Aldous was EXCITED to find out where the next destination was. This was so cool he did not want the lesson to end. And his excitement only got fueled when they were out on the grounds. Fun things happened outside! It was a rule everyone knew it. The little kid was practically sprinting to keep up with the group, his legs were short and he did not want that to delay him and cause him to arrive last. He did not want to miss out on anything.

And they arrived apparently, because the professor stopped. Aldous followed suit and immediately started looking around and scanning the place. Cool setting. And the professor was talking, the Ravenclaw gave the man his undivided attention.

GAME! This was gonna be fun.

The moment in which the professor finished explaining, Aldous was ready and had already pulled out his wand and threw the stash over his shoulder. Now it was time to turn himself invisible. "Disillusio!" Nothing. Darn. When was he going to succeed at the first attempt? The Ravenclaw sighed, took a deep breath. He needed to calm down, lower his heart rate and FOCUS. After a minute or so, he raised his hand and placed the wand above his head then started moving it in a circle, "Disillusio," He uttered. YESSS! Awesome! Look how super cool he looked invisible. Well, technically no one could see because he was invisible. His father was going to get a very long letter. Even longer than the one after the astronomy lesson and the flying.

For now, he needed to stay alert to not get tagged but instead tag some people. Hmm. It was not going to be easy since the place here is vaster than the broom closet. But Aldous liked a challenge.

Following the Professor and the group of students to the next location, Yoongi kept wondering whether his hiding place in the broom closet had been that good or if no one had bothered to look for him. He was also sulking a bit because everyone found each other and he had been invisible the whole time up until they left the closet.

So on one hand, he wanted to be invisible because that meant he had done the spell correct and was difficult to find. But on the other hand, he got annoyed the longer it took to find him. As they arrived, the Gryffindor looked around at the landscape. The ruins in the back, the trees , grass, moss. It looked like a perfect photoshoot place! But of course they weren't here to take pictures of him, they never were. Sigh.

He listened to the instructions and then grabbed a sash for himself. He put it over his shoulder and grabbed his wand. "Disillusio!" he muttered and waved his wand over his body , making it seem invisible. He wasn't going to hide this time , he was going to tag as many people as he could. He checked if everything was invisible and then walked to the stone ruin at the back. It was luckily not that high so he climbed on it and lay on his stomach, observing the surroundings, waiting for leaves to crunch or seeing a shadow near a wall.

Circe take him now.

He thought they'd gotten over this spell thing for the lesson. The boy wasn't sure how many times he could cheat the system before it turned around and bit him--like his wand did all the time for no reason. This...wasn't a small closet anymore, it was a large area of forest and ruined wall and trees and sun light. HOW DID YOU GET RID OF THE SUN????

There were probably spells for that but they would likely be large scale and therefore woefully out of his league.

Alright then.

So this was basically a game of the hunter and the hunted. Blaise....was not the hunter. Why? Because he couldn't cast spells to reveal anyone then mightily TAKE their sash. At the same time, he would be no one's prey. How did one go about making sure they weren't a target? Easy, by making themselves less desirable under the circumstances than everyone else. That being the case the boy removed his sash, folded it and pocketed it. Now he was no longer someone to find and he would take further steps to ensure this in a minute.

Okay they were outside in an unfamiliar portion of the grounds. Benny was trying to quickly take stock of the situation and location as they moved with Professor Dakest to the spot that he claimed they would be for the rest of the class. Got it. He paused in place as he listened to the rest of the instructions for the actitivity, the hide and seek tag that had been planned for them all. Sashes...disillusionment...hiding...anything and everything that would possibly done by him and his classmates to complete it to the man's satisfaction.
Well except for certain spells to cause harm. Benny was perfectly okay with that.

He gathered his sash and put it on before taking one more look around. Then with a focused "Disillusio!" aimed at himself with the ribbon like movement around his body he prepared. The Gryffindor doublechecked that he was all gone before setting out to be hidden before he made any other moves.

Following the Professor man, the young lioness didn't say anything when they moved to the next destination. She was just too excited! And it seemed like they wouldn't go back to the class since the Professor man headed out to the ground...

Wait, where were they? She'd never been to this place before.

It seemed like Professor Dakest had prepared this place specially just for them. Woohooo!!! Time for hide and seek again? Merlin, this was why she didn't want to skip the class even she was injured. Once she listened to the Professor's explanation, Ava then gathered her sash and started disillusioned herself. "Disillusio!!!" Was she invisible enough? She checked on herself. Great.

Now it's time to hide. Darn it, if her shoulder wasn't injured she could climb the tree and hide there. She tried to find other spot and it seemed behind the bushes was such a great place.

Soooo this was a MUCH better activity. Mhmmm. Outside and a game of Hide and Seek awaiting them. Talk about taking the game to a whole new level. Sort of. Hehe. Anyway, Adi collected a yellow sash and tied it around his hand. This would keep him from loosing it and not allowing it to be a distraction.

"Disillusio!" Cue the appropriate wand movement and we had one chameleon, seventh year Hufflepuff. Excellent! Now to try to find someone. Keeping close to the rocks and as much as possible away from his classmates (until he selected a victim target, he observed. Observation was a good place to start, yes? he would do just that.

Woooooooah. Norah tore her eyed from the scenery to try and focus on Professor Dakest. Sashes and hide and seek and spells. It didn't sound too out of the box, especially compared to the time he'd tried to get her into a maze to cast patronuses on things. But she didn't want to think about that one. Once he'd finished the explanation, she retrieved a sash with a small smile in his direction. FOR HUFFLEPUFF, yeah?

She watched a few other students disillusion themselves, squinting to try and make out where they stood. Apparently she wasn't that good at squinting, 'cause here she was, still unable to see the invisible people. LAME. So much for being a particularly good finder. Norah held her wand out in front of her and trotted over to one set of bushes near where Ava had been standing before she went all invisible and couldn't be seen anymore. "Finite!" She cast at random. Aiming at different spots along the row of bushes, she tried a few more times. "Finite! Finite. Finite. FINITE!" That ought to reveal something over there, right?

Okay, so the moment his fellow students Disillusioned themselves, Adi found it hard to keep track of them. Obviously. They blended in with their surroundings. He then decided to hop onto one of bigger stones so he took his time in doing so. Maybe from high up he could spot some give aways?

Ugh!

It was toooooo quiet. Not even a sound of a twig cracking, stones tumbling or rustle of leaves (save for the wind). Staying at one place was NO FUN. Adi jumped down from the stone, making quite a bit of noise on purpose. But it was too late for anyone who came to investigate for already he was carefully making his way unknowingly towards Yoongi.

Adi stopped a few paces from his, listening. All he could hear was the breeze. Hmph. He swung his eyes here and there looking for any disturbances in the surroundings but so far nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Since all was so quiet, he decided to take matters into his own hands. ''Homenum Revelio!'' Ahh, the advantages of being able to cast non verbal spells... no one could hear him.

So here was the thing. Blaise Bellaire did not like failure. Blaise Bellaire was not going to attempt a spell that he would fail at. Nope. The little boy walked around aimlessly. It worked well in the closet, no one noticed him despite being perfectly visible. Right now no one bothered to notice him and so he went behind a tree then meandered around another...and another.

Somewhere between the trees and fallen logs, the young Gryffindor dropped his sash and covered it up carefully. Then walked back into the open. Right there. Where anyone could see him....without a sash.

By all indications he looked like he'd already been de-sashed and he stuck his hands comfortably in his pockets. This was the real way to hide, out in the open as if he wasnt hiding at all--in fact Blaise leaned against one of the diagonal fallen tree trunks and watched his quill scribble what little it could see.

It was just as interesting an experiment as the broom closet but on a wider scale.

Could he leave now?

As Professor Dakest explained the next activity, Paulina had to admit that she was rather underwhelmed. She wasn't in the mood to play hide and seek right now. She'd much rather play a game like they had in Charms class. That was less of a competition in her eyes.

Shrugging, she took her wand out once more, and cast Disillusio over herself making sure that even her shoes got covered. Now she was totally hidden. Smiling, she found herself a spot off to the side and took a seat on the grass by a rock.

Let's see if anyone can find her now.

After doing their activity in the broom closet, I guess that was practice because now they were going out into a field. This was wicked and Colt was all about this. He had more open land to hide now. He smirked to himself and had his wand at the ready. Time to make himself invisible. He waved his wand over himself and casted, "Disillusio" and concentrated and looked down and didn't even see his shoes. Woaahhh this was trippy. He was now looking for a place to hide and was on the alert to not bump into anyone.

He found a tree that he could hide in for now. He wondered if he should climb it? Nah the branches looked kind of weak. That wouldn't hold him. He got out from the tree because he thought it was an obvious spot. He found some place by the ruins and hid there for a bit.

This.

This was sooo much better then the broom closet! As the rules and instructions were being given the fourth year snake was already scoping out her surroundings. She needed a plan of action and the perfect spot to keep away from others yet be able to both see and tag anyone that came her way. The obvious answer would have been the stone ruins but she knew most everyone would be going that way. Not her.

Accepting her green sash Hady slid it over her head and around one arm. Once it was in place and she was sure it wouldn't fall at all she was ready to continue. A flick of her wrist landed her wand firmly in her grasp and with the proper coiling movement around herself she recited the incantation quietly, "Disillusio" It worked perfectly and she was unseeable.

Having yet to move from where they all started she waited a brief moment to listen to everything around her. Footsteps. Breathing. Muttering charms or spells being cast. Then as quietly as she could Hady carefully picked her way through the area off towards the stream near a small area of thin trees. Selecting a tree close to the water she knelt down quietly and waited before the tree. The idea was to be in a spot tucked between the trees where most of the older mates couldn't get into as well as to stay still and down low that way if anyone did happen to look her way, they'd be looking over her head.

Now all she had to do was wait.

So basically they were playing hide and seek tag? Ok, Caleb could get on board with this! As everyone madly scrambled around him, he waited until some of the crowd thinned out before taking out his wand and taking a deep breath. He could do this, and hopefully just slip through this whole thing undetected and totally win this whole thing!

"Disillusio!" he exclaimed, taking his wand and moving it above his head as he did so. There was that weird feeling, like something dripping down his bag...ugh, that was awful, NOT a fun feeling! But then he looked down at his feet and saw that they were gone - blended in to the ground and the area around him. SWEET!

Now off to go find a good hiding spot...hmm. There was a big rock over there. That was a good place to start!

Right, so this was all about hide-and-go-seek... with sashes. Davie nodded as the professor gave out the instructions, starting to feel nervous because he hadn't quite mastered the spell yet. Still, he was good at hiding, really good at hiding outdoors, and was confident he could probably survive this. Maybe Ravenclaw would even WIN this in-class competition for once!

Maybe. Once his sash was on, the little boy was off, darting off to find some high rocks to hide behind and practice his spell on. All he really needed to do was make his sash invisible so no one would try to take it from him, right?

With that as his theme, Davie diligently concentrated on casting disillusio on his sash. Disillusio, disillusio, disillusio, "disillusio!" He DID IT! Finally! Davie couldn't see his sash on himself at all! YESSSSSS! Now to make his head invisible...

This entire activity made not a single bit of sense to Daxton. Not in a literal sense; he was not an idiot, he heard the instructions and knew what they were supposed to do and what the aim of the activity was, but... why?

Why the weird game? Why the 'teamwork'? Why the tagging?

At first Daxton had been nonplussed as to what was meant by tagging, thinking it to mean to sort of price tags often found on certain things in shops, but that did not make much sense. It was not until he considered the hide-and-seek context of that game that he thought back to the stupid, pointless games the other kids used to play at his school, and how they would run around chasing one another, every so often hitting each other and screaming 'tag', thus changing the dynamics of the game. Daxton had never actually played, had definitely never wanted to, and still did not want to today. Not only because 'tag' was stupid, but because he did not want anyone to touch him. At all.

He stared at the blue sash in his hand, and then at Dakest. This was stupid, he was being set up for failure, and he did not trust that he could even try and sit out the activity on the sidelines (whatever was considered the sidelines), without another student trying to slam themselves into him or something else of the sort.

Daxton shoved the sash down his school shirt at once, keen to get it out of sight as quickly as possible. If nobody could see it, they would have no legitimate reason to bodily tackle him to the floor for it or something equally as unpleasant. He considered his next set of options for a moment; sit out the activity and hope everyone left him alone, wander off and find a hiding place to wait out the activity but risk someone tagging him, or make it abundantly clear that he was not playing this game. In the end, he went for the latter. There was a time for dealing with problems creatively and using logic to overcome issues, but sometimes self-preservation took precedence, and Daxton knew exactly which of those applied here.

Without waiting a moment longer, he approached the nearest set of ruins and scrambled his way up them, nimbly climbing to the top of the highest one, a feat made easier by the fact that he was barefoot and not impeded by useless shoes. Once up there, Daxton straightened and surveyed the area, the exact opposite of hidden and invisible. He drew his wand; maybe it was true that he could not cast any official spells yet, but he was able to wordlessly zap people. A last line of defence for anyone that tried to touch him and tag him.

And hopefully, they would not. Daxton had made extra sure that he was very blatantly in sight, not hidden, not playing, and sashless as far as anyone could tell. He was of no use to anyone trying to collect sashes and practice revealing invisible people, and he wanted to make that abundantly clear.

Interestingly enough, from up here Daxton could see a few students hidden away, or on their way to it. That could have worked in his favour, had he any desire to run around collecting sashes. As it was, he did not, and so he stayed exactly where he was, pacing the top of the ruins and keeping his senses alert to anyone nearby. The threat of physical contact had put him on high alert. He did not care about trying to make himself invisible.

Running around being invisible was more fun than squishing in next to people you couldn't see, but that you could definitely smell. Dot tied her scarf firmly around her waist as a belt before stalking out into the middle of the ruins. She needed a likely place to hide out and watch for signs of approaching invisible runners, because Merlin knew that Gryffindors didn't have enough sense to lay low.

Oh, right. She better get invisible before hiding, or else what was the point? She pointed her wand at herself and spoke the incantation clearly, "Disillusio." And her arms... gone. Torso... gone. Legs... going, going... and gone. Perfect. "Catch me if you can, goon squad!"

Good squad? Really, Dot? Trash talk?

She scuttled over to a pair of stone steps with a narrow alcove behind it. That would do nicely for watching, and no one could sneak up behind her. Hopefully no one heard the goon squad bit.

Okay! So now they were somewhere else... in ruins?? And they were going to play a game of hide and seek.... easy enough. Noelle was surprised she could concentrate on what he was saying.

Future husband.

Daydreaming, about said future life, Noelle had to snap herself out of it because people were yelling disillusio and here she was right out in the open. Ducking behind a wall, Noelle grabbed her wand and cast her spell. "Disillusio!!" Instant success on the trousers. Okay now time for the rest. "Disillusio!!!" She yelled for every piece of garment. She was of course trying not to miss one piece. She found when she did her whole body... parts were visible.

Okay... now to hide... and go seek.

Whoa.

What was this place?! And where was DOT?! Kate had to admit that she sort of felt safer with the older Slytherin around. The girl seemed willing to help people, and Kate wasn't feeling very confident in herself right now. Who would when she had just worn a mop bucket as a hat to camouflage herself, pretty much?

Meh.

Kate attached the blue sash and gripped her wand in her hand. She should really disappear before somebody tagged her before she even got started. Kate did a quick mental review of the spell Dot had taught her. Okay, okay. She thought she had it. Ready...and...

"Disillusio!" she said, making the correct wand movements along with that incantation. She squeezed her eyes shut, afraid to look, but when she opened them again, she saw that the spell had worked!

You know when you stood up for too long and your legs started cramping? That was happening right now. The boy shook his legs a few times to wake them up while his quill scribbled away at the positions people had taken up to hide before disillusioning themselves.

With them properly awoken, Blaise flopped to the floor, legs crossed in full view of the Professor and continued watching his classmates disappear all around him.

He caught Daxton scaling the wall and taking a stance there and gave him something of a salute then turned to watch his classmates again. They were the interesting sort that all decided to go hiding instead of seeking each other--which worked even better for him he supposed. With everyone so busy hiding themselves, there was no one to really care about him sitting there.

When he could no longer see anyone, he ushered the notepad in front of him and began going through the embellished notes. Might as well catch up on a good story. With no one seeking, this was gonna be a LOOOONNNGGG class.

In fact, Brooklyn hadn’t disillusioned herself before the lesson had moved on to the next location. She’d figured that she’d get to soon enough, seeing as it appeared the lesson wasn’t over. That the broom closet had only been a practice activity, and as they’d walked out into the grounds, she had remembered the Charms lesson when they’d played capture the flag. So to speak. That only grew as they arrived at an area of the forest she didn’t know existed. It was entirely possible it hadn’t existed before now, and she did a quick check for spiders before she joined the group listening to the instructions for the new activity. Not capture the flag, it seemed, but capture the sash.

She wasn’t about to get her sash taken from her. That was decided from the start. She’d gone up and collected a green one from the bag, however, tying it around her securely before she headed off away from the cluster of students. She wasn’t about to advertise where she was planning on hiding, after all. That was the quickest way to get caught. Once she was clear, though, she took her wand out and traced around herself like she’d done before. “Disillusio!” Once she was certain she’d vanished from the eyesight of the others, she looped around behind the ruins the professor was seated on. Everyone else was going for the other rocks and bushes, she’d noticed. Or using the wall as a vantage point. It was practically hiding in plain sight, especially if she hid almost right underneath where the professor was sitting. If anything, she was hoping nobody would risk hitting him.

Janelle followed the professor until the reached a very interesting place on the grounds. It appeared to be some old ruins and she was definitely not familiar with this area. Janelle listened as their activity was explained. Hide and Seek with a bit of a twist. Interesting.

Janelle went up and got her sash. Then she took out her wand and waved it around herself in a coiling motion. Concentrating, she said, "Disillusio". Before she knew it, Janelle's body had disappeaed and she was invisible once again. Now she had to find a good, no great place to hide. Since she could not be seen, Janelle took a moment to look around and survey her surroundings.

Making her way to one of the ruin walls, Janelle hid behind it. Hopefully, this wasn't the first place everyone would look. She wondered if she should have started out searching for the invisible students rather than being one, but oh well......what was done, was done. Perhaps she could do both at the same time. Janelle decided that she would use all of her senses to try to find her classmates, in the meantime. Keeping very still, she tried to listen for any sign of movement nearby. Periodically, she would peek around the wall to see if she could sense anyone near. She was determined not to be found, but if she could catch someone else while she hid, it would be great.

The problem with hiding was that no one seemed to be doing much seeking. Everyone else was hiding too, and now the whole place was stymied. Stuck. Quiet. Dot would get to keep her sash, but the game would last until she had gray hair. There was nothing for it... she was gonna have to do something else.

Like maybe... set a trap! Yes!

Dot tugged her sash!belt free, checking that it was still as invisible as she was. Yup, all clear. Tying one end to the open railing at the bottom of the steps, Dot reached an invisible arm out to secure the other end. And now her sash was a trip wire, and any invisible person who ran up these steps was gonna fall on their noggin and get caught by Dottie G.

She was a genius.

YES not a broom closet. Zander was PUMPED. Honestly he wasn't really sure where they were... He was paying more attention to the rules of the game. Because whatever the rules were Gryffindor was going to WIN. He'd make absolutely sure of it. Meaning that wait a minute... He had to get a move on already!! Uh. Wait. What was the spell for becoming invisible?

Ah, yes.

"Disillusio!!" This time he made sure to check to see if everything was completely invisible. And he STILL missed the shoes. How even? Luckily this time he was at least paying attention. So with a second "disillusio," he was able to fix that up quickly so that the entire rest of him was invisible too.

Then he grabbed a sash and began running.

It'd be much harder for someone to catch him while he was running. Forget this whole hiding thing. Zander was going for the more active approach. It was FULL PROOF.
