10. Engorgio


Luna skipped around the house in a rather bubbly mood. Her friends were coming to visit her. She was in the garden picking daffodils when she heard the familiar tap tap tap of her father’s typewriter as he started on the new issue of the Quibbler. She looked up and saw Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville coming down the road. She stood up to wave them over.

“Hello Luna,” Neville said as a crimson tint creeped up his cheeks. She beamed at him and bade all her friends into her unusual house. She skipped through the house throwing open all that drapes and letting the sun pour into the tiny living room crammed with the strange and weird of the Lovegood universe.

“Care for some pudding?” She asked as she tucked her wand behind her ear. They all nodded and she went in search for her pudding. She pulled one cup out of the cupboard. A smile spread on her face. “Engorgio.” She said and the cup expanded in her hand till it was too heavy for her to hold. She pushed it into the living room and handed out spoons. “Dig in guys.” She cried to pearls of laughter.
