At the librarian's question, Melina's eyes glittered. So even the librarian was aware of how wonderful that mirror was! But of course she would be. Who wouldn't? It was truly the most beautiful thing she had ever seen and only a fool wouldn't consider it to be so grand. Opening her mouth to answer the woman, she found her would-be speech being cut out by the intervention of quite too many people who requested for the lady's attention.

Glueing her lips together, she went back to bouncing on the spot as she waited for the woman to be free again. However, before such a thing happened, Juni was dragging her away and away and awaaaay. Next thing she knew, Madam Kohan was too far for Melly to answer her. The girl couldn't feel concerned about it though. If Juni was taking her out of there, then she must be curious about the mirror, right? RIGHT! Woohoo mirrooor!

"You'll love it, Juni!," She whispered excitedly to her friend, waddling after her.

Once again Abby has more questions than answers. She decides the best place to start is with Professor Vindictus comment: why did Alice want to know what was on the other side of the mirror? The most obvious answer for Abby is curiosity. If there is something I've learned the most obvious answer is not always the answer you want. Abby walks up to the front desk. Madame Kohan is waiting on some other students, so Abby waits at an appropiate distance. She doesn't want to over hear what the others are saying.

"Hello!"Set said as he approached the counter. "Do you have any books on school laws, perticually about forming clubs?" Set asked.

As he passed by the front desk on his way out of the library (still invisible), he reached out and touched a boy who was standing at the desk. The boy was dead before Voldemortist had finished walking out the door. And then Voldemortist vanished.

Jake wandered up to the front desk from another section of the Library. He was looking for a book on Herbology that he couldn't seem to find anywhere. Ahead of him, he'd seen movement; a boy falling to the floor out of the blue. There on the ground, ahead of him, was a familiar looking boy.

"Set?" Jake asked the boy, whom he had shared a dormitory with since they arrived. "Stop fooling about... Set?"

Jake knelt down and shook Set's shoulder. His hand touched his icy face, and Jake screamed.

Freya rushed over as she heard a scream...but didn't expect to see what was in front of her.
"My God..." She said, slightly breathless. Her head turned back to the once crowded corner then back to the body on the floor, she wasn't dare going to touch the boy, having had enough contact with cadavers in her life already. 'The poor kid...' Set's face still had color, it must have happened not long ago.
She kneeled down next to the body for a moment before standing back up, looking at the faces around her. How close had the rest of them been to ending up the same way? What was going on?!
Hogwarts was no longer a safe haven...indeed the students would all have to be on their guard....

Ana was walking through the corridor when she heard a scream. She follow the noise and froze seeing Jake close to another boy which she couldn't see who he was.

She ran to him to ask what happened when she saw it "S...Setttt!!" she covered her mouth with the hands. He seemed dead... "What happen? What's happening with him?" she asked and then she remembered Cadence. This can't be happening...

Spence heard the commotion and ran to the door. She saw a boy and kids standing around the boy. She ran up, Set?!? She saw the boy and gasped, she said the first thing that came to her mind, Cadence won't like this! She felt very upset.

Jake stared at the hand which had touched Set's face. "Oh my... WHAT?!" he yelled, feeling sick. This was the boy he had lived in the same room with four 4 months. He was 11 years old, 12 at the most. And he was dead.

Shaking like a maniac, Jake placed his hand in front of Set's moth and nose, but nothing. He started crying, not really knowing why. His breathing was shaky as he looked up. "He's DEAD..." Jake shouted.

Why had he accused him of being a horrible person, granted it was in his head... but stilll...

Cale heard a number of screams and yells coming from the front desk--could this day get any weirder? Clearly not. As he approached the front desk, he saw a small group of people gathered around something...pushing his way up there, his mouth fell open in horror. Huffie Brat was screaming the truth--there was a dead boy on the ground!

"Everyone stand back!" Cale demanded. Oh lordy...they had never covered this in his Prefect manual. He needed to get a professor down here or something, and probably the nurse...just to be sure.

He looked back at the Hufflepuff boy he had encountered in the bathroom. Poor thing was crying and everything...awkwardly, he patted him on the shoulder. "Ermm...it's ok, calm down!" he said, trying to make him feel better.

Freya placed her hands on the boy's shoulders, trying to calm him. "He is, yes...". She said calmly, keeping herself as composed as possible, though on the inside she was panic stricken. Were the rest of them still at risk? Was whatever that killed this boy still here? Too many questions....'Perhaps I should leave the school before it happens again.'
She kneeled down next to the other student, "You should sit down, I know it's horrible, but you must stay composed." Freya probably seemed heartless, but nobody could afford to have others running around like chickens with their heads cut off, that did no good to anyone. She dared not sugar coat things either....

Spence was so shocked. She had let out a short scream at the words from Jake. Are you sure? Are you SURE?!? She was very scared. WHO DID IT?!?

Jake jumped at the pat on the shoulder, and then at being held on the shoulders. What the hell was going on?! He'd changed his mind; Jake hated this place, he wanted out, to go back home.

"I want... but it... it's Set! I never... heard him out... and he... quidditch tryouts..." Jake sobbed, why was no-one getting a teacher. Didn't Set also have a girlfriend?

Sitting on the floor next to Set, Jake covered his ears and began to rock back and forth. "No more shouting, No more shouting," he whimpered. "Hoooome..."

This was so surreal, and he wanted Dominic or Kayla here, or Lima... or Cameron. He needed someone to cry to, even though he wasn't ever on best friend terms.

He'd found a body...

Cale felt extra horrible as the Huffie kid started crying even more. Darn, now he felt REMORSE for being mean to him earlier. Boooooo. "Look, I know it's horrible but...there's nothing you can do. But I do need you to do something for me--go get a Professor," he told him. "Anyone, the first person you see, get them and bring them here as fast as you can."

He turned to the group again, trying to mentally calm everyone down. Meh. It wasn't working. "Everyone please try and remain calm and back away from this area!" he called out.

Spence sat quietly by Jake, I'm sorry Jake. I didn't mean to scream. i was very scared. I am very sorry about this. She didn't touch him so as not to scare him more.

'I'm the calmest person here, Prefect!' Freya thought to herself and eyed the other young Hufflepuff boy, "If you decide to go, be very cautious...no dark corners." Her pale eyes flashed towards the corner again. Perhaps she should send a letter to her family soon...let them know that there was a possibility that she would be arriving home early.
Freya placed a hand to her forehead, and lost herself in thought. Maybe the young boy should stay while she herself went to get aid? Her mind was scrambled now...too much....
She turned back to the prefect. "Maybe we should just send a letter. I don't like the idea of having others wandering around when we have no idea what is going on."
Freya reached into her bag and tore a piece of parchment from a notepad.

How come the library was too crowded? Something must have happened, not this bunch of people waited around to Madam Kohan...by the way, where was she?

And then her eyes caught what they were all looking at. "What-?" she couldn't phrase, there was a Huffie down, a known Huffie, by the way. And there was that Gryffindor Prefect and Jake? Why was the Prefect letting the first years around the Huffie boy..who was...what?! Dead?! Oh, this was not good, not good for the school.

"Hey, why don't the first years just move along and let the Prefect handle the situation, huh?" she said, and her eyes were suddenly focused on Jake, her Seeker, "Are you alright, Jake?" poor sweet Jake, of course he wasn't alright.

Reese,who was studying in a chair nearby(yes,it's shocking Reese was studying),noticed all the chaos coming from the front desk.She noticed Cale trying to clam the little ones down and know Reese was curious.What was going on?She closed her bok and sat it down.Sh stood up from the chair and walked over to them.Then,she saw it...a dead boy lying on the floor. "Ohmygosh,"she said.She backed up against the desk,so she would fall over from shock.She looked at Cale,her eyes filled with terror. "What happened?!"

Spence sat there trying to calm Jake with soothing words but people kept asking if he was alright, Of course he's not alright. Wolud you be? Seeing a friend and housemate lie dead. Would you? Her voice was very angry indeed.

Oh, how much Kaika wanted to roll her eyes right now. Yes, she knew that he wasn't alright. But that's not exactly what she meant, "I mean...hurt or anything..." she said, confusion in her voice.

And...no...she wouldn't be alright. Her mind wandered off to see awful images of her friends dead, and no, she would never be alright if she got to see that. That's why she was so thankful she wasn't anywhere nearby when her mother died. She couldn't deal with that memory.

"I know...but you also have to calm down..." wasn't that what Cale was telling them, "...and we have to find a Professor--where is Madam Kohan?" sure, the question was not directed to the girl, but she looked around for the librarian.

Spence heard what the girl said and nodded, Sorry I snapped. I am a bit on edge and no I don't, sorry. She turned back to Jake, trying to calm him down again.

Lima walked into the library to... total chaos. What was going on here? She saw Reese and started to head over to her when she let out a gasp. There was a little boy she had never seen before lying on the ground obviously dead. And poor Jakey Wakey sitting right there beside him.

Knowing that Cale was there to take care of things, she headed right for Jake, and avoiding hitting the people that were sitting by him, she walked right towards him and sat down, wrapping him in a big hug.

Jake's head turned to all the different directions as people spoke to him. He recognised some, but others just blended into the crowd.

EEP! What if it was a virus that killed Set, and Jake touched him. ACK!!!!! NUUUUU!!!!! But that was a very good point... what had killed Set?

"Where's Cadence?" Jake murmured to Spence, looking up with his glistening-with-tears, deep blue eyes. People were fussing about him, but what were they supposed to do with Set? What about his family... and he was dead!

Wow, so... deeply disturbing for an eleven year old...

"Lima!" Jake suddenly cried out, spying the seventh year before she reached him and enveloped him in a hug, and crying and hiccoughing.

Cale looked back and forth--why were people not being calm? They needed to be calm! No good ever came from freaking out over anything. "Look, everyone stop talking for like, ten seconds," he said, sighing and running a hand through his hair. He needed like, a megaphone or something.

"Whatever happened to this poor boy here was a very unfortunate accident and I know you're all upset, but the best thing to do right now is to try and calm down. I'd advise that you all return to your dorms, and you shouldn't feel threatened--whatever did this to him is probably long gone by now. If you don't feel comfortable going alone, travel in pairs." he said. He turned back down to Lima, who was cradling Jake in her arms. Best to leave them alone, that poor boy was in serious need of some help. "Erm, Lima, maybe you should take Jake to the nurse for some Calming Draught," he suggested.

He turned to everyone else and sighed again. "I'll stay here until a professor turns up." he informed them all.

Lima just held onto him as he sobbed. She patted him on the back soothingly and just let him cry. She didn't feel the need to tell him that it would be okay, she just let him get all his tears out.

Then she heard Cale suggest that she take him to the Nurses. "Right," she said softly. She gently let go of Jake and slowly got up. Standing in front of him, she held out her hand and said, "you want to go to the Nurses, Jake?" kindly. She wanted to make it his choice in the matter as far as when he was ready to leave the boy.
