GAAAAAAAAAH!

Kurumi shut her eyes tight upon arriving in the next room and ended up stumbling around quite a bit. That's it. This proved it even more. Professor Scabior was trying to kill them ALL! He was going to make them go blind in this room and then pick them off in the next one if they were fortunate enough to be able to read the clue.

Slowling opening her eyes, the Gryffindor ended up shutting them every now and again until her eyes adjusted and she could kind-of-sort-of make out the clue. Shoot...what had the previous answer been again?! THE BLINDING COLOR OF THE ROOM HAD MADE HER FORGET.

Recomposing herself, Kurumi scribbled down the answer on her parchment Kurumi took a step and...

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH!"

WHY WAS SHE FLOATING?!

O__O BLUE. Merlin's beard! Blink.Blink. Ella was pretty sure she was going blind, only that wasn't allowed, yeah? Blinding the students. She wouldn't put it past Professor Scabior, though. He was def still mad at her and Theoman about the train!

Focusing on the neon writing, Ella read the riddle and O___O She was starting to float! TO FLOAT? UH-OH.

WHAAAAA?

She rapidly tried to sort out the riddle, thinking of the ghosts she knew. Well the fool part was easy enough to get so that was a good hint. And she only knew of one ghost who could contain that "fool." Scribble Scribble Scribble.

Alex barely had time to register what was happening before he started to float in to the air...all he knew was that there was BLUE, and a lot of blue, and it hurt his eyes. A LOT. Now he had to worry about the fact that he was rising in to the air and he had a sudden crazy thought that maybe Scabior had just killed them all and now they were ghosts. No, that was silly! This had to be a levitation spell or something. He hastily tried to get the parchment out of his pocket as he went higher and higher, losing sight of the words as he tried to read them. He hastily tried to stop himself by wailing his arms and trying to catch ahold of something on the wall, but there was nothing to grab!! As he rose, he tried again to read the words and caught most of them..."first"..."dime"..."hey"...EEP! This was so hard!!!

Fantastic! Max beamed with delight as the third room allowed him entry. He hurried inside, gave an involuntary jolt at the overwhelming blue, but pressed forward and ran straight for the next door, wanting to be one of the first to read the riddle, when... his feet left the ground. He was RISING? "Scabior," Max gave a quick hiss, doing his best to peer at the riddle and take out another piece of parchment as he rose.

Though he was still rising and the mail slot was going to be tough to reach soon, Max caught what he thought were the key words as he gave a quick read-through. But was he right?! He scribbled on his parchment, his expression angry.

This wasn't a fun game anymore.

Why were the door and the riddle surrounding it suddenly getting further and further away? Vivi barely had time to strain her eyes in trying to read it before she realized that she had to HURRY UP and get her riddle turned in. She scrambled for her bag, dropped her quill, and finally managed to tug out a bit of parchment.

Where was that... quill?

A-ha! Vivi could no longer reach her quill, although it was just.... out of reach. "Anyone want to hold me down? Please? Or loan me a quill?"

After a few minutes of flailing around helplessly, Alex figured out that if he tried to...sort of...SWIM through the air, he could stop himself from rising JUST for a second. He turned so that he was facing the floor, despite the fact that it was a TERRIFYING view from way up here, and tried to do the butterfly stroke and propel himself towards the door. Ok, he could read more of the riddle now...

Based off the riddles in the last two rooms, it was very easy for him to figure this one out, especially when he got to the part about wringing in a fool. That made him sure he was right.

He pushed himself towards the wall and hastily used it to prop up his parchment so he could scribble his answer on it. Then, using his air-swimming technique, he made his way to the slot and finally got there a few minutes later. Now his arm muscles were KILLING him, and he waited anxiously for it to let him in and accept his answer.

So….How was she meant to get this to the slot? O__O She kept floating upwards and she was getting farther away from the slot every minute! MEEP! Seriously?! This was NOT cool, Bro.

Folding up the parchment, the small blonde did her best to make her way over to the slot quickly, before she floated TOO high up. She made a sort of swimming motion as she went, trying not to bump people...though she totally did. "Sorry!" She squeaked, as she floated into an older boy. She totally couldn't be blamed for that, either. BLAME SCABIOR! Nod. Anndddd she slowly but surely made her way towards the slot. Hey! This was kinda like Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory! Yeah! When they floated in that fizzy room! That was just a tiny tiny bit cool. BUT ONLY A LITTLE. Reaching out her fingers, the badger justtttttt barely managed to get her answer into the slot before she got too high up.

Flailing. Kurumi was definitely flailing now that she was FLOATING in the air. Completely disoriented now, Kurumi tried to somehow swim her way towards a wall so she could turn herself right-side-up since she was pretty sure that she was now right-side-down and sort of smashed herself against the BLINDING blue wall.

Okay, now WHERE was the mail slot thing now? Squinting, Kurumi glanced around the room and all the other floating students and tried to position herself so she could kick off the wall once she found the mail slot. OH! There is was! Shifting her body a bit more, Kurumi squatted against the wall and then PUSHED off with all her might to hopefully just send her shooting across the room and right towards the mail slot. Only problem? She was moving to fa---


*SMACK*

Kurumi quite literally face planted into the wall and her arm sort of turned in an awkward position that made it hard to slip her answer into the mail slot. Unsmashing her face for a moment, Kurumi managed to do so and then pushed away from the wall to floooooooat away.

Someone else could smash into the wall now...yep.

Max was certain the riddle was probably easy if he had been able to read it properly, but only a few of the phrases registered in his mind. He had to get it right on the first try, didn't he? Otherwise... he'd probably be too high to answer again. Though he took a split second to ponder two answers, he had decided on one after catching quick sight of the "wringing in the fool" line, scribbled it with his self-inking quill, and dove forward to shove it through the mail slot on the door.

In the same diving move to rid his parchment through the door(in which he managed to bump his head against the door itself but succeeded in sticking the parchment through the slot), he tossed his quill up to his house and yearmate, Vivi.

Good thing he had a spare.

No? NO help? And there were GRYFFINDORS in this room? How rude.

Vivi jerked out another quill, albeit one that was nubby and splatted a bit when it wrote, and she kicked out her legs to get closer to the wall. Using that as a hard surface for writing, Vivi scratched down a blotty, inky answer.

Now she just had to get down to the slot, which was challenging without anything to use as a grip. Grip...? Like in Defense, right? She tucked her parchment under one arm and cast a gripping spell on her hand. Using that hand, Vivi dragged herself down the wall until she could shove her paper through the slot in the door.

OH SWEET MERLIN! THE LIGHT! IT WAS BLINDING!!!!!! How the heck did Professor Scabior expect them to answer the riddle if they couldn't even see the stupid thing! Emmanuelle wished her watering eyes would hurry up and adjust, because the waiting was hurting her head. Literally, she could feel a headache forming right behind her eyes. Not pleasant. At all. And how exactly was she supposed to solve a riddle with a headache?! Guess she just had to try, huh?

Finally, her eyes adjusted and she could SEE. Now, where was that stupid riddle? She look around for a bit, before finally finding it around the door. She wasn't really in the right position to see the riddle where she was, so she lifted her foot to take a few steps closer.......

......... then suddenly she was floating.

"What even.......?!"

Jory instantly covered his eyes with his hands. It was so BLINDING. And apart from that, his eyes had hurt despite the little exposure.

He slowly opened back his eyes to find the riddle which he read quickly. He needed to ponder briefly for this one. The light made him confused and his head hurt now. He hurriedly wrote his answer down and was about to place it through the slot when he suddenly realised he was rising off the ground.

What was going on?

Sarah's eyes took a few seconds to adjust to the bright blueness. Once she did, she looked at the riddle, while she was thinking however, she felf herself slowly rising!
"What!" she said. It was hard for her to think straight, yet she tried to concentrate on the riddle.
She read it over twice, by that time however she was almost level with the mail slot.

Her blue was a beautiful color and she was pretty proud of her house color but this.. just.. no. It was ugly and blinding and WHAAOOO! She felt herself floating slowly, her torso tilting forward with the weight of her head. Not to mention her parchment slipping away from her hand but she quickly flailed her arm and snatched it back.

Okay, okay. This was Scabior being creepy and enjoying the students' misery. No problem, she could handle it like the others did. She just needed a wall to push herself against toward the message. Louisa used parts of the floating students' bodies in order to get to the other side of the room and closer to one of the walls. No time for gentleness and sorrys, they were on a survival mission.

Trying not to panic, the Puff tried to find the slot of the door so he could stick his parchment in. But the fact he was off the ground made it hard and the lights didn't help one bit.

He fought towards the door by clinging onto the walls. He was gonna fall...or so he thought but he just banged his head into the door. "Ouch!'' he exclaimed rubbing his head. "Stupid lights...'' Jory felt about for the slot and finally finding it, he shoved the parchment through even though he wasn't sure of the answer he had written down.

She managed to grab her quill and parchment in one hand and started pushing herself against the wall with the other. She wasn't so high up yet but she couldn't bring her feet down to the ground either, it was only when she approached the door and the message that she took notice of the mail slot getting further away from her.

KJFDGHDFL. She MUST hurry up, she could see Vivi and Max already giving their answers. Louisa stared at the message again, trying to focus so hard on giving an absolute answer instead of thinking about her floating self and the hand pressed strongly against the wall. It was fairly easy, considering they used puzzles to get into their common room so she fumbled with the parchment, letting go off the wall, and scribbled down her answer.



She slipped the quill through her collar, but not all the way down, to keep it safe as she put the parchment in her mouth and made more use of her hands by grabbing the wall and diving for the mail slot. She bumped into some hovering kids around but the room wasn't AS crowded so it wasn't aggressive. It took only a couple more crawling in the air to reach the slot, with one swift motion she took the parchment from her lips and into the mail slot she pushed it.

It better be correct.

Sarah hastily scribbled done her answer, using her knee as a writing surface. She had to do it fast... Yet the speed made it messy, so Sarah wrote the answer again.

By now she was floating in the air, her belly button opposite the mail slot. There was no way she could get it in... Quickly she took out her wand and used the banishing spell to put the answer in the mailbox. It had worked!

Minerva walked into the room and stopped for her eyes to adjust. What in merlin's beard was going on here. Did Ravenclaws have a party or something, holy moly blue canoly. She looked around the room finding an even brighter blue neon door. Yikes was this getting weirder or what. Getting closer to it she tried to read the riddle, but it was just so blinding on that door.

And.. what was this.. her feet where not on the floor anymore.. What was going on, she was floating up, NO... she had to be near the door. Trying to hold herself in place with the wall she really wish she had the spidey gloves from Defense class. She looked back at the riddle again.

Laura was thinking of the riddle when suddenly her feet didn't touch the floor. "OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Laura screamed, seriously didn't the Professor realise she was scared of height. "PROFESSOR GET ME DOWN NOW!!!!!!!!!!" Laura just wanted to go over and sit in a corner somewhere and cry this wasn't a very nice trick.

Now that she was floating (), it was even harder to read the riddle. Which Emmanuelle guessed was the whole point. But still, couldn't Professor Scabior just have written in disappearing ink or something? Instead of blinding them and running the risk of someone getting vertigo or something? Anyway, she found the riddle again (having lost sight of it in the surprise floating) and thought it over, floating higher (x2) the entire time. An answer came to her, but unlike the first two riddles, she wasn't that confident in this one. Maybe cause her thought process was interrupted by the light and floating? She struggled around with her parchment, finally swim-floating over to a wall and placing her parchment against it. Using the wall as a desk, Em scribbled her answer down quickly. Then she looked around to see how others were getting over to the mail slot.

Deciding that the 'swimmers' had the best idea, she kicked off the wall and did her best butterfly stroke towards the door. Sure, it looked ridiculous, but it worked as she could see herself getting closer to the door. Finally she bumped into it (a little harder than she would've liked). She felt along the door, found the slot, slipped her parchment inside, and moved out of the way so that someone else could give it a go. She did remain near the door though, 'clinging' to the wall so that she would be ready in case she was right and the door opened for her.

Minerva was seriously floating higher.. this was not good. She quickly forced her eyes to focus and try to read the riddle again. One thing came to mind, but could it be that she wondered. Not wanting to go up any further she quickly wrote on her parchment:



Then with all her strength she pulled herself down the wall to the little slot and put her parchment in. "Please open.. please open... please open.." she said to herself, but hoping the door would hear her and open for her as well.

Well, this room was certainly different! Soo... much... blue! His eyes began watering immediately as he stared at the neon writing that he was supposed to be deciphering. This would be so much easier if it would just stay STILL! And that's when he realized that the writing wasn't moving. HE was moving! "WAAAA!" he yelled out of pure reaction. He was used to flying--with a broom. This? This was nuts!

He knew one thing. The sooner he figured out that riddle the sooner he could get out of here. Pao made giant swimming motions, hoping to inch closer to that writing so he could read it and get outta here!

Laura didn't like this idea at all, she wanted to be back on her own two feet, this was really starting to annoy her but she somehow managed to read the riddle and smiled she thought she knew the answer.



Laura was hoping that the door would open for her or she would be stuck in here, maybe forever she didn't know though.

As she entered the third room, she nearly fell backwards as she was blinded by the blue light. Where is that coming from? she wondered as she shielded her eyes. Peeking through her fingers, she saw that the next riddle was in bright blue lights near the door. She began to make her way towards it when she realized she was hovering in mid-air. What on Earth!? She tried to paddle her way closer to the riddle so that she could see it better.

Opposite of last answer...ok...Ohhh, okay. She pulled out her parchment and tried the best she could to write her answer legibly by flattening the paper on her knee. Now came the hard part of actually submitting it through the door. This might be tricky, she thought.
