Despite best efforts to the contrary, it is still quite cold in this area of the castle and rather drafty as you walk down the corridor towards the History of Magic classroom. You are not met with any music this time as you head to the door, but the same large "Make an Entrance" sign is still hanging outside the door in its usual place. It's up to you how you choose to interpret these words.
Once inside, you will find Professor Glendower standing at the front of the classroom, leaned up against her podium, cutting out paper snowflakes. She's wearing a wide smile, ready to welcome you as you come in and take a seat. It is slightly warmer than the corridor inside the classroom, but not by much. Professor Glendower has cast insulating charms around the area so at least it isn't snowing in here at the present moment and hopefully they'll hold up through the end of the lesson. The desk-arm chairs are again arranged in a semi-circle around the perimeter of the room and you might be pleased to find a peppermint humbug at each one.

Make an entrance? Man. Dima could do that just by WALKIN', k?
But since normal walking was for PUNY humans, Dima crabwalked his way through the threshold. 'Sup.
"Hi Professor!" He called out his greeting from the floor as he made haste toward his desk, arms getting floppier and floppier. His form was starting to suffer quote a bit, but Merlin, could you blame him? This entering like a cool person thing was sorta hard.
At least he'd made it to a seat.

Zahra had been standing outside in the corridor watching everyone enter... IT WAS SO MAGICAL! This class was MADE FOR HER. It was, in fact, the only class she was still willingly going to. There were PEOPLE FLIPPING, STRIPPING, and SETTING FIRE TO THINGS!
Right in the DOORWAY!
Lots of the Ravenclaws seemed to think they were too cool for entrances, Zahra noted. Merlin, could they be MORE BORING?
She was wishing she had a FLYING CARPET to ride in on, or a CAMEL... Or oh hey? You know what she needed. SOMEONE TO RIDE.
Time for History of Magic again! He was pumped for this class. He had an interesting time last lesson. As he made his way to the classroom, he read the sign on the top. He shrugged and to make a unique entrance he danced into the room. He did a little hustle and dougie. He was a pretty good dancer even when he was younger he loved to dance. He then heard a gryffindor ask for a ride in and Kace shrugged and volunteered! "Heyy I can give you a ride in!" he offered to her.
As he was finished, he greeted the professor. "Hello Professor! Nice Snowflakes you got there! Will we be making them today?" he asked curiously. He even eyed the pepper humbugs and took one. "Thank you.." he smiled and returned to his seat.
As he found his seat, he took out his quill and did some doodles until he heard the professor address them.

The third year was SUPER pink and SUPER embarresed. Welp. That's the last time he's going try juggling in front of anyone. Ever. Ever again. As he was getting himself together and reaching for the book that had fallen the furthest away, he noticed another hand reaching towards it. Simon? The Gryffindor broke into a smile at the sight of his mate, "Yeah, just... Made quite the entrance," he laughed. "I'm never going to try that again!" Juggling would be put away for a very long time. Especially with textbooks. "Thanks for the help, Simon!"

"HEY. SOMEONE GIVE ME A RIDE IN!"
Yeah. No. Marigold wasn't big on the "entrance" thing. She could just go unnoticed by seventh years and certain third year Slytherins, thank you very much. In fact, she was going to just wait until last second and slip in without anyone seeing and/or caring. Yeah. No making a fool of herself.
But then Zahra had to SHOW UP and RUIN hER PLAn ANd be ALL ExcitABLE and MAKE her WANT TO HELP MAKE AN ENTRANCE HUMPH[/fakeanger].
"Whaddya want me to do, Z?" Marigold said, trying to act casual about the fact that she had been lurking in the shadows a minute ago. A ride?
She started to make airplane noises softly, so she had some practice in.

Sophie stood in the doorway eyeing all the people going into class using some ridiculous method they'd come up with. She was just going to walk in. Yeah. She was going to do that. Toussaint was calling for somebody to haul her in, but no. Just no. Sophie Newell had caught sight of somebody ELSE and decided to enter with HIM instead.
She was just about to play the damsel in distress and fake faint into Grayson's arms, when he got so far ahead of her that he just...sat down. BOO. Moment lost.
So what now?
"AHH, COME ON, TOUSSAINT!" she said, and then she gestured for Zahra to get on her back. "Just take it easy, mmkay?" That girl was like a live wire ready to go off at any second.
Ugh, that sign was still there? Hazel had been hoping the professor would take it down, but nope. Yeah, she was not making an entrance. Professor Glendower was always open to interpretations, so she decided to interpret it as, "Just enter". She clutched her bag to her chest and made her way to an empty seat. Sitting back, she watched the others make there entrances. Yup, she was perfectly happy just watching.
Man where'd that Puffy go? HE WAS ALREADY SITTING DOWN! Hufflepuffs...Zahra was going to hit Kace in the back of the head with peas when she got into class later.
BUT NOW.... now she had another Hufflepuff AND a Slytherin BOTH offering a ride in? COOL.
Zahra looked between the two and quickly came to the conclusion of WHY NOT BOTH?
So Zahra threw an arm around MARI and SOPHIE SLYTHERIN's neck. "LIFT ME UP, GIRLS. HERE COME'S THE GRYFFINDOR! RAAWWRRRRRR!!!!!!"
Oh dear Merlin.. Not again. Did they really have to make another entrance? Simon stared at the sign. It appeared so. What would happen if he just waited outside for everyone to go in and then he could scurry in? Would he lose points if he didn't make an entrance? Probably. Taking a deep breath and relaxing, Simon prepared himself to make an entrance. It had to be awesome. But there wasn't any music this time.
Ooh. He knew what he could do.
He could pretend to be John Watson. That was an entrance, right?
Simon just went for it pushing the door open, he entered the classroom. He grinned from ear to ear and projected his voice. He even did the British accent which wasn't too hard to do, seeing that the accent was quite similar to a Melbourne accent."Hello Professor Glendower! How are you? Do we have a case to solve today? John Watson at your service. My companion, Mr Holmes, should be in here shortly," he grinned, as he even walked with the slightest limp. He should have found a stick and transfigured it into a cane. John Watson walked with a cane. Then he promptly went to go find a seat.
There was that good?

Ethan popped up his coat's collar and stood up straighter as he entered the classroom. “Greetings, Madam. I have seen the note on the notice board, and it seems that we do have a case to solve.” Ethan walked arrogantly like a king towards Simon and gave his Watson a nod. “Ah, good you’re here, Watson. We have another mystery to unravel.” He then sat beside his best mate and waited for the others to arrive.
Mental high fives for the epic entrance, Simon! Hehehehe.

If she had to pick a favorite part of class – and really, she couldn’t – Nessa might say it was watching the students arrive. She loved to see how their creative little minds interpreted her ‘make an entrance’ sign – from subdued to spectacular. She paused in her snowflake cutting as she noticed the first to arrive. Oh it was Simon and the young Slytherin received a beam as he walked in. Yes, she was starting to remember names after following Cosgrach’s advice to make notes by the roster names. The woman was just about to return his ‘hello,’ pausing as he continued. Watson.. Holmes.. ? Oh how delightful!
Nessa had to suppress a squeal as the two Slytherin boys play-acted as the great detective of lore and his invaluable assistant. Did they know how much she loved those stories?! ”Dr. Watson! Detective Holmes! How delightful to have you both here today,” Nessa simply beamed at them both and played along with their act. ”I am such a fan of both your work and am sure you’ll have no trouble solving the case today.” She gave them both a wink as they sat down then applauded a little. What a brilliant entrance and performance! Bravo!

AJ noticed the snowflakes the professor was cutting out and wondered where she was going with that.
"Hello professor." It seemed like she was one of the first ones there and that usually didn't happen. She plopped herself down and daydreamed about a fireplace and a cup of hot cocoa.
Ah, this one went with the literal entrance. Not quite as entertaining but interesting to see how one interpreted it all the same. One of the twins.. hmm. Nessa would go with Aubrey. She seemed the more outspoken of the two. “Hello, Aubrey,” she said with a happy smile as she finished a snowflake and tossed it onto the growing pile behind her. “Keeping warm, I hope.” She did feel bad about the temperature of her room, but she did the best she could.

The one thing Nigel will glad about is not having to sit in these really small desk seat things. Using magic to make them bigger was a pain. Being Tall was a curse and no the weather was exactly the same up here.
The Soon to be Graduate walked into his classroom making an entrance with his hair as usual. It was just too awesome not to make an entrance with. He did not whip his hair back and forth.
"Sup, Professor"
That was saved for alone time in front of his mirror and he wanted to use that word once in his time at Hogwarts.
So why not now.
Grabbing and folding up another piece of paper, Nessa started on cutting up another snowflake. Another entrance.. the History of Magic professor looked up, tilting her head a bit as she watched. Another literal interpreter. That was great too, but maybe she should keep a tally. Ooh that might be fun! Without missing a beat, she affected a casual expression and nod. “Sup, Prefect.” Teehee.

Jasmine hadn't really made a fabulous entrance last time. She was capable of better. Since there weren't a lot of students there yet, she decided to go more spectacular. However, if the Professor kept this up, it was going to be hard to keep going bigger and bigger.
Waiting for a path to clear, she dropped her bag and took off a few layers of clothes. Starting to second guess her decision, Jasmine figured she'd better get it over with before she changed her mind. Then she made her entrance by doing a round off back handspring. Going back to pick up her clothes and bag, she looked for an empty seat. On the way, Jasmine said, "Hello Professor Glendower". She chose a desk and sat down, ready to watch he rest of the "Entrance" show.
Snip, snip. Nessa continued on another paper snowflake, glancing up with a beamy smile as she saw another shadow in the door. Ooh, what would this one do? She gave the Ravenclaw girl her full attention as she took off a few layers of clothing then flipped into the room.. wow! ”Oh that’s impressive!” Sure, Nessa could sing and dance, but she could not do acrobatics. ”Hello, Jasmine!”Beam.

He took a seat near the back in his usual History of Magic spot. OOOOH peppermint candy, niceeeee.
She didn’t bother turning her attention back to her paper snowflakes just yet because soon enough there was another student at her door. Hmm.. the young Slytherin didn’t look to be quite in the mood. She was sure class would change that though! even though he didn’t greet her, Nessa still gave him a big smile. ”Good afternoon, Caleb,” she said brightly as the boy took his seat.

Ethan smirked, completely pleased with himself and how successful he is mimicking Sherlock’s arrogance.
“I am actually surprised you’re interested about my whereabouts. Really now, Watson. You are not Mrs. Hudson to ask me that question.” Right? Right. Ethan grinned in response to Simon’s wink. He still can’t wink, and needs to practice that for full effect. Right now, they were having too much fun. “Mystery number one: Why are they making a fool of themselves? Care to explain?” Don’t worry fellas. It’s just for fun.
Nessa finished up the snowflake she was working on and tossed it into the pile before glancing Holmes and Watson again. Aww, they were still in character.. simply adorable, they were. She smiled lightly in their direction again before grabbing another piece of paper for another snowflake.

Grinning as she saw the sign, she moved her purse down and transfigured it into a basket. Conjuring up sunflowers and laying them nicely in.
Swinging the door open wide she began to sing and bounce into the room. "I got a pocket, got a pocket full of sunshine." Tossing the flowers as she went clear up until she was in front of the History of Magic Professor, squealing and snapping a bit, "OHMYGOSH!!!! I am going to be in your class today!!!! This is sooooo fabtasitc!" She was super excited. "Oh no.. no gosh.. no I shouldn't be talking, you have a class to teach." She snapped a few more times and turned to find a seat, as she went flicking her wand she vanished the flowers to her besties office.
Seeing all the wonderful students she beamed and waved taking a seat towards the back not to be in the way.
OH. MY. MERLIN! Look who was here! This time, Nessa couldn’t repress her squeal.. she was far too excited! And check out that entrance! She danced in place a bit to the music Cassie was singing, still beaming widely until she reached her. ”OHMYGOSH!” she squealed and clapped along with her, so super excited. ”I’m so pleased you’ll be joining us!” Oh but Nessa realized she should probably calm herself just a bit.. stay professional for her class and all. Even if it was really exciting that her bestie was going to have some fun with them.
SPOILER!!: naughty Kevin

But then he grinned. Making an entrance eh? oh he would show them an entrance! His hand went in to his bag and took out one of the 5 fireworks potions he had made in the lab. As he entered the room, the second year uncorked the vial and spilled the potion on the ground.
The moment it had hit the floor, flashes of bright white light filled the room and occasionally a couple of loud BANGS could be heard as well. In the meantime, making use of the distraction, Kevin had slipped towards the podium at the front of the classroom and sneaked behind the Professor. With a smirk, the Gryffindor grabbed his wand and muttered "Tarantallegra" while pointing his wand at her back. MWUWAHAHAHA
Startled by the BANGs, Nessa jumped a bit as she turned her widened eyes toward the entrance again. Oh my!! Fireworks! How wonderful! Well that was a spectacular entrance, wasn’t it? And she watched for a moment, ready to greet whoever was behind it all.. but when the doorway cleared, there was no one there? Odd.
She had just turned to add her finished snowflake to the pile, which would also leave her hands free to give applause, when she caught the sight of a student out of the corner of her eye right as she was hit with the spell. What the – Nessa looked down as her legs started twitching, then dancing on their own accord. It was convenient that she was a trained dancer that she was able to gain some control and danced around her podium a bit as she pulled out her own wand, effectively stopping the spell. Then she rounded on the boy.. actually horrified that he would dare commit such a disrespectful and aggressive act against a professor.
”Mr. Hirase,” she began, her signature beamy smile simply erased from her face. ”If you wanted me to dance, all you had to do was ask. I almost always comply with that request.” Mhmm, she loved to dance but she would not against her will.. that simply was not right. ”We do not draw our wands in this classroom and certainly not without another’s knowledge. No one is dueling in here, not that what you did could be considered that. Casting an unfriendly spell on a professor without her knowledge is underhanded and disrespectful.. it’s appalling.” Yes, that’s what she was.. appalled. ”Respect is my number one rule in the classroom and you must learn it to be in here.” She hated making rules and she hated to have to be that professor, but sometimes that was necessary for children to learn from their mistakes and be better people. And this unfortunately deserved a punishment. She knew the boy was generally rude and disrespectful, things that could normally be dealt with in class, but drawing a wand on a professor.. well, that was just.. disturbing. He needed to learn from his behavior.. something that didn’t seem to be happening.. and taking points just wasn’t going to do it.
”I’m afraid this warrants a detention, Kevin,” she said shaking her head a bit. She wasn’t sure exactly how to go about doing that, never having to hand one out before, thank Merlin. But someone did. She glanced at Cassie.. maybe.. no, she knew she wouldn’t be well-versed in that sort of thing either. Maybe she should speak to the Headmistress about it. She hated disturbing her or interrupting her own class, but she wanted this taken care of, feeling it was already out of hand. Honestly.. a child pulling a wand on a professor.. and behind her back. She still couldn’t get over the sheer brazenness. “Professor Cassie.. would you mind asking Headmistress Truebridge to pay us a visit?” She’d send a patronus, but she was so flustered now she wasn’t sure she could muster up her happy thought. But for now she’d try to get class started. Gosh, she felt horrible now.. but it had to be done.

Seeing that the sign saying 'Make an Entrance' was still there, Lux decided why not. This class was fun, so she would do something fun on her way into the room. Since there was no music to dance to, she settled on doing cartwheels. It was definitely harder to do wearing layers, but somehow she managed not to faceplant onto the floor. Go her.
"Hello, Professor Glendower!" Oooh, paper snowflakes. Lux was wondering what that was about. Hopefully this lesson would be as fun as the last one had been. Jasmine, Ethan, and Professor Cassie all got friendly hellos. It was nice to see Professor Cassie, and no surprise either because she was so close to Professor Glendower!
Taking her seat, she waited for the lesson to begin.
OOOOH CANDY!!
Taking a deep breath, Nessa tried to compose herself and put on her happy smile for the rest of the students. Another was coming in and oh, she was one of her nicest students. Nessa gave Lux a bright smile as cartwheeled into the room. “Hello, Lux.. well-done!” Again, she couldn’t help but to be impressed with the acrobatics that came into the room.

So his entrance? Grayson sighed and mentally prayed that no one he didn't get along with was currently in the classroom. Once that was over, the fifteen year old BURST through the door and called, "Never fear! Grayson Whitlock is hereeeeeeeeee!"
Was that good enough? Yes? Did it call for a few extra points? Nudge nudge hint hint, Professor.
And speaking of the professor, the boy cleared his throat to maintain his cool before saying, "Hey, Professor!" he said, shooting her a smile because apparently, that needed to be brought to this lesson too. Along with a copy of a Year with the Yeti, which was tucked away in the bag he had slung over his right shoulder. As for whether the class held people he didn't like: LOL nope! GOOD. Making a fool out of himself around Sophie had been one thing, but it was different when there was a Professor watching you do it! He already looked idiotic enough in front of Beautiful Bentley and even Culloden too. Didn't need another to add to the list. So yes, just this once an absence of music was rather relieving.
....
That was, until he stood in front of the door. That darn 'Make an Enterance' sign was still there. Gah. These Professors and their nutty habits. Lint roller before Astronomy. An entrance before History of Magic. Next thing they'd know, Professor Morgan would make them all wear pink pom-poms in their hair and this would really become a mess. The Gryffindor just sighed a little before standing there a little longer to figure out what he'd do. AHA!
The third year kneeled on the floor as he quickly searched his bag for three light(ish) textbooks. Plastic balls would have been an easier choice, of course, but he didn't carry those around on a regular basis-- Obviously. The Gryffindor smiled to himself as he walked into the classroom juggling-yes juggling- the three text books. It was his hidden talent. Picked it up one summer while he was home for two months locked in his room. It was a way better use of his time than getting plunked into the toilet. Anyways. Juggling. Right.
He had only made it to about the center of the room before, suddenly he found himself loosing his mojo, if you will. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. And with a loud THUD! All three books came tumbling down and so did the embarrassed third year because so much for not making a fool of himself. "Whoops, sorry Professor..."

Adi spotted AJ. He'd sit next to her today. Yep. On his way over to his friend, he waved to Lux and Jasmine. Heeeey, guys! "Hi, AJ.'' He dropped into the seat next to hers.

The boy tapped his chin before coming up with something. Getting low to the ground and trying his BEST to ignore just how COLD it was down here, he began to wiggle through the threshold.
He was a flobberworm. Duh.
Did she have enough snowflakes now? She glanced at the pile behind the podium before looking back at the doorway again. Aww, sweet little Kyroh. Nessa gave him a beam.. which soon turned to a curious look as he got down on the floor. Hmm.. what was he doing? Oh! "A flobberworm?" she guessed. My, that was creative.
SPOILER!!: Maddie

Following along behind the flobberworm formerly known as Kyroh, the twelve year old made her way to an empty seat and got comfortable. Once she WAS, the first year shot a smile at the History of Magic mistress. "Hello Professor."
Ravenclaws were so interesting.. and always seemed to be one extreme or the other, according to Nessa. They either seemed to take things very literally or were exceedingly creative. Or, at times, both. This one seemed to take the literal route today as she walked in. "Hello, Maddie," she beamed at the first year as she took her seat.

Professor Cassie always seemed to radiate happiness, and Penelope absorbed this happiness, so the professor always made her happy. Feeling less nervous about coming to the class now, she decided to enter the room.
The sign said make an entrance. Penelope did not make a big entrance, but it was an entrance. If she didn't make an entrance of any kind, she wouldn't be in the room. Signs could be so stupid. "Hello, Professor Glendower," she said, smiling at the professor. "Hi Professor Cassie!" Professor Cassie also got a big smile. Penelope found a seat near the door. She hadn't forgotten about the last lesson, and was still unsure about this lesson.
Nessa looked up as she saw a reluctant little shadow lingering in the doorway. Oh.. it was Penelope.. was she nervous about coming in? Nessa gave her an encouraging smile and beckoned her a bit with her hand. Another literal Ravenclaw, but that was perfectly okay. Everything was open to interpretation. "Hello, Penelope," she said brightly, giving her a big smile. She was sure the previous lesson was on her mind. The girl just needed to have a good experience this time to overshadow the bad experience.
SPOILER!!: Cinna

She was pretty flexible. She grinned and tucked in her shirt because yeah. She slung her bag over both shoulders. Placing her hands on the floor by the door she lifted up her legs. Using her hands to walk into the classroom.
Cinna was walking on her hands into the classroom. She hand walked all the way up to professor Glendower "Hello Professor Glendower!" She turned her head just enough so the professor could hear her. She smiled at her and went back to walking on her feet. This way was so easier to find a seat. Plus she was pretty sure that all of the blood was going to her head at that point.
She spotted, Professor Morgan. She got a big smile and a wave as did Grayson and Zander. Of course she plopped down in next to her best friend Lux but grabbed the CAAAANNNNDDYYY before she did. Peppermint humbugs..... Whoop whoop!
Nessa's eyes widened a bit as she watched the next student to enter. Oh my.. "Hello, Cinna," she greeted her back in return. "That was quite an impressive entrance!" Goodness, all these talented acrobats..

Making her way inside the classroom, and just for extra measures, Beverly untied her waist-long hair and let it fall down her arms and back. Then she flipped it over her shoulders.
Hair flip a la Beverly Wayne style.
It was a thing now.
Spotting both the History of Magic and Divination professors Beverly sent them a small wave. "Hello, professors." Still not a good day. So no good day.
Oh such a diva entrance. That one was original as well. Nessa gave the Slytherin a bright smile as she walked in. "Hello, Beverly."

Alright, so if she determined that Aubrey had already come in, then this twin must be Angel. "Hello, Angel," she returned the girl's greeting, giving her a cheerful smile as she walked in.
SPOILER!!: Alexa

The Gryffindor walked in, hands jammed in her pockets for extra warmth against the ice-box that was the corridor on her walk here. The lack of music didn't bug her, in fact it'd taken her an extra moment to realize it wasn't there. "Hello Professor." No comments on the cutout snow flakes. Obviously she was in this mocking students thing too. All good, nothing personal. The cold was everywhere.
It wasn't until after she'd taken her seat that she realized Professor Smiles was there too. Really...? They weren't like...having a joint lesson right? Because.....Divination wasn't real but History of Magic had to be real, the moment it became clouded with predictions, it lost its validity.
....Maybe she was just over thinking it. Yeah.......though Merlin knew she didn't know what else to think.
Most of the Gryffindors, it seemed, didn't take the entrance as literally as some of the others. But this one did, making it somehow all that more unique to her. "Hello, Alexa," she returned, giving her a wide smile. Nessa glanced at the pile of snowflakes again, before glancing at her watch. Ah, there was time for one more.

The later was the one she headed to.
Standing by the door, she took a deep breath before stepping inside.
Now for the entrance she had to make, she had a couple of ideas and she couldn't be sure on which one she wanted to go with. But eventually she decided to not overdo it. No one wanted to be overrated.
Pushing her shoulders back, the blond stepped inside and walked very much like models do. Mhhm. One foot in front of the other, a hand on her waist as well. "Good day, professor," She greeted the woman as she walked by her. Then on again she started sashaying towards one of the seats. That had to do it.
Nessa started cutting in on another of the paper snowflakes, watching with interest as the Head Girl came sauntering in. Another Diva entrance, this girl had quite the presence though.. and Nessa looked at her a bit appraisingly. Hmm, she could have a stage career possibly. "Good day, Cassia," she returned, giving her a big smile. Lovely entrance.
SPOILER!!: Dima

"Hi Professor!" He called out his greeting from the floor as he made haste toward his desk, arms getting floppier and floppier. His form was starting to suffer quote a bit, but Merlin, could you blame him? This entering like a cool person thing was sorta hard.
At least he'd made it to a seat.
Nessa watched curiously, an amused expression written on her face, as another Ravenclaw made his way in. Very creatively, too, she might add. She wasn't sure which creature this boy was imitating.. though the thought of it did make her mourn her failed attempt at charades at the book club. But the first year got a big grin as he crabwalked past. "Hi, Dima!" Yes, she somehow remembered he liked to be called that as she wrote that in her roster notes.

Ah, and what were these ladies doing? Nessa put her snowflake supplies down, decidedly finished now that class would soon start, and she watched the doorway intently for what they would do. So, Miss Kettleburn wished to be carried in? That was creative for sure.. and rather resourceful. She wouldn't mind to be carried in to make an entrance herself.. on one of those things that Cleopatra was carried on. What was it called..? Right.. a litter. As they were trying to arrange themselves, she turned to watch a few stragglers sneaking past them.

Nessa watched as the boy walked in. He had offered to help the girls, but perhaps intimidated as sometimes boys were around groups of females. That was understandable. "Hello, Kace." She gave him a bright smile. "Thank you.. hmm.. perhaps.." They could be making snowflakes if they felt it warranted their activity, but it was unlikely. "You're welcome," she said with a smile, appreciating his manners.

Sitting back, she watched the others make there entrances. Yup, she was perfectly happy just watching.
One more to walk in.. and take the literal route. Nessa watched the girl as she entered and gave her a bright smile as brown eyes followed her to her seat. "Hello, Hazel."
Alright! It was time for class to begin. Eeep, she was excited! Professor Glendower found her place at the front of the classroom, giving all the students a big smile before she began. "Good afternoon, everyone! I appreciate each and every one of your entrances. They are all so creative and unique to you. Believe it or not, they do speak something about you." But that was not what they would be necessarily discussing today.. even if all her classes has a touch of individuality from each of the students.
"So, let's begin.." She clasped her hands together as she looked all around at them. "Last time we met, we actually touched on something that foreshadowed today's lesson." Oh she simply loved that literary device and was pleased to have had that in her last lesson even if no one realized it at the time. "And if you haven't already guessed, then the book I asked you to bring, if you owned it already, was probably a huge hint to the topic of today's lesson." Hmm, did anyone bring the supplemental book with them? Now might be a good time to pass out the extra copies.
Flicking her wand at the back of her podium, she sent a dozen copies of Year with the Yeti to the middle of the room and let them hover at eye-level there. "If you did not bring a copy with you today, please come up and get one.. though there is not enough for the entire class if no one brought one. You might have to share." But we were all friends here, they could just pull up their desks next to each other and look over each other's shoulder. "And then answer me this.." Dramatic pause. "Why would we be discussing Yetis here today in History of Magic class instead of Care of Magical Creatures?" Since that's what they were and all.
OOC - Please one answer per person and try not to say something that someone else already did. Creative answers are always welcome!

Fantastic effort.
Well that was a fail. And clearly a nice Professor way of saying 'you suck'. Of course he smiled back at Professor Glendower, but he was slowly dying on the inside. Why do bad things happen to such undeserving people? Sure he had done some bad things in the past, b-but never bad enough to merit such embarrassment! Right. Anyways, moving on. It was just a bump in the road, he could totally recover. Totally. Besides no one else had really noticed, right? Other than Mr. John Watson of course, ahem, Simon.
Pink cheeked Zander made his way to a desk, making sure to pick up the peppermint humbug before sitting. Wow. He hadn't seen actual candy in weeks! After he gave his last bit to Cinna for her birthday, he was completely dried out. He'd have to pocket this one for a time of need. It would take so much self restraint. AH. Forgetting all about his earlier slip up, the happy third year sent happy beams of gratefulness at Professor History.
As for the book, unfortunately- or was it really actually fortunate?- it wasn't one of the three that Zander had been juggling. Actually he must've left his copy in the Common Room... Or did he even buy a copy? Ahem... The Gryffindor made his way up to the pile of books making sure to grab one that looked like it was good in condition. As for the question though, he assumed it had something to do with a history event or something. Could he redeem himself for his fall?!
THIS WAS HIS CHANCE. IT WAS HIS TIME. "Does it happen to do with a breach in the Statute of Secrecy?" Because she had said last lesson was foreshadowing? And they had learned about muggles seeing magicky things. SO YES? Had he redeemed himself yet, Professor?! HAD HE?

Cinna pulled out her copy of year with a yeti. Luckily she had a copy of ot with her that she bought from home. She waited until the others had gotten there books so professor Glendower could get started with the lesson. She raised her hand after the professor asked the first question. "Because they are a part of our history?" She really wasn't answering it as a question. Really, but that was what she thought sounded good.

Professor Glendower was so sweet, and Lux beamed as she was complimented on her cartwheels. It had been harder to do with all the layers and they hadn't been the most graceful, but she had still done it.
Class was starting and Lux was excited. The last lesson had been so much fun with the little play they had done, and it would be awesome if they did something like that again today. Maybe it would be involving Yetis since that was what the lesson was clearly focusing on.
After taking said book out of her bag, she raised her hand to try to guess at an answer. "Is it because there was an incident with a Yeti and some muggles?" Just thinking about the foreshadowing thing, Lux was reminded of the dragon who had intruded on some muggles wearing hideous beach outfits.

"YEAH! Right Professor!!" Kyroh responded giving a thumbs up to the professor. But then he quickly put his thumb away because Flobberworms didn't have those. It wasn't until she was HALFWAY through her speech did he actually finish make his way through the door because, Flobberworms were slow, gosh. That didn't mean he was late right? Getting up, he brushed himself off and sat down at really the only empty seat he could find. Which luckily was next to Dima. Heh.
OH and question? Kyroh raised his hand, before even taking out his book. "Because Yeti's are first little, like babies, and then they grow big like adults and so that means they have history's too. And if we don't learn about the Yeti's history and our history's with the Yeti's we are doomed to be attacked whenever we visit Tibet." And Tibet had a history TOO.

"I only do reckless things when you get yourself in trouble which is a lot apparently cause the great Sherlock Holmes can't keep himself out of trouble." Simon was fully embracing his role.
"I got a telephone call from Mrs. Hudson. She was rather worried about your whereabouts since recently you haven't had the cleanest record," he said, folding his arms and pulling out an imaginary phone (cause Simon would never do that in class). Pursing his lips he thought through the question. "What I can deduce from this situation is that there was a sign on the door informing students to 'Make an Entrance'. Some of them followed through and just had fun. Others scurried in," he said simply.
He was about to go on when Zander dropped all his things. "Oh dear, that was loud," he said and went over to help Zander pick up the books. "Hey, you okay, mate?" Was something wrong with Zander? Hmmm?
Ethan Holmes smirked, every ounce of arrogance emanated from his face and body language. “I have to say Watson that is a good deduction of yourself.” Holmes toyed with the peppermint humbug on his table as he enjoyed the scene unfold before him. Ah yes, the perks of being early for this class. Hehehehe. So far, theirs was the most epic. Mhm. “A call from Mrs. Hudson? That could only mean one thing. Mycroft is at play.” Speaking of Mycroft, they needed one! Merlin, can he play the older brother too? Ethan Holmes simply nodded as he smirked…and snorted at the different entrances his classmates made. Again, he was in character okay? But yeah, he’s having too much fun.
Ethan did not expect that Simon would break away from his character when it was Zander’s turn to make an entrance. Detective Holmes however remained his composure and raised an eyebrow at his Watson, and Zander. Ethan Holmes just shook his head with the slightest grin on his face. In character or out character, Simon Holden / John Watson’s got a heart of gold.
SPOILER!!: Professor Glendower

And so…the game was afoot!
“We are, likewise delighted to be in your presence, madam.” Ethan sat up straighter as their clientprofessor acknowledged them. Shrugging, Ethan got a copy of the said book from the pile and inspected it as he walked back to his seat. This should be an interesting read, but it irks him that it was written by Gilderoy Lockhart. But anyway, onto the professor’s question.
Hand up.
“If we know their history, then it would be easier to contain or handle them.” Ethan nodded as he placed the book on his armchair. “They say it’s easier to capture the enemy if you know their background.” Right, he’s been reading too much Sherlock books as of late. Mhm.

Angel smiled as she raised her hand. "Professor is it because it is written by Gilderoy Lockhart who was supposed to be a great wizard." Angel wanted to continue but she didn't want to get into trouble for giving too much information so she decided to leave it there, she could tell the Professor the rest later.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Kevin had kind of thought that the Professor would have blocked his spell so when it hit her and she began to dance uncontrollably , the young Gryffindor laughed so hard he had to grab his stomach. It didn’t take long till the fun was over and he refrained from rolling his eyes when her signature smile changed and she looked with a stern expression at him. “I hardly call that an unfriendly spell, Prof-es-sor” he shrugged the shoulders. Seriously, it was dancing spell. What harm was that gonna do eh?
And again with the respect. He REALLY needed to ask money each time someone mentioned it. Kevin folded his arms over each other and watched the interaction going on between the History of Magic Professor and the Divination Professor. He wasn’t even startled to hear the word detention. Seriously, like he cared? However, at the mention of the Headmistress he suddenly looked a bit more uncomfortable. It wasn’t that he was scared of her but she did have the power to throw him out of school right?
The Gryffindor shrugged his shoulders again and pretended that he didn’t care. Then without another word, the boy twirled around and sat down on one of the empty seats, picking out his book from his bag.
Oh and NOW their entrances were unique to them and speak about them? His entrance was exactly that but he got an detention? Pfft unfair. Yes, he totally did not see that he did wrong by attacking an Professor. Merlin’s beard he had done that so many times now, she should be honoured to be on the list. Although the attack on Bentley had been an accident, TRUTH!
As the question came, Kevin did listen, while chewing on the peppermint humbug he found. The answer however, he did not know. He was more focused on the door and coming up with a plan to vanish before the Headmistress would enter the room.
Lucy said:" the Yeti is know as the Abominable Snowman...maybe we study the Yeti in this lesson because the temperature these times went down a lot and it's cold as in other past period of History..."
Leah had remembered to pick up the peppermint humbug before sitting down. Not exactly her favorite, but she did not expect to see cauldron cakes on every chairs. She pocketed the sweet, not sure whether she could eat it during class or not.
Year with the Yeti. What kind of a book was that? Definitely not one she had brought to class. Leah walked up to the middle of the room to borrow one. The picture on the front cover of a man was impressive. She flipped through the book once as she went back to her seat, not taking in much information.
"Maybe there was a remarkable Yeti in history." The Hufflepuff said, raising her hand. She thought it not likely to learn about Yetis in CoMC though, would Professor Thompson bring one to class?

Ah, this one went with the literal entrance. Not quite as entertaining but interesting to see how one interpreted it all the same. One of the twins.. hmm. Nessa would go with Aubrey. She seemed the more outspoken of the two. “Hello, Aubrey,” she said with a happy smile as she finished a snowflake and tossed it onto the growing pile behind her. “Keeping warm, I hope.” She did feel bad about the temperature of her room, but she did the best she could.
Nessa finished up the snowflake she was working on and tossed it into the pile before glancing Holmes and Watson again. Aww, they were still in character.. simply adorable, they were. She smiled lightly in their direction again before grabbing another piece of paper for another snowflake.
OH. MY.
Nessa began working on another paper snowflake, glancing up again as she heard the next arrival before she saw him. She couldn’t help but to chuckle, her mood lightening again. ”Welcome, Grayson,” she said, returning his smile as he headed towards his seat. ”Glad to see you today.”
SPOILER!!: Zander and Simon
And another snowflake done and added to her pile. Nessa decided to do another.. why not? There was still time to allow everyone in and she rather enjoyed doing this the hands-on way rather than with magic. There was something satisfying about crafting for her. She looked up towards the door, tilting her head a bit as she saw someone kneeling at the doorway. Hmm.. she waited for what might happen next. OH! Juggling.. how delightful! Nessa beamed at Zander as he made it inside the classroom with his books flying through the air, her smile soon fading as everything fell. "Oh, no.. are you alright?" She bent down to start helping him pick up his books, smiling at Simon as he quickly came over to help as well. "Thank you for your help, dear.. and what a fantastic effort!" She did love juggling, especially the street performers she would see in Diagon Alley every once in a while.
"Hello, Adi," Nessa smiled widely at the boy as he walked in and greeted her. She didn't miss his literal interpretation either, she thought those were fun as well. Aww, he seemed to be in a great mood.. how wonderful.
Still smiling as she finished up another snowflake, Nessa looked up as another student walked in.. this one showing off her pretty dress under her uniform. "Good afternoon, dear," she gently corrected with a sweet smile. "What a stunning dress.. might want to cover back up though, I know how cold it is in here." She did her best with the insulating charms, but it still seemed a bit on the chilly side.
Nessa's eyes widened a bit as she watched the next student to enter. Oh my.. "Hello, Cinna," she greeted her back in return. "That was quite an impressive entrance!" Goodness, all these talented acrobats..
SPOILER!!: Zahra, Marigold, Sophie
Ah, and what were these ladies doing? Nessa put her snowflake supplies down, decidedly finished now that class would soon start, and she watched the doorway intently for what they would do. So, Miss Kettleburn wished to be carried in? That was creative for sure.. and rather resourceful. She wouldn't mind to be carried in to make an entrance herself.. on one of those things that Cleopatra was carried on. What was it called..? Right.. a litter. As they were trying to arrange themselves, she turned to watch a few stragglers sneaking past them.

He was fighting the urge not to wince at her every syllable, but truth be told he found it difficult. The way she breathed annoyed him. He looked less than pleased to be there as he drew out his copy of the Lockhart series book. He thumbed over toward the table of contents which laid out each chapter title. That was when a small smile crept onto his face. This bloke Lockhart was over dramatic. Over dramatic and ridiculous. Cutty thought him both stupid and amusing.
Maybe it isn't Yetis we'll be discussing, but the author? Cutty dared to dream, but instead put his hand up and gave the following suggestion, "Well, if the creature's history is strongly linked with that of Wizard kind it wouldn't hurt to know it. That's not likely to be gone over in Care of Magical Creatures, now is it? It's more like the biological side of Yetis." Like how they could devour a person like it was nothing.

AJ smiled as Adi made his way to sit down next to her. It was official, they were back to their old selves and it felt good. "Hey Adi." she whispered. She was just about to ask him a question when the professor started talking. Who was getting a detention? Did she miss something? Her little daydreaming habit was making her miss too many things. She needed to get that under control.
Whoops. She forgot to bring her own copy of the book. Did Adi have his? "Can we share?" she whispered once more. Yetis. The creature they were talking about in the research meeting popped into her head. "Professor, is it related to the chort? Does the lesson have to do with trying to figure out what is outside the castle walls trying to trap us in?" Dramatic much? She really wasn't trying to be, she just had lots of questions.
Emmylou had that book, she didn't know why she had gotten it in the first place but Aunt Raeanne mentioned that it might be useful for one of her many classes that she was taking and Hogwarts and Emmylou wasn't going to argue with her Aunt because she was once a student at Hogwarts and a Gryffindor so she had an idea of what books were needed for what lesson and Emmylou was sure glad about having bought this book now. Emmylou fiddled around in her backpack looking for her book. After a moment or two the third year gently put the book in front of her.
She opened a page here and there and would look through the book as the professor was talking, she was paying attention but she had never even opened this book yet and was curious as to what was inside it. Yetis? Emmylou didn't know much about Yetis but she knew that they must have something to do with Witches and Wizards history if they were going to be talked about in todays History of Magic lesson. Emmylou was going to say something but it was along the lines of what some other students were talking about so she thought it would be best to not say anything at all.

Great! The lesson was starting. He wanted something to do other than just sitting there, with a wide, foolish grin on his face. He had been feeling happier than usual ever since he and AJ started speaking again. Of course he didn't tell her that. Nope.
He glanced over at his friend. "Sure.'' Adi pulled out his copy of Year with the Yeti. And then popped the peppermint humbug in his mouth before raising his hand.
"They played a huge part in History? Or perhaps just a particular Yeti?'' It was all the Hufflepuff could come up with right about now.

She had just sat down and was enjoying the entrances of the students when the noise was soooo loud that she jumped. Fireworks? Goodness how creative, but probably a bit dangerous. She watched the smoke clear and wondered who the student was when she saw a bit too late someone behind Nessa.
Seeing her friend dancing wasn't anything new and at first she thought maybe it was her entrance and Cassie even went to clap until she saw the lion behind her friend and his wand. Jumping up she moved to the front of the room. "OHMYGOSH" He didn't just do what she thought he did. NO, students didn't do mean things like that to their professors. They had more respect than that.
Her eyes stayed wide as she heard her always happy friend really get stern with the boy. Goodness this was so awful all of it. She just stood there not really knowing what to do and all flustered from the negativity. She needed tea for sure soon. "I can go and get her that's fine." It was only one floor up and Merlin Cassie needed the little walk to calm from all the negative. So no patronus she'd just walk.
She turned quickly on her heels and headed out the door.

Sophie still had one arm around Zahra waiting to carry her in, but the professor was handing out a detention, too, and that most defitely had Sophies attention. Whoa, wait--now the Headmistress was being called?! EEP! Toussaint was on her own now. Sophie was going to find a seat and get good and settled and set to look like a perfect little princess when Truebridge arrived.
She darted into the closest seat and raised her hand to join in on the lesson. She had actually remembered to bring her Yeti book, so she whipped it out her bag while she considered the answer to the professor's question. "Does it have anything to do with Clause 73 of the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy?" she asked. "That's the clause that says each country is responsible for concealing all the magic in its area, and the Muggles keep seeing the Yeti." That one little fact was basically all Sophie knew about the Yeti in history.

Bravo!

Simon gave Professor Glendower a kind smile as Watson as well as a salute cause you know one had to be polite. Sherlock could get away with many things; Watson had to make up for it. Simon Watson rolled his eyes at Holmes. Holmes would never learn. After helping Zander, he returned to his seat next to Ethan and the lesson commenced.
Ah time to pull out the books. Simon pulled out his copy and rested it on his lap. Simon didn't know an answer to her question. Why would they EVEN be studying a book by Gilderoy Lockhart when the man practically made everything up. He raised a hand. "Does it have anything to do with the fact that Lockhart falsified the account of the story because he never did spend time with Yetis. He just took someone else's work. Taking credit for other people's work has happened a lot in muggle history too. So studying this in Care of Magical Creatures wouldn't be exactly appropriate," explained Simon. That was his personal opinion on the whole matter.
