LouAnn Purple. That was like the most AMAZING name ever. And Tammy so wanted it, it was kinda funky. And it wasn't boring like Tamzin Wood. EH. "Cool name, anyways LouAnn. Nice to meet you, but I think we've gone on a bit too long this session. So I've gotta start wrapping it up right about now. Another time before I graduate, I'll catch up with you or something. Alright?" Tammy offfered her a smile and got up from her seat, clapping her hands together lightly as she looked at the group.

"Well guys, I know there hasn't been much done tonight, but I want to thank you all for coming, and it is much appreciated and I want to thank you again from myself and Rachel just for turning up. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the next session. Er. Thanks again."

Oh, so the session was over now? Wow...and LouAnn had gotten...nothing done. It was her own fault, though. She'd chatted and thumbed through books the entire time. "Oh, yeah...right...too long. Got'cha," she said, standing up and gathering her thirteen or so textbooks. How she managed to carry all those books around without breaking her back was beyond her. Thank Merlin for magic. How muggles lived without it was also beyond her. "Nice meeting you, Tammy. I'll see ya around. Torin, Fyo, Cedric...see you boys around, too," she said, swinging her bag over her shoulder and heading out. After all that studying, she needed a nap...or a snack one.

"Hmm... we could build an obstacle course for them. Like a bridge of books and little tunnels made of parchment." Carter suggested. He looked down at his little queen chess piece knowing that it might be a little difficult with such a big crown on it. But it would be fun anyway.

Marilyn's frown instantly brightened into her trademark smile. "That does sound like fun. Okay..." She leaned down to her bag to retrieve some parchment and her potions book. "I hope you have some of your books because I've only got one with me..."

"Well it's a good thing we are in a library." Carter said flashing an equally bright smile. He started grabbing books off of a nearby shelf. He opened the books and stacked them upside down so they made a sloping pyramid (after all, the chess pieces didn't have that much movement). "How does it look so far?" he asked her admiring his work.

Marilyn's cheeks colored with embarrassment. You're in a library, Force? Really? She watched him work quickly, erecting makeshift tunnels with the many books. She nodded her obvious approval. "You're a quick thinker." Her little knight was confused about whether he was dancing or not. "Not today, love." His little shoulders slumped as he moved to get back on his horse.

Carter blushed ever so slightly as Marilyn complimented him. There was nothing like a beautiful girl saying your smart. He then turned his attention to her chess piece. "Aw. Your little knight is sad. Looks like he really wanted to dance." he said gently pushing his queen in her knight's direction. "Be nice." he whispered. "I think he likes you." He rolled up the final piece of parchment for their race. "Ready?" he asked her.

Marilyn smirked her knight and told him to get ready to race. "You can dance with her later." She looked up at Carter and smiled. "If Carter says its okay, of course." She laughed as the little metal piece pranced across the table in front of her happily. Flicking her wand, she pointed him towards the starting line... "Wait, where's the starting line?"

Carter laughed. "Who would I be to stand between a queen and her knight? You may dance after our little competition." he said smiling down at his queen (who returned the smile) and then back up at Marilyn. "Hmmm... a starting line..." he thought to himself. He then leaned over the table and placed his arm between the chess pieces and the obstacle course. "How's this?" he asked raising and lowering his forearm like a gate.

"Hmm...I suppose your arm will just have to do." Marilyn teased. She eyed his Queen for a moment before lowering her eyes back to her own piece. "Just do your best...and if she beats you, that's okay." Of course, Marilyn was going to be controlling the chess piece mostly...but she was having fun talking to him. The knight trotted towards Carter's arm and stood at the ready. Marilyn smirked at Carter. "Are you ready?"

Carter smirked as the two chess pieces approached his arm. This was going to be fun. He carefully looked over the obstacle course they built. There was a pyramid of 5 books and a few parchment tunnels. He was almost tempted to spill a bottle of ink that they'd have to run through, but he resisted the urge. "Alright. On your mark... get set... GO!" he said raising up his arm. Oh it was on. And with that his little queen hurried along while holding up the hem of her dress. (Wouldn't want her to trip now, would we?)

Tammy nodded again, smiled at the small amount of people that hadnt yet left the library. And began to usher them out. " Thanks for coming guys."

Study Session 3

Chris Potter walked into the Library a bit nervous. Today he and his fellow Gryffindor Prefect were running the third Study Session of the term. As he made his way over to the area set up for them with a few large tables, he hummed a happy tune. Chris had thought about it the night before and had decided he was going to take a page out of Professor Lupa's teaching tactics and then went about placing a chocolate frog at each spot of the tables. Candy could help stimulate their minds.

When he was finished he finally reached the front of the study area after tripping once, and looked out at the empty room. Now he just had to wait for the studiers to arrive.

Chris flicked his wand and a little sign appeared right at the front of the room on the wall.

"Hey Chris!" Celandine greeted her smart potions buddy cheerfully, adding a little wink as she chose a seat near the middle clusters of desks.

"I've done all my homework and revision and everything so I'm willing to help anyone okay? Just let me know if I'm needed!"

Chris's eyes locked on the door as the first person arrived to his and Winnie's Study Session. "Hey Cela! Good to see you, and I'm glad you cam out." he said waving to her happily from the front of the area.

He listened to her and his face lightened. "Well that's great! I could always use bright minds to help others!" he beamed at his Ravenclaw friend.

He smiled and hoped some more people would show up soon.

Because Chris asked, Livvy would come to the Study Session, though her last one had been quite a failure and she had hardly done anything productive the las time. Or the time before that. She usually preferred to do such things on her own time, but unfortunately, she'd have to do the Transfiguration homework with another student. Oh weeelll... Livvy would just have to deal with it.

She walked into the library, glancing around as she walked over to the study area. No one here yet? Awww... Dat's tooo badd.

Livvy smiled at Chris and Cela for they were the only two that were there. "Hey Chris. Hey Cela. I'm HEEEERRRE!" she said, cheerfully as she walked on over and took a seat near the front-ish area.

"I'll help you anytime Chris!" Cela answered and shifted in her seat to cross her legs. What was she going to work on herself? A little secret something for a secret someone, thats what, though she was definitely happy to bounce around and help people that needed it.

"Hey Livvy!"

Wooo Ravenclaw!

"What do you have to work on?" Celandine asked, leaning her chin on her hand.

Livvy just smiled and shrugged. "I've got everything taken care of except for the Transfiguration homework. I was going to do it with my friend, Whit, except I haven't seen her lately. So I decided I'd take advantage of today and finish that off," she said, nodding her head as she dropped her book bag to the floor and crossed her arms. "You?"

Knowing Cela and her diligence, she was probably all done.

Chris listened to Cela talk and then flashed her a bright smile and then said, "Thanks Cela you are a great friend." he then heard another person about to arrive.

Livvy came!!!

Chris waved happily and gave Livvy a high five as she walked in. "Good to see you here Livvy. Man i hope more than just you two show up. It would be fun to hang out with you guys, but these sessions are for a larger audience." he laughed. "Ok so Livvy you just need Transfiguration? Well what I plan on doing when more people arrive, is to ask questions and do a quick review of classes and then set everyone off to do homework. And then others can float about helping." he nodded to the two Ravenclaw girls.

Mina quickly walked toward the study area. Her was wondering why she was even there. Considering the last time she attended one of these study sessions, she got little homework done. But, it was worth a try to see if she could actually accomplish something this time.

Noticing the very small gathering of students already there, she found a seat. Once again she was one of the youngest students there. Maybe I'll go unnoticed again or someone I know will come. She glanced around quickly before pulling out her things.

Now, what can I do while I'm here? Oh yes, she remembered she still had some transfiguration homework to do. Leaning over for her bag she reached inside and pulled out her chess piece. Setting it by her text, she reached for another text to occupy her until more people arrived.

Standing on a wobbly chair, Kiri stretched her arm out as far as it would go. The tome she wanted to grab, A comprehensive study of Egyptian curses in the Old Kingdom, was just out of reach. With only a few centimetres to spare, the chair creaked dangerously, and Kiri decided to give up. Ancient curses weren't worth a broken arm or neck. With a sigh, she climbed down and shoved the chair away. Today was the first day in months where she hadn't taken her wand with her when she left the common room, it figured that she needed it now. Thanks, Professor Lawson, she thought dryly. Never going out without it again, ever.

The dull silence of the library was broken by several people talking. Kiri poked her head out from the row she'd been perusing (C-G) to see what was going on. The tables at the entrance area of the library were filling up. She could see Celandine as well as that Gryffindor Prefect who'd been at the Astronomy meeting months ago. What was his name...

She shuffled her stuff together and wandered over. Chris! That's right, that was his name. And he seemed tall enough to get that book for her. "Hi Celandine, hi Chris," she called out, dropping her mass - and mess - of parchment on the table and sinking into a seat beside them. "Another study session?"

"Hey, everyone!" LouAnn greeted, as quietly as she could, of course. She didn't want to get caught yelling in a library. She took a seat and tossed her schoolbag onto the table. She only had two assignments left to do, and they were Transfiguration and Ancient Runes. Her plan was to use her study time to get the two done. Unless of course by some odd miracle someone required her assistance in something.

She plopped her Transfiguration book onto the table and began to flip through it. What was it they had to do again? LouAnn honestly couldn't remember. The only thing she'd managed to accomplish in class was accidentally chunking her marshmallow halfway across the room.

Livvy laughed and grinned as she returned the high five that Chris gave her. She shifted around in her seat to try and make herself more comfortable. "Don't worry Chris buddy... I notified the Ravenclaws. I'm sure they'll be there. If they don't, I'll hunt 'em down and..." Well... the next part was a given and could only be assumed. But knowing Livvy, she could be very vicious when she could. Plus... she HAD been a Beater for two terms in a row. Dun mess with da Livmeister, yo.

Nodding her head, Livvy replied, "Yes. All I have to do is Transfiguration and Ancient Runes." She paused for a few moments as she listened to Chris and his plan that he had come up with. "That sounds good, Chris."

Livvy looked up from where she sat and glanced around as more students began to arrive. So far, another Ravenclaw had come which was good. One of the Gryffindor gals greeted everyone with a hello and Livvy smiled at the girl waving at her. What was her name? Lou - something... LouAnn? Louise? ... LouAnn. That was it.

Chris watched as a few more people trickled in. He saw a younger Ravenclaw girl enter and then sit down at a table quietly. "Hello there! Thank you for coming." he smield brightly at her.

Next the Prefect greeted an enthusiastic Slytherin. Wit he knew her, she was Kiri from the Astronomy Tower meeting. "Hello Kiri glad you are here! We will be stating in just a few minutes!" he grinned.

Chris smiled and waved to LouAnn as she entered the Study area. "Good to see you LouAnn! This session will hopefully go over pretty well." he nodded and smiled. They had just about enough people to start, now.

Chris beamed happily and chuckled at Livvy's comment. "Thanks Livvy that would be highly appriciated." he smiled again to the other who were already there and then decided to continue.

He cleared his throat softly and then looked around the room with a bright smile. "Hello everyone, and welcome to the third Study Session. We are going to go ahead and get started and just have my colleige Winnie and any other late-comers join us when they get here." he nodded.

"Ok first of all, we are going to have a quick review of the main points covered in the recent classes." he then paused to think of a recent class to ask about. He drummed his fingers ont he table and then got one. "Ok well, who can tell me a difference between Flitterbloom and Devil's Snare?" he asked the room at large.

Slipping quietly into the library and then proceeding to take a seat further back from the main part of the group, Tammy smiled over at Chris. He was meant to have someone in here with him right? Winnie? Where, well Chris seemed to have it under control. She gave him a little thumbs up quickly, and set her bag on the floor, adjusting the shoes she was wearing, -coincidentally a present from Chris for Christmas-.
