two finish their conversation - and well, we can do the distracting and ask er Mary or Remus to cast the charm."

Sirius narrowed his eyes just a little as Ginerva called out his remark. "Lucky moment that was," he remarked unconsciously mirroring her smirk a little softening the expression that had previously graced his features. Kissing you...on the lips...in the Room of Requirement away from the rest his thoughts flashed in his head but his retraint caught on before his mouth could get the words out.

"Pranking of course," he answered suavely which wasn't too far off the mark but not the truth in this moment in time. but his companion surely didn't need to know that. "Come on...lets see where Prongs and LIly are on the other portion of the plan," he added turning and walking casually towards the other two in an attempt switch to a safer topic for now.

Also sweets are out of the list her brother sent me a letter telling me that the doctor had told her no more sweet she has some kind of diabetes but don't remember. right now the reason to why i came back was to protect that one out of trouble and be with Lil's and gin if not I don't think I would have come back Severus did say a few words that hurt me enough to attempt to stay away." she told him. She then looked at him as he smiled after Mj and giggled. "You know she does not date because of her brother he scares half the guys that attempt to ask her out." A grin spread on her face. "want to challenge that I would back you up." She heard peeves and crossed her arms. "Be careful Peeves can be a peeping tom.." she said angrily. "i caught him once and was going to report him but i cannot go further down past the statues he won't allow it. She then beggun to sneeze as if someone was talking about her. "my name has been said by someone..." she mumbled. Mary could be surperstisious

Gin nodded rolling her eyes in a playful fashion as Sirius commented he wouldn't mind pranking she did hope to some point he'd say something else as well. Oh, but then again she was sometimes foolish. Maybe he didn't... she thought for a moment, and then her retort came to her it was too hilarious not to say. "Really I thought it was being the gryffindor ladies man and trying to get all the girls in our year except Lily to swoon after you." She looked at the floor after saying, this "Er yeah, James and Lily good point we should see what they were thinking of doing...who knows maybe Lily talked some sense into James and we don't have to be the distraction anymore." Gin shrugged her shoulders it wasn't that she'd mind being the distraction she just wasn't the type to off and snog someone - even if she liked them, for the first time that is in front of the entire school and even professors.

Walking over she stopped in front of Lily and James. "So," she began not even bothering to finish her train of thought in her mind she was thinking up private places she could well have a snog fest with one Sirius black in. She didn't know about the room of requirement yet - that to her was just a rumor she knew of other places not as secretive but other places none the less.

The Quidditch pitch in the Gryffindor house team's meeting area, in the middle of the pitch during off season, in the stands, in the forbidden forest with all the centaurs screaming at them...oh the places her head had gone. An utterly dopey doe-eyed expression came across her face one that made her look like a kid on Christmas.

Look who had just walked over, Lily thought as she laid eyes on both Sirius and Gin walking over to them. She couldn't help but laugh when Gin's expression went so nostalgically happy. She had no idea what she was thinking of, but she would love to know - after all Gin was one of her best mates. That was the exact time that she heard Mary sneeze and say someone was talking about her.

"Alright - then I think i'll have to take you up on that offer Mary." Peter smiled, it was a true smile, the first true smile he'd even shown anyone in years it seemed.

"Mary, that would be James and Me, and now all of you if you want to join." Lily smiled.

"I well, gave my input on James's little prank idea - and all be it there are some funny points to it, I did suggest that it be him and I who do the distracting - sorry if you two had your hearts set on it." Lily smiled apologetically to Sirius and Gin, "James was just so set on it being snogging - and as distracting as the two of you snogging would be it wouldn't effect Severus. He already doesn't like James at all so James and me would be like a punch in the gut." She explained.

"And Mary, James and I were wondering if you'd do the charm for us that makes it so the potion only effects Sirius and Cat - and no worries non toxic or anything. I think its mainly cinnamon and disgusting beetle bits I don't know its purple and smells off." She exclaimed pointing at James's own vile. Hopefully it worked and didn't just make them spew everywhere.

"Hey Padfoot, Gin!" James said with a grin. "How you guys doing? Finished your little chat?"

"Yeah and Mary, the charm is Rednege Gnahc Dnim." James pronounced the spell. The incantation made him laugh when he first heard it. What kind of spell has rednege as the first part?

"The potion has got both cinnamon and beetle bits, good on you for guessing right! It also has troll boogers and some yummy yummy Gernumblie venom!" James said to Lily. "Doesn't it sound nice?"

"I really wanted to do the distraction!" He finished, holding Lily close.

Lily felt herself nearly hurl as the potion ingredients were listed. "Hey it wasn't a guess do you remember who won her way fair and square into the Slugclub in first year?" Lily asked huffing slightly. "I mean I didn't use the stupid potions book you nicked off Severus - I was the one who made most of the corrections." Lily admitted proudly. "Mainly the draught of sleeping death." She nodded as she spoke.

"Aw, thanks love," she smiled up at him as he pulled her closer to him.

"Yes I do remember. You threw your potions textbook at me because I teased ytou about being too smart. By the way I'm sorry about the teasing. You did very well with a lot of those corrections. Those corrections on the draught of sleeping death helped me pass Potions last year, though knowing me I would have passed anyway."

James gave her a smirk, looking down at her. He started to kiss her again, ignoring Sirius and Gin who were probably gagging at the adorableness that was James and Lily.

"Pish, posh its all in the past. Stop apologizing already." Lily laughed, rolling her eyes as she said this to make more of an ephisis in what she was saying. Lily smiled up at James when he kissed her, and pulled away more quickly than she or he would have expected.

"Need - to - breath" she expressed almost out of breath. It was that, yes, and Lily was immensley shy.

Since when was Cat this nice. She has been all this week. Doesit matter,atleast she cares "I really hope your right Cat cause I don't think I could work things out if those two end up dating. I lost Lily even as a freind when I called her that foul horrible word when I was in a situation of total embarrassment. But still it's been over a year and she will barely look at me. I just...... I don't know, I just can't find it in me to me on.", Severus said honestly a small tear falling down his face he wished he did not have.

"Fine I'll stop apologising." James gave in. As she pulled away James cocked his head slightly in confusion, laughing as he heard her reply.

"Well breathing is very important. I don't want to stop you from it." He gave her a smirk, still looking down at her. He couldn't believe the personality change Lily had gone through. Two years ago, she wouldn't have even given him the time of day.

Remus smiled as he saw Lily and James be all coupley, Sirius and Gin standing by.

Walking over, he joined them. "Hello." he said kindly to them, not wanting to completely interrupt them. "You all almost ready for the prank?"

Gin looked over to Remus as he walked over. "Oh I think we are," she laughed "don't have to do anything." She remarked glancing from Sirius, to Remus, and then back at the wall infront of her. "Might go and just watch, or...I don't know what would you do Remus?" She wasn't flirting - no but thinking she was could make people act. Still, she was just being her usual overly friendly self.

She reached into her pocket and pulled out her wand pointing it at the ground she kept repeating one spell, turning it off, and repeating it again - over and over. She was feeling, awkward you could say. "Lumos" she whispered her wand tip casting light down her leg, "Nox." And it was out again. She did this when she was fighting urges to yell at someone, scream, cry, or show any type of emotion - both good and bad. She did it when ever Sirius was nearby.

Lily looked up at Remus and smiled, "Hey Remus" she gave hima quick smile. "Um yeah i think we are." Lily nodded, then turnig to James she smiled. "Good, god, and thanks for understanding love." She smiled.

Cat nodded understanding. "Well, if I were here i'd be mad you did also say that because she was a woman you didn't need her help." Cat rolled her eyes remembering the situation, "You should have outright said, I don't want to feel like I owe you everything - I already love you too much...maybe then she'd be more receptive." She nodded, knowing someone in yelling they loved her was a shocking thing to hear - but better than damning woman or muggleborns at that.

"Believe me. I know it's not going to work. She's going to get her heart broken and I'm going to be very tempted to say I told you so." Alex wouldn't do that though. Because that would hurt Lily even more. He laughed at Luci's last edition. "Believe me. I don't need help in that department." And it was true. Alex could get any girl he wanted. Except for Lily.

"Anyways mate, Mary, and Mj are here as well you could flirt with a friend and get her mad....because you know how she is - last time she caught you flirting with Gin she got so mad. Maybe that was because Gin's totally into Sirius."
