Hmph. This boy was annoying. "Yes. MY ducks. Because their obviously not yours. And I was here first. So shoo." Her, unpleasant? If this boy wanted unpleasant, she'd give him unpleasant. Wanting to get Bubba back over on her side of the small pond, the lioness pointed her wand at the loaf of bread. "Geminio," she said, and the bread multiplied in size. That was her favourite Transfiguration spell, because it could be used on food.

The bread multiplied in size, and the smell of warm bread filled the air. Alice ripped it in half and tossed the giant chunk into the pond. The ducks gathered around the grains and started pecking at it. The third year tossed in another, but slightly smaller, piece of bread into the pond for Bubba. Content, the girl sat on the rock ledge and dipped her feet into the pond.

"Go away now," she told the boy. "I win. So ha." Life was good.

Well. It would be if old bloke would go away.

Indy wasn't too sure why Daichi wanted to see her. She hadn't seen him for a while though, so she was happy to be seeing him. Indy was even bringing Pink Ted with her. It was still a bit chilly out here, so she had one of Dylan's slytherin hoodys on. Her boyfriend was so much taller than her that the jumper kind of drowned her, and so it was really warm. She liked it a lot. Dylan was a super awesome boyfriend. Although he hadn't wanted one of her ravenclaw scarves. Which had made her a bit pouty but there was more scarves for her this way.

Ahh. There he was. Indy smiled as she wandered over to him. "hey Daichi..." She mused with a smile. She hadn't seen him for a while. Mainly because she'd been spending her time with Dylan. But that was okay.

Taryn blinked.

That was it? Milton didn't seem the type to get all upset about a lost wand. "How did you lose your wand?" There was definitely something else to all of this, but he wasn't going to be forthcoming about it. Typical boy.

Daichi wrapped his Slytherin scarf higher up his neck so that the cold air wouldn't hit that part. He checked his watch while he looked around for any sign of Indy. What if she thought it was too cold and didn't want to come?

But when he took notice of a girl in a big hoody he couldn't help but laugh softly in relief. He is worrying too much, everything was going to be fine! Joao had said so! Daichi smiled when he saw Indy wandering towards him, Pink Ted in her hand and all. Okay, this is it. He thought as he took a deep calming breath.

"..h-hey" he answered he greeting and bowed his head. His friend had said to dive right in to the question, but the fourteen year old was a little scared. Besides, going to it slowly didn't hurt right? "Nice hoody" he chuckled.

"How..how've you been?" he couldn't even look her in the eyes at this moment, that's how nervous he was and he kept fumbling with the bracelet in his pocket.

Deciding to take a break from the castle, Dylan made his way out to the grounds...and towards the lake. Of course the further he walked...the closer he got to the Duck pond.

Ducks, eh?

The Slytherin had never before visited the place...and figured he could check it out. Yes, he was that bored...and he hadn't been able to find his girlfriend anywhere. It always irritated him when he couldn't find Indy. She was one of the very few people he enjoyed being around these days. Everyone with their freezing and class disruption...

Ugh, Dylan didn't want to think about it...

But...as he closed in on the pond...something funny caught his gaze...

Indy. He'd found Indy...and she wasn't alone.

What was she doing with Duck Boy? And why did Duck boy look so nervous...??

Quickly ducking (PUN INTENDED) behind some of the vegetation...Dylan watched the two...He hadn't known what inspired him to do so...but, at the same time, something told him he'd want to watch this...

So...he observed...

Edric eyed the blonde girl as she went on about being there first and the ducks being hers. Oh, Merlin. It was times like these that made him miss being part of an all-boys school. Girls were absolutely ridiculous. This one, especially, seemed a royal pain in the neck. And, as she enchanted the bread to become as large as her oversized, air-filled head, Edric realized with horror that her uniform matched his an awful lot - she was a Gryffindor too.
Oh, great.

Edric rolled his eyes as the unfriendly girl stole all the ducks and shooed him off. Honestly, did she really think she had a say on what other people could or could not do? 'Cause…. she didn't. And Edric was staying. ESPECIALLY now that he'd discovered this awful, unpleasant creature. If having him around was unhappiness for her, then this duck pond was about to become his second home.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," muttered the Gryffindor boy as a lonely duck lingered by his side of the pond. It was a smart duck - when he realized that all the other ones had gone away to fight over the same bits of bread, he stayed behind and took all of Edric's offerings to himself. He was taking alone the meal of at least a dozen ducks. Edric smiled with amusement at the realization.

Who knew ducks could be so clever?
As a few of the other ducks began to notice what Mr. Brain was up to, they came over to Edric's side, taking greedy bites of the bread they didn't have to compete so fiercely for.

"You may have more ducks, but my ducks are certainly happier," pointed out Edric proudly. He was a good, kind ruler. That annoying girl was just a manipulating dictator. Psh.

This boy was mean. He could have all the ducks in the Pond, excluding Bubba. And he kept dragging Bubba back over to his mean-boy bread. Hmph. Alice thought of throwing more bread at him, but that didn't seem fair to the ducks. And she had to think about her ducks. She was going to be a majestic queen for the rest of her life, and would be ruling things much more important than ducks, and she couldn't let anything slide out of her grip. Not at the hands of an old bloke with grey in his hair and air in his head, she wouldn't.

The lioness pulled on her shoes and picked up her loaf of bead. After climbing off of the rock ledge, she skipped over to the side of the pond where the boy was standing. Getting a closer look at his robes, she noticed the crest on his robes. "You're a Gryffindor?" Oh, the horror. But. If this was a boy in her House, he'd have more than plenty of time to bother her, so she might as well end her suffering now. Without waiting for a reply, she pushed him in the pond, robes, bread, and all.

The next thing she knew, she was dripping wet.

The boy had made such a splash that Alice had gotten drenched, too. Her bread had somehow also ended up in the water, and the ducks were all happily gobbling up both their soggy loaves. BUT. She still won. "I win!"

Then she poked the boy. "Do you want any help getting out of there?" He wasn't annoying when he couldn't talk, so she might as well be nice for those few moments.

Justin walked down to the Duck Pond with Ariana in tow. They were there to visit their duck, JJ. When they got to the bench they sat down and he called the little duck over, " JJ!!!! Come here... We got your favourite food.... Granny sent it for you..." he smiled.

Ariana say down and patted her legs as justin called JJ over "come here cute little Ducky!"

Dylan's hoody was really warm. Maybe having a nice slytherin boyfriend was pretty awesome. She'd never get cold. Indy decided that she would have to go and get Dylan to give her more of his clothes. She was sure he'd agree. Because he was awesome like that. And seeing as Indy would probably pout at him if he didn't, he better give her one. But right now she was needing to think about Daichi. Oooh. Maybe she could tell him about Dylan. She hadn't told that many people so it would be nice.

Oh the hoody. "Thanks..." She grinned, as she looked down at it. The hoody wasn't as awesome as her ravenclaw one, but it was nice. Not that she'd tell Dylan she preferred her own hoody. He probably wouldn't like that. Indy watched him. He wasn't even looking at her. That was a bit odd. "I've been good..." Very good. But she'd tell him about that later.

"Are you okay Daichi...?" He was acting a little weird.

Justin smiled as JJ waddled up to them. He bent over and scooped him up and sat him on Ariana's lap so they could pet him. He opened the sack of food and held it out for her to grab some so she could feed their duck. " Here, Babe...."

Ariana scooped up her duck and cuddled him close to her chest "Hi Buddy." she said as she nuzzled him she then put him on the bench between them as he sat down and began nipping at the sack of food before ariana was able to take it, she laughed

Daichi looked at her hoody without any suspision. He truly believed that this was her own despite it being too big for her. If only he knew...

He looked up at her face and again he felt a blush creeping up his cheeks. "you're welcome" he muttered awkwardly as she said a thanks about the hoody.

The Slytherin gripped the small pink bracelet in his pocket and rolled the beads in between his fingers. His head snapped back up when he heard her words and he panicked a little. Was it that obvious?

"I...yes i'm fine" he smiled but then he took a small deep breath. He encouraged himself in his mind to just say and get it over with. "Actually, Indy, i.." he stopped to bite his lower lip nervously. No , he could not back out now. She had to know the reason why he had called her to this place.

"I.. was wondering if.. i mean" this was going no where. "Indy, i .. i think you are an cute and amazing girl" Ah no that was so cheezy. Stupid Joao for telling him to just say it. "And..uhm.. w-when i'm a-around you i..i feel happy and relaxed" What? he is a noob at this , give him a break! he smiled weakly as he did what he had been told.

He pushed his glasses up for a second, grabbed her hand in his own and stepped a little closer to her. "I... really like you" he said as he looked down at her and then took a very deep breath to calm himself again. Now that he was so close to her, he thought the redness in his face all the way to his neck was set on fire. "Indy, do you want to go out with me?"

O_o whoa, where'd that come from?!

"Ever died it any other colour other than red shades?'' Jory asked. "Or put streaks in?'' He had seen girls with all different colours;some with blue, pink and what ever else. "You know, I once saw a teenage girl who had yellow and orange dyed onto her hair at the base of her ponytail so it looked as though her hair was on fire.'' He had found it so cool, he to try hard not to stare.

"Your parents sound nice,'' Jory told Alex. "Did they come to Hogwarts as well?''

Edric didn't even have time to reply when the annoying blonde girl suddenly noticed that they were in the same House - he'd kinda hoped she wouldn't realize it. Having anything in common with that little demon was probably the biggest insult he'd ever received. BUT. No time to fret.

Suddenly, he was in the water.
It took Edric a second to realize what had just happened, as he surfaced from the water, completely soaked and surrounded by ducks.

That-- that little hag!

Edric opened his mouth to say something, but suddenly he stopped, remaining motionless for a very brief second before beginning to flail around in a panic, his arms splashing around and scaring off the nearby ducks.

"I-- I can't swim!" he managed to shout out between gasps of air. "MURDER!!! MURDERER!!!" He disappeared under the water for a panicked second, his arms going in all directions, trying to keep afloat.

The boy was frantic. Could he not s— oh. OH. OH! Alice was going to be in so much trouble if anyone found out that she had pushed a boy into the Pond and he had nearly drowned. But, the scene was so funny, and she couldn't help but laugh at the boy flailing his arms in the water. The ducks were quacking, the boy was flailing and screaming. And Alice was laughing. Heh. He was so dramatic. This wasn't murder, because she was going to save him.

So. After having her fun, the lioness pulled off her coat and dove into the Pond. Oh lord, the water freezing. Even so, she located the flailing boy and held his wrist dragging him up to surface and out of the water. She then pulled herself out of the Pond and sat, teeth chattering and body shivering, on the edge.

"D-do you know wh-what's g-going to happen n-now?" Alice chattered. "You're g-going to t-tell everyone I w-was a hero and saved you wh-when you fell into the P-pond. And h-how awesome I am." Well. She wads awesome. And a hero. And saved the boy. So that sentence was true, anyways. "And if y-you don't, I can always p-push you back in. Or t-tell everyone about how y-you looked and screamed l-like a little girl when you w-were in there." She flashed the boy a pearly white grin. She liked blackmailing. And threatening. But did this sound threatening in a little girl's voice?

Either way. Scrooge had finally met his match.

"I didn't lose it," he said grumpily. Did he look like someone who would just carelessly misplace his wand? No.

That didn't help his mood. "Kennedy threw it into the bloody lake." Milton glared. Stupid Prefect. And that was after he'd already been hexed and knocked to the ground. Which was extremely embarrassing, so he kept that part to himself. Then he mumbled something under his breath that sounded an awful lot like 'Iwannariphisheadoff'.

Dylan watched the two speak...There didn't seem to be anything amiss. Daichi obviously looked to be wreck about something...and he knew his girlfriend was the type to be there for her friends. It was just who she was...and a reason Dylan liked her so much.

He wasn't the overly jealous type, anyway. Indiana had lots of friends, guys and girls alike...just like he did. So...to someone that didn't really know what was going on (because he obviously didn't), it looked harmless...until his Quidditch mate grabbed her hand.

*some blinking going on...STARE*

What was this?

Absolutely needing to move a bit closer...Dylan crept forward, covering himself with more greenery and foliage. When he'd gotten near enough to hear actual conversation...he caught the very last thing his housemate said...

"Indy, do you want to go out with me?"

*blink, blink, blink, blink, blink*

*STARE*

The Slytherin was obviously too stunned to move...or really think anything other than...

What. Is. GOING. ON?

Indiana was quite confused. Rather quite confused. Daichi had never been like this around her at all. At all. They were good friends. Or so she had thought so anyway. Maybe she'd been wrong. Because Daichi was acting really weird now. Darn. Why wouldn't he just tell her what was going on. It was annoying. Come on dude. You can tell us. We're you're friend.

And now even the stuff he was saying was weird. He was calling her amazing. Indy knew that really only Dylan should probably be telling her that. Out of guys anyway. Oh. That was why Daichi was saying that. Because he liked her. Indy's eyes kind of widened. What were the chances that she wouldn't have two boys liking her. But. Dylan. She'd already said yes to Dylan. And even Indy knew going out with two boys was not good. Especially not two boys that we're slytherins.

"Daichi..." Indy sighed, looking at their joined hands. She already knew she was going to say no. Hello. She already had a boyfriend, and she was not stupid. The blonde sighed, looking at the floor for a few moments, before looking up at him. She frowned a little, pulling her hands from his gently. "I've got a boyfriend..."

Edric allowed the annoying blonde girl to drag him out of the water, trying his best to be as patient as possible. She was taking FOREVER. Gawd, he didn't weigh that much, did he? She was just a weakling. As soon as he was back on dry ground, he sat up, looking unaffected by the cold temperature (he loved the cold), as the girl stammered out her threats and blackmailing deals.

"Don't be stupid," started Edric, getting up to his feet. He pulled out his wand and placed a drying charm on his soaked robes. "No one's going to believe you 'cause who'd believe an awful thing like you?" And, without further ado, he brought his tippy toes up and poked the girl's back… push.

Off the edge of the pond and back into the water she went.

"Thanks for the rescue, though." NOT.

And then she was wet. Again.

The boy had pushed her into the lake?! OH. He was going to get it now!

Alice grabbed the bloke's ankle and pulled until he fell forwards into the water He. Who cared if he couldn't swim? She could pretend she didn't know that when asked. Plus, it couldn't be held against her, since he had pushed her in as well. She held her self up, being sure to paddle under the water so that the boy couldn't copy her movements. "I'd rather believe a little person like me than an old bloke like you. Who's mean. And can't even swim," Scoff.

This wasn't too bad. Plus, it was fun watching him flail. Heh.

As he dared to look in to Indy's eyes he noticed that they had widened a bit. It probably came as a shock to her as much as it did to him. Joao had been right, he just had to go with the flow. His other hand went in to the pocket where the bracelet was hidden and with a small smile he waited for her answer.

He heard the bushes close by rustle but didn't think anything of it. It was probably just a cute little duck wandering around. And for the first time, Daichi had no eyes for the ducks. They were only set on Indy.

And then... she was pulling away. That wasn't supposed to happen right? She was supposed to lean forward..not...not pull away. Confusion was written on the Slytherin's face as she said those words. "b-boyfriend?" The hand in his pocket tightened around the bracelet and his hand shook. He then pulled his hand out of his pocket without taking the bracelet out. "Who?"

This was truly and utterly embarrassing. Why did he not know she already had a boy friend? She..she didn't have one the last time they spoke..had she? Daichi tried to think back but nothing popped up in his mind. "I-i'm sorry"

This really was not what Indiana had expected at all. Two boys liked her. Which felt odd to her. A month ago she hadn't even known what it felt like to have even one boy liking you. Now she had two. It made Indy feel bad actually. Because obviously she was going to hurt one of them, and she already knew who it was. She already had a boyfriend. She couldn't have another one. Indy frowned a little, looking down at Pink Ted. Help? She didn't want to hurt Daichi. He was her friend. But then she was thinking. It wasn't her fault that he was asking her now. She didn't know he liked her. So she was okay to go get another boyfriend.

"Yeah..." She said quietly, still looking down at her feet. As his next words, she looked up, seeing the braclet. He'd brought her something too? Oh dear. This was not good. "Dylan..." Hence the slytherin jumper really. This was not going to go good at all. Not when she told Dylan. She had to tell him. She couldn't lie to him.

She blinked. Why was Daichi the one saying sorry. "I should be saying sorry Daichi..." But then. She wasn't sorry? She liked Dylan, and had every right to go out with him. Daichi was just too late.

Dylan tried to remain completely still behind the greenery...but truth be told...he was just too angry. There was no way people didn't know about he and Indy. They went almost everywhere together...In fact, they were almost always together! If his housemate was using "I didn't know" as an excuse, the kid must have lived under a rock.

Really.

Of course, the Slytherin couldn't stop the wide obnoxious smirk that took his face when Indy told Duck Boy. That's right, buddy. She's MY girlfriend.

Yes, it was a rather cocky thing to think...but Dylan was proud to have Indy...and the fact that someone was disrespecting him in such a pointed way...concerning HIS girlfriend...Well, it made him want to break dear-Daichi's jaw. Housemate or not.

But first...Yes, yes...First...he'd need to be sending an owl...

"Dylan".. he knew that guy. Well, he didn't really know him but being in the same Quidditch team you had to know their names at least "he's...a good Quidditch player.." he mumbled and looked down at his hands.

This whole scene was not how he had pictured it in his mind. He had thought that Indy would have said yes and they'd be happily ever after, you know that cheezy stuff. But reality was cruel and it was as if someone had casted dark stormy clouds over his head.

He placed the bracelet that was wrapped around his hand back in to his pocket and sighed. She already had a boyfriend, there was nothing he could do. Unless said boyfriend froze like the other stu--. Ugh, why was he even thinking that!

Besides, if Dylan did get frozen than he was pretty sure that Indy would be sad and even though he felt as if someone had ripped his heart out and stomped on it, he wanted to see the girl he liked happy. "I..i hope you two ..." he couldn't finish his sentence as he choked back a sob. No, why was not going to cry! not in front of Indy.

Holding it in, Daichi did a step backwards and bowed his head. "I'm going now.." he announced as he looked at Indy with an almost unreadable expression. His normally twinkly eyes were blank and it seemed as if he didn't even care anymore. Though, inside his mind it was as if a whole crowd of different emotions were fighting over who could go first.

Without a second look, he turned and walked back to the castle. Not even looking at the ducks in the pond.
