As you enter the History of Magic classroom, you instantly hear music both muggle and wizard playing softly in the background. It is an upbeat set of songs.
The classroom is decorated with a huge Happy Birthday banner across the front of the room that is charmed to change from blue to yellow to red to green to alternating colors occasionally. Each time the color changes, the font of the words change as well.
Across the right side of the classroom is a long table divided into four sections. Each section has a table cloth with a crest of each house on it. So there is a blue tablecloth with the Ravenclaw crest, a red tablecloth with the Gryffindor crest, a green table with the Slytherin crest, and a yellow table with the Hufflepuff crest. Each table contains plates, silverware, cups, and napkins that match the color of the tablecloth. Also there is a punch bowl full of a drink in the same shades. In the center of each table is a cake decorated with the crest of the house.
The middle of the classroom is divided into four different sections. Each section holds tables covered in similar tablecloths. Above each set of tables, streamers of the house shade are hanging above the cluster of table. A charm as been set that makes fireworks of the house shade pop occasionally about each cluster. Every once and a while confetti in the house colors explodes overhead and flutters down to the tables only to disappear a few minutes later.
The professor has written a message on the board that is enchanted to scribble out in her handwritting and stay for a few minutes and then erase and start again:
Quote: Welcome to History of Magic: Lesson One!
Please find your house colors and have a seat at one of the tables in that cluster. But don't get too comfy, because we may be moving around.
Professor Gemma Cerulean The Professor can be found at the door shaking everyone's hands as they enter the door.

Whatever Ariadne expected of a History of Magic class, it wasn't that. The party decor made her very curious, so as she entered, after greeting Professor Cerulean, Ari asked her: 'Wow, Professor, are we having a party? Whose birthday is it?' This was exciting!
Scanning the room, Ariadne realized they were supposed to sit at house tables, just like in the Great Hall. Hmm...

Helena walked into the History of Magic classroom, to find it... pretty odd decorated. Was it someone's birthday? Were they having some kind of feast? Or maybe they'll eat to have energy for the real lesson!
Anyway, the girl faced another new professor and smiled. "Good morning." Then, she walked towards the green part of the looong table and sat down, simply staring at the board. At least they had music.

Before she even gave the classroom a glance, Ellie looked at their new professor, "I expect snacks," she said. Once she had looked around the classroom, she realized that that was totally unnecessary. There was cake. Multiple cakes.
And Jacob should be here any minute.

"I approve," she nodded to the professor. She approved of anyone who had the potential to force Jacob's insanity through. It was only a matter of time before he was sent away, and she liked anyone who was helping to speed that up.
Ellie continued farther into the classroom and read the board. Why exactly did they have to sit at their House tables? What kind of school unity was that? And WHOSE birthday was it?
So many questions. Already. She didn't have this problem with Welton.
Regardless, Ellie found a seat at a table donned with a blue tablecloth. Right.

Tiberius hustled into the room and stopped short in front of the professor as he took in all there was to see. Blinking in a bit of confusion, he took his turn shaking the professor's hand. "Good day," he said, unsure if she was new or returning. He'd have to ask.

Heading to the History of Magic classroom, Simon heard music coming from the room just like he had with transfiguration though the tunes were certainly a better array of sounds at this point in time.
Let's just hope that is a hint to better times
He mused to himself though considering the professor he had spotted at the feast rather then then crased ministry worker it probably would turn out for the better. Stepping inside he paused at the decor, a slight raise of the eyebrow but more because he was so used to the way the class had been handled before that this was a new approach.
"Good day professor," he greeted before following her directions and heading over to the Gryffindor section and taking a seat.

Kurumi had to admit, her expectations for History of Magic were not set very high based on previous classes. Sure, she found history interesting in its own right, but when compared to other classes that were so fast paced...well...the class never had been one she had gone racing through the corridors to get to.
Which is why she was pleasantly surprised to see the classroom had been decorated in house colors and with streamers saying Happy Birthday. "Good day, Professor," Kurumi chirped as she awed at the banners. "Is...Is it Hogwarts' birthday?"
It made sense when one considered the decor and that they were in a History of Magic after all.

Now this was the kind of music that Caroline could tolerate. Loads better than that god awful classical music from Transfig. lesson. As stepped into the room, she could it playing lightly into inside the room. She looked around it was very colorful it say the least. Red, green, blue and yellow. It looked like they were having a party of something, She smiled at the new professor. "Good morning Professor." She looked like she would be a fun teacher better these ministry ones. She read the board and headed over to the green corner of the room. She sat down and waited for class to begin.

He thought to himself then realised that maybe he had the wrong room, walking back out he turn to the door and saw that it said History of Magic classroom, so he walked back in, seeing a Professor he hadn't seen before he turned to and asked. "Professor is this the History of Magic class, or has it been moved?" He thought it looked like a birthday party in here and as such surely it wasn't a lesson.

When she see the tables, it was the last thing she had expected from a History Class. It was, decorated, and had food on it. She had often stereotyped a History Class as the "boring" class, but not this one.

The professor had really out done herself. Cassie was loving the decorations. Who knew history of magic could be this exciting? She entered the room completely and sauntered from place to place taking in the decor. Wow could this be her new favourite class?
She turned her attention to the professor and beamed."Professor this is so pretty!!"
Spotting none of her friends just yet, Cassie made her way over to the hufflepuff section and took a seat. She eyed the drink wondering if it was safe to taste it or not. She figured that she had best wait to see if anyone else did before she indulged.

Fee made her way to the history of magic classroom and smiled a little.Last term history of magic had been a good subject but with the new teacher the blonde wasnt so sure.All she could do was hope for a good and nice teacher.
Walking through the door the Slytherin noticed that music was playing and there was a happy birthday sign hanging in the air.It looked really beautiful.Whose birthday was it?! Mhhh maybe the professors?That would be soo much fun.

He mused to himself though considering the professor he had spotted at the feast rather then then crased ministry worker it probably would turn out for the better. Stepping inside he paused at the decor, a slight raise of the eyebrow but more because he was so used to the way the class had been handled before that this was a new approach.

Ellie continued farther into the classroom and read the board. Why exactly did they have to sit at their House tables? What kind of school unity was that? And WHOSE birthday was it?

Regardless, Ellie found a seat at a table donned with a blue tablecloth. Right. The professor glanced at the young lady wondering if the girl was really being demanding or just picking on the new professor. She didn't like demands and she wasn't sure if the young girl knew that it wasn't always what you said but how you said it that made a difference. She was just about to explain this to the young lady nicely when the girl made her next comment.
" Well, I'm happy you approve of the snacks and of the room so far..." she said sweetly but she did file this first impression in the back of her mind. Quote:

She stepped back towards the door and glanced out into the hall to see how many more students were headed that way. OOC: We will be starting in about 30 minutes or so.
