Professor Welton stood in the front of the classroom as she looked out at the three clusters of desks. Normally, she would have just left the desks in a neat rows, but small clusters would work better today. On each desk was a sheet of parchment and a coloured marker.
Walking down the middle, she smiled as she pulled her wand out and flicked it at the door. It was time to let the children in. Silently, the door swung open as she placed her wand back in its holster and made her way back to the front. Standing before the massive map floating in the front of the room, she bounced on her heals slightly.
Patroclus listened to the girls who had spoken first, they both presented excellent points, and the boy nodded in agreement.
However the grilled cheese sandwich he was currently devouring, still made him quite crazy, "I think we as Hogwarts are estatic about it, but can understand that the other schools may be jealous, but as Dianna said, we had Harry Potter, I mean hello? Harry Potter! If any school was going to hold the re-started Tournament, come on, it has to be the one that taught him how to defeat,Volde-Jackson!"
Patroclus smiled, then took a massive bite, nomnomnomnomnom
Ellie chewed on her sandwich. She was on number two and savoring every bite. Or else sandwich four will come tooooo fast.
"Well." she repositioned herself, "I think ANY school would be honored to host. I mean... it's a legendary event. Many people have died when it was hosted at other schools as well. It's just hands down cool."
All this Harry Potter stuff. It's disgusting.

Alice thought about the question. Well to be honest when it came to muggle wars even though the major ones like WWI and WWII weren't fought here, the Americans still had their own role to play, and were still involved, even if it wasn't on their own soil. Not to mention they were major focus points in just about every History class she ever had.
"I think it would be taught with just as much vigor, even if it didn't take place at the other schools it still involved them, you know?" Alice shared with her teammates.

Alice nodded at her thoughts. "I agree. I wonder if any of the other schools are angry that it's not being held at their school? Although Hogwarts should feel pretty excited that it's being held here again," Alice said with a smile.

Before this guy the grilled cheese guy said something about Michael Jackson too. "But I must admit Volde-Jackson?That was hilarious. I could see now that the Dark Lord and Michael Jackson are spinning in their grave." she laughed.

At that Salander had to Laugh.Out.Loud "Right on!" he guffawed, returning Fletcher's fist bump.
SPOILER!!: Fletcher and Rae
Salander punctuated his agreement with a two thumbs up. He was still snickering though, which was intensified when he saw Rae put her head down, obviously trying to keep herself from guffawing just like he did.
"Alright!" he exclaimed as he helped himself to a sandwich. "No nachos?" he asked dissapointedly as he looked at the giant plate, then shrugged and took out a big bite. "Would be nice to have a drink to go with this." he mumbled between mouthfuls, shiftily eyeing Fletcher and Rae.
SPOILER!!: ALice and Ellie and Patroclus
Salander nodded his head in agreement with the others. "Muggles would believe something that is so fantastical like Aliens and Apocalypse rather than something that makes more sense such as other humans like ourselves having special abilities."
Salander's laugh... Seriously made Rae want to laugh more. This time she controlled herself though, while eating her delicious sandwich. Yuuummmm. She was listening to the other people talk when she glanced back at Salander, was he looking between her and Fletcher? What was his deal?

Whatever, back to listening to other people.. This girl... She didn't know this girl, but she sure did talk a lot. One comment however... Was wrong... Did she know who had been chosen? Fletcher was sitting right next to Rae! The girl didn't know? "They aren't all seventh years.." Duhhh

Durmstrang Institute? Well, Louisa wasn't very fond of this one but she had to imagine herself one of them. Hmm let's see, she would've been talking like them in the first place; Vere is the draving room Heehee.
"I'm not sure that Durmstrang Institute students were actually pleased with the news. I mean, I'd prefer the tournament being held at ours (Durmstrang Institute)." Because they were apparently cocky and showing-off addicrs. Meh. "Because we're stronger, tougher and have more odds of winning that we deserved this honor." She paused and hated the way she talked as 'we' for students out of Hogwarts. You could say that she was too loyal to Hogwarts.
"As for history repeating itself like other team mates have mentioned.." She smiled at the two students sitting not far from her, ".. I wouldn't worry about that. Cedric Diggory was a hero although after he was dead, and it wouldn't be a concern that someone becomes hero from Durmstrang Institute." Yeah, they would prefer glory with death than life without it.
Lilyana listened to all that was being said around the room. This tournament is a really big deal to everyone. Me included, of course. I'm pretty excited for it! she thought. She didn't really know what to say, so she just listened to everyone's opinions about it in the class.

Yes, it was quickly approaching the end of the lesson.

Bleh, homework.
....bleh. History of Magic homework.
However, continuing to write down in her notes while she rubbed her dozing off eyes with her other hand, her mood did perk up some when she heard the green team would be portraying the Durmstrang Institute. Hehehe! School of Mr. Mysterious! She really needed to ask someone what that guy's name was.
And then glare at them if they think anything of it.

Cass was pleased that the professor like their answer. Then, while chewing on the sandwich that she had gotten from the plate on the teacher's table earlier, she listened to what else the professor had to say.
Cass listened intently and thought...How did Dumstrang, in their case, felt about the Triwizard tournament happening once again. and here of all places.
"Well, first off, I think everyone would think that it would be like history repeating itself. They're afraid that someone might die once more. I mean, if I remember correctly, Cedric Diggory was one of the first casualties of the second war, right?" Then she stopped, being afraid would be a normal response from any student. But how would Dumstrang, specifically, think? Well...it is a school were dark magic is a normal occurance...Grindelwald did go there...So, she cleared her throat and added "I think, the students of Dumstrang would be less afraid compared to the students of Hogwarts and Beubaxtons...they all know how to effectively defend themselves from the dark arts...and to be honest, from what I heard from my relatives and from previous accounts of former Dumstrang students like Viktor Krum said that dark Arts is just an everyday sight for them..."

Now... teeny bites. Maybe it will taste better that way.
The Prefect listened to one of the other girls in her Green Group. While she had good points, Iris didn't think she answered the question fully. She started talking about fear and whatnot, instead of how the school would feel about it. But, instead of commenting on this, Iris used this girls ideas to elaborate hers more. "I agree with some of what you're saying. Although, I personally think that Durmstrang would have possibly have been a tad annoyed with the fact that Hogwarts got the Tournament." She took another bite out of the sandwich, "Because like you just said. Durmstrang learn the Dark Arts. They're less affraid of them. My guess is that when it got brought back, the Headteacher of Durmstrang - and a lot of the students - would have believed that Durmstrang was better suited for the Tournament for the very reason that the School is built around the Dark Arts. They'd have believed that they could make better challenges et cetera."
Iris smiled a little. "I personally think that if the Triwizard Tournament got reinstated and handed over to Durmstrang, they'd have been very pleased with this achievement... But there must have been some kind of discussion between the Three Heads and the Minister to decide which school got it. And with Dumbledore... Well, the other two heads wouldn't have had a chance, really. Which... would probably have annoyed the Durmstrang lot a fair bit, 'specially if they believed they could host it better." Okay, so this wasn't EXACTLY what the professor asked them to discuss, but it was Iris' opinion on the matter, and she'd tried to make it sound like it would work as part of the discussion. Everyone wins. Teehee.

Keeping her ears open for what her teammates were saying, and cringing at the sight of the apparent grilled cheese (which she noticed were sandwiches and NOT actually cheese that had been grilled), Evelyn turned around in her seat to look at the others. Ew, and some of them were eating the sandwiches!! They were just going to trust the guy to have not put anything in them other than cheese!?
Was there typically anything else in them but cheese actually?
Not that it mattered of course. But back to the discussion. It seemed that everyone basically already said how the Durmstrang school would react to such news. No need to repeat anything. "Yea, I...agree with all of you..." she muttered, waving her hand slightly before slightly turning back around in her seat. Seemed good enough. Yush.

Rubiey spoke up. Again. For the purples who were, like, not talking. Jeez.
"Um, the french are pretty proud people, aren't they? I think, after speaking to a few of them, they feel as if their school should have held it, but I suppose if it was the other way round, we would too. It's such a prestigious tournament, and any school should, and would, be proud to hold it. Although, many of them are also excited to learn about the way we teach here; it's different from what they are used to completely. You know, different cultures, different styles of teaching, different climates. Everything is an experience, I guess. So personally, if I was from one of the other schools, I would be intrigued to not only witness the tournament, but also to learn about other wizards and witches." That had nothing to do with what they were talking about, but no-one else was speaking, so she figured, why not?

Autumn took a bite of her yummy grilled cheese sandwich. "I think she just meant that they're all of age?" she said, looking with a shrug at the girl who'd said the seventh-year thing for confirmation. She could be wrong, but she figured that was probably what the girl had meant. After all, this Fletcher guy was a sixth year, wasn't he?
Thinking more about the question at hand, she said, "You know, I think I'd be excited no matter where the tournament was being hosted if I was participating. But of course, I'd be super proud for it to be held at my school. It's quite an honor, isn't it? And it's also cool because the Hogwarts students who aren't champions can still watch and support their classmates. I think overall, Hogwarts is really excited to be holding the tournament. I know I'm excited to be a part of everything happening, however indirectly."
'Well every school would be honored to host event like this. However, the Tournament is extremely dangerous, and Champions have died while competing. And it happend again. But who cares where is event being held when someone innocent died like Cederic and many others. Right now i would feel more scared than honored.'' Jacqueline said and joined her white team again.
Branwen always one to be the devils advocate decided to included an opposing view, " There are probably some people from durmstrang that would not like the tournament held at their school. The first reason is that holding it at your school may make it possible for someone to discover your exact location. Also, Durmstrang seems like a school that is very proud of their athletics and warrior skills. It always "appears" that everyone from that school is very proficient, but if someone from the outside comes in and sees everyones skills, like first years or new transfer students, then that may make them look less than perfect. Finally, it is thought that they may teach dark arts and it would be wise to not let every one know exactly how much they actually do teach."

Marie sat there listening to what her teammates had to say before she even tried putting in her opinion. Now she was wishing she had taken the time to get to now the current Durmstrang students that were here. Maybe then she would have an idea of what their school thought about the tournament being held at Hogwarts.
Hearing Evelyn pretty much agree with what the others had said she decided it was time to put in her two knuts. "I personally think it didn't matter to them (Durmstrang) where the tournament was held. They seemed confident enough in themselves that they would win that they really didn't need the advantage of the tournament being held at their own school. I mean what better reward than to win a tournament as huge as this when you are completely out of your element... away from your home, your school, your friends and your family. Not to mention they didn't have to worry about everyone finding out where their school is located." Maybe after class she would seek out that Durmstrang guy that was staying in their house and see what his opinion was on this topic.
Amy saw that no one was speaking for the purple team so she stopped writing notes for a moment and spoke up " I think Beuxbatons would have been sort of Angry when they found out it would take place at Hogwarts, probably because they think it should be at Beuxbatons, but I think all three schools are pretty much the same because, i mean who wouldn't want the legendary Triwizard tournament to be held at there school, but I'm suree they'll like it here any way cause it really is great" She looked around at the other purple team members, jeez you guys! start talkin!

Oh ugh, it was Eavesdropper again... Trying to correct Rae. "But what she said was seventh years... I was making a comment that not all the champions are in their seventh year." Her eyes narrowed at Eavesdropper. She always had to be around didn't she? Listening to what Rae was saying. No, Rae had not gotten over the time that Eavesdropper was SPYING in the pathways, destined to destroy Rae's plans.
She looked over at Fletcher, "Congrats on that by the way." Rae said as she smiled at him. Never having thought about Fletcher being champion before, Rae thought of it now... Didn't people... Die? Her facial expression changed with her thoughts, once more she looked at Fletcher, this time she looked worried..

Yes, it was quickly approaching the end of the lesson.
"This will be a quick question, I promise. In honour of our visiting guests, each team will take the view of a school. As we discussed earlier, where you are from will affect how you might view something. The same goes to where you get your education. As I mentioned before, the lessons I was t taught here differed from those I was taught whilst I was at the American Academy. But history is history and you can't change how it happened, but you can change how you are taught it. For example, do you think wars here are taught with the same vigour overseas, where they don't directly affect those it's being taught to?" History of the world can be taught all over, but if it held no meaning, it wouldn't truly have an effect on people.
"Team Green will be the Durmstrang Institute. Team White will have Hogwarts. Team Purple is the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Now, here is the event I want you to discuss. The Tri-wizard Tournament. It has been held between the three schools for sometime before it was stopped. When it was brought back, Hogwarts played home to it. Now thinking about each school and their views, how do you think each school felt about it taking place here?"
Leaning back in his seat, Salander gave the Professor a half-smile. White Team is not doing bad at all. It wasnt everyday that Salander would find himself in the company of people who were hilarious and smart. Or just smart period.
Silently he breathed a sigh of relief when White Team was assigned to represent Hogwarts' POV. Salander speaking in behalf of the Durmstrang perspective would probably not be the best thing, anybody at the Slytherin Table's Opening Feast would tell them that.
SPOILER!!: The White Wizards... and Witches :)

"Yeahhhh.... I agree," Fletcher said, glancing down at his sandwich with a frown. "Hogwarts was probably pretty pumped, just like we are this time around. But I bet we had to give concessions to the other schools since we got to host it....."
And that girl who'd said only seventh years could enter.... yeah, she was wrong. GULP. He nodded at Rae, not really wanting to say anything.

His attention shifted between the members of his group as a spoke. Volde-Jackson? He leaned his head towards Fletcher's direction and chuckled "Dude, maybe the first Tournament Challenge would be-- y'all will be doing the Moonwalk while singing 'Smooth Criminal'. In A ccapella. "
Leaning forward he tossed in his two bits "Well, its easy to say that Hogwarts will be a very proud host school --- I mean just look at how it is now, all the effort of setting up the school and accommodating the guests..." although Salander kinda wished they didnt have to accommodate a particular guest, or maybe just have that hulk bunk away from the Slytherins, preferably somewhere where he has to climb all seven floors of the castle ".... but then you gotta think that not everybody is all happy-pappy with this. Say for example, what do the house elves really feel about all the extra people they have to support? 'Pretty sure some of the guests would have special requests. The house elves has to support that on top of what they're already doing. Or what about the Hogwarts accountant? I'm sure that person is just thrilled having to scribble down all those extra numbers on the expense account. Or what about the Headmaster? I mean we can see that he's real proud of Hogwarts hosting, but just think that he's responsible for everybody-- foreign guests included. Is he really happy having to worry if the guests are feeling comfortable in the castle? If they like the food? If they feel too warm, cold, tired, bored?.... What does he really feel about the possibility that any one of us could get hurt during the Tournament season? "

Kurumi nodded in agreement with her fellow first year Gryffindor purple member. "If I were a student from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and had to go to Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament, I would not be very excited. I would probably be asking what makes Hogwarts better than my school? Why do they always get the homefield advantage? Why can't the tournament be held at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic? If coming to Hogwarts is supposed to be a cultural experience, why can't Hogwarts students attend the other schools?" Kurumi looked around at her teammates hoping that her contribution was helpful. She didn't really know much about Beauxbatons Academy of Magic...or the Triwizard Tournament for that matter.

Lucy was now a student from Durmstrang Institute she didn't like the school but anyways she had to be there sadly "Professor i don't really think that the Durmstrang students would like strangers in their school, nor would like to go to another school for the tournament, there should be a different school which organizes these tournament for different school and would prefer that. They won't like going to other school and be treated like stranger or any stranger coming to their school. So the best would going in an institution which organizes just tournament for the students from different schools" she said and was bit tense to see if the professor did really like the answer or she got confused in the whole stranger thing.

Iris smirked as the boy came back with sandwiches. Grilled Cheese... wasn't really her thing. But she was SOO very hungry. Cautiously taking one off the boys plate, she gave him half a smile. "Thanks..."
Now... teeny bites.
Teehee.

She paused and hated the way she talked as 'we' for students out of Hogwarts.

Not that it mattered of course. But back to the discussion. It seemed that everyone basically already said how the Durmstrang school would react to such news. No need to repeat anything. "Yea, I...agree with all of you..." she muttered, waving her hand slightly before slightly turning back around in her seat. Seemed good enough. Yush.

"I personally think it didn't matter to them (Durmstrang) where the tournament was held. Cassandra nodded at all the things that her team mates said. Yes, she also believed that Dumstrang would be concerned for its security, and it would also be concerned about history repeating itself. After all, There was no Harry Potter to make a daring rescue this time. "Oh, this is going to be hard." Cass said softly as she sighed softly "Maybe we should look at this from a Dumstrang student's perspective. How do they think anyway?"

"Miss Prewett, I really won’t agree with Mister Diggory being the first casuality of the second war. What of Barty Couch Senior and the old caretaker, Frank Bryce?” Sylvie countered. There were so many other causalities of the second war, both muggle and wizard. ”But you have touched what I was looking for and the specific time period as well.” The group was skimming the surface of just what she wanted to hear, but upon looking at the group again, she noticed a few more students ready to share their opintions as well.
Hearing the Slytherin Prefect voice her options, she smiled and nodded slightly. "Miss Beaumont, I think you are also on to something as well. I’m sure there would be some personal prejudice involved with how Durmstrang would feel about the tournament being held at Hogwarts. Their curriculum would be different compared to our own and the lessons taught there would be slightly different as well. Not every school is going to teach the same way or even shed the same light on certain events in history. When the tournament was reinstated, I’m sure there was much talked about before it was decide on the locale. But thank you for that Miss Beaumount, that was rather nicely stated."
Turning her attention to the next student, she listened with a smile. "And thank you, Miss Carter for that as well. It is wrong to completely judge a whole school on the behaviour of a slect few, but somehow, I think you just might have gotten the general consenuse of how a Durmstrang student would feel." Now that was the reaction she was looking for from the discussion. Another mind opened.
Just as she was about to move to the next team, she noticed a few more students willing to offer up their opinions as well. Smiling slightly, she nodded for them to add their thoughts. "Miss Jensen, thank you. I was looking for someone that would touch on that. By hosting the tournament, one allows others to see all you have and some school would prefer that others not know too much about them." The answers was out of the norm for the group, but she did like that these students didn’t all think the same way.
Turning to Miss Salazar, she nodded for her to add her opinion next. "Now, that is an interesting view on it. If a school is confident in themselves the location of the tournament should have no effect on them. And yes, location of their school; most schools don’t want their location to be knew by anyone outside of those enrolled or teaching there. Yes, this does include muggles and wizards."
Looking around, she caught Miss Smith's eyes and nodded. They had time fore one more opinion. Blinking, she slowly nodded her head. "Miss Smith, that is an interesting idea. I'm not completely sure how that would work, but the idea is new to me," she nodded before looking at the rest of the team. "Green Team that was rather good. I think you have managed to touch on what most the Durmstrang students would think. Of course, we are just assuming here, but I think you have done well." She wasn’t one to enjoy assumptions, but for the purpose of the discussion, it was necessary.
Next, it was on to Team Hogwarts. With her hands behind her back, she walked over and smiled.
SPOILER!!: White/Hogwarts

"Well." she repositioned herself, "I think ANY school would be honored to host. I mean... it's a legendary event. Many people have died when it was hosted at other schools as well. It's just hands down cool."
All this Harry Potter stuff. It's disgusting.

SPOILER!!: Team White Answers
"Yeahhhh.... I agree," Fletcher said, glancing down at his sandwich with a frown. "Hogwarts was probably pretty pumped, just like we are this time around. But I bet we had to give concessions to the other schools since we got to host it....."
And that girl who'd said only seventh years could enter.... yeah, she was wrong. GULP. He nodded at Rae, not really wanting to say anything.

SPOILER!!: The White Wizards... and Witches :)
”Yes, Miss Malfoy, That is the point I was trying to get across before, different perspectives on the same event in history. History is still history, but it is just delivered in a different manner. I hardly think that abroad certain events would be covered in depth as they are here though; as such details might not involve them.” she replied to the young Slytherin. "Yes, I’m sure all the students and professors were happy to have such an honour to be hosting the tournament again, especially after its lengthy hiatus." she added before moving to the next student.
"Yes, Miss Salvatore. That is actually the year I was thinking about. But I really highly doubt that anything that severe will be happening this time around. If it was not safe, do you really think that the tournament would continue being held year after year?" Yes, there was a bit of danger involved and all, but would they really put the children in that much danger? No, nothing terrible was going to happen.
Noticing the young Slytherin in the corner, she nodded as he voiced his view as well. "Mister Cartwright, yes I believe you are on to something. With such an honour bestowed on Hogwarts, I’m sure that extra precautions were put into place. Safety of all the students is after all, our main concern. With what has happened in the past, I highly doubt that anyone would not think to be prepared for anything possible incidents."
Turning her attention back to the two Slytherin girls, she listened to their conversation. It was nice to see them relating it back to present day, be she was a bit concerned as they weren’t completely staying focused on what she was trying to focus on. Perhaps she would have better luck with the next students. Oh it was Mister Hudson, this should be interesting. "Okay, it is clear that the school would be excited and perhaps the itself was a bit over confident about it with who they had as champions, but really that was neither here or there."
Well, she did have high hopes for the team to offer something a bit more, but there were still more students to hear. Moving on she looked to the young Ravenclaw and smiled. "Yes it is a legendary event and in its history there have been many incidents that have resulted in injuries and possible death, but those would have happened no matter which school hosted the event."
Again, she turned her attention to the next student and smiled to the Gryffindor. "Miss Page, I’m sure it would be taught at all the visiting schools, but would it be taught in the same way or would the same light be shined on it. We have to remember that each person will interpet what they are taught in a different way and went passing on that knowledge it is very possible that it will be shown in a different light."
At least each team was discussing their views, it was going rather nice in her opinion.
Turning her head slightly, she looked to Fletcher and smiled. "Yes, thank you for adding that fact. Each school does get the honour of hosting and perhaps it is just the luck of the draw. I do believe that maybe not everyone is all that thrilled about the hosting being here though. Yes, the vast majority was probably pumped, as you say, just I’m sure there might have been a few that weren’t pleased by it." Was it really possible for everyone to be happy about it?
With the addition of more opinions, she nodded and took note of what each person had to add. They were all coming up with what the same general idea and there wasn’t much debate, even if a few of them were a bit off topic with the time and all. She would allow it just this once.
About to move on to the next team, she heard the another voice and stopped to listen again. "Thank you, Mister Salander for bring up that point as well. There is a lot to take into account when something like this is taking place. It isn’t all about the champions and the tasks, the tournament affects a lot of people, creatures and things. It’s rather refreshing that you mentioned that."
Yes, she really did like how this team thought. They made her smile with their answers. "Again you have nicely presented all the opinions that I was looking for and even managed to surprise me with some of your answers. Good job." she replied as she turned to the last team.
Now it was the moment of truth, Team Beauxbatons was the quietest team and she worried a bit about just what they would come up with.

She looked at her fellow teammates, hoping that someone speak up, perhaps she'd speak up too, if one of them would, but no one did yet. And she had no definite idea about what to say yet.
maybe if she spoke up, they would say something too? she took a deep breath and opened her mouth, hoping her voice would be audible. Gosh, the petite girl was too shy! her mind was racing; just say it! she scolded herself mentally.
"u-um...m-maybe..." she bit her lip. " i-i'm not r-really sure...about h-how Beauxbatons feel...with the triwizard tournament held here, but...d-don't you think t-they'll be a bit hostile...considering it wasn't held at their school, but then again...won't they be kind of excited to be able to go...to visit Hogwarts or something? she was practically wringing her fingers together and looking down on her lap, hoping that her teammates would speak up, or atleast, heard her.

"I if i was a Beauxbatons student i would be excited to visit another school for the Tournament. But i am sure i would be more proud if the tournament was held at my school. In my country. For sure the journey would be more excting for the champion cause all of the forgein students came to be one.But also traveling to another school in another countrey would be interesting cause of the contacts you could make and the forgein culture and language. But also the winning aspect would play a huge role. If the tournament was held in france and a champion from another country would win, it would lower my ego as a beauxbatons student. So there are upsides and downsides for bauexbatons to be here."
Fee took a deep breath, that was much.

"Miss Olsen, there is no need to be nerves, No answer is wrong. I just want to hear everyone’s opinion. There is a possibility there might be hostility, but the tournament is also held there on occasion as well. Hogwarts just had the honour of hosting it the year we are talking about." she replied with a comforting smile. There really wasn’t any need to be nervous, she didn’t bite and she was almost certain none of the other students did as well. Offering another smile, she moved on to the next student.
"Miss Scharzberg, thank you for that. I think you grasped the topic wonderfully. There are pros and con to everything, thank you for pointing that out. I’m sure that choice of the tournament being held at any of the three school would gain both praise and complaints." she voiced to the Slytherin. Not everyone would be pleased with every decision made in the world and this was yet another example that not everyone would be happy.
"Miss O’Rielly, that would be a huge generalization, but for the sake of argument, I will allow it. I’m sure there are certain prejudices that each school would have and I’m sure as well that the other schools would have preferred that their own school was hosting it. Thank you though, for also bring up the fact that everyone could benefit from the exposure to different cultures. If the tables were turned and we were the vistors, wouldn’t you feel the same way?"
Looking around the team for perhaps another opinion, she notices Miss Goldblossom and her slight frustration with her group. "A semi neutral opinion for the most part, I do like that Miss Goldblossom. When it comes down to it, I’m sure the excitement of the tournament would make people forget any prejudice about the location." Catching the young Gryffindor’s look, she shook her head before looking on to the next student. There had to be at least one more student in the team that wanted to add something.
Looking to another first year Gryffie, she smiled. Ah, another brave soul that wanted to be heard. "Yes, I’m sure such questions were asked when the decision was made, but we have to keep in mind that each school does get to host the tournament. I really doubt it’s a matter of one school being better than the others. But it does make you think, just how did they pick the first school to host the tournament after its reinstatement." she replied before taking a step back and heading to the front once again. The last team was almost there, now just if they would discuss a bit more.
Perhaps the students just weren’t as chatty as expected. Maybe discussions weren’t their thing. She would have to take that into account for later.
"Well class, I think I have picked your brains enough for today and seeing as most of you still seem to be with us; here is the homework for this lesson." she smiled as she flicked her wand at the board in front of the room.
Quote:
HoM Lesson One Homework
Part One: (worth 4 points)
How can history differ from place to place?
Name one event that occurred during late June/early July of 1996 that was discussed in class?
What happened at the Battle of the Dept. of Mysteries?
What effects did the summer of 1996 have on both the muggle and wizarding world?
Part Two: (worth 6 points)
Choose any historical event from the past century. Taking the opposite view point, write a minimum of a foot parchment on the event. If you are of pureblood heritage, take the viewpoint of someone of muggle heritage. For those of mixed heritage, you are feel to pick a viewpoint. You are not limited to just these options. Any opposite view point will work, do explain your option in your parchment.
OCC: I'm looking for at least 3-4 paragraphs. Each paragraph should at least be four sentences long. There is no need to get too put of hand with it. I just want to see some thought put into it. Please refer to the HoM Classroom Rules for the instructions for submitting homework and all rules pertaining to such.
"All homework should be owled to me, but if you have any trouble with the assignment, don't hesitate to come to my office. I'll be happy to answer any questions you many have. Class dismissed."
OOC:Just a side note, thank you everyone for making my first lesson an interesting one. I think it went well, but thank you again for playing along with me. It really means a lot to me.
Lucy was happy to see that the Professor liked her points. She was sad to see the class getting over so soon she wanted it for a long. She heard the professor saying about the homework she quickly removed her parchment and wrote down her work and then looked at the professor and said "Great lesson Professor, i enjoyed it a lot, Thanks" she said and smiled.

Alice smiled and nodded at Professor Welton's remarks. Even though the class was finished she was still going to take into consideration how different places may teach a major event in history compared to others.
As Professor Welton walked away to address to other team Alice smiled at everyone. She seemed to really like their thoughts and opinions. "Nice job everyone," Alice said, somewhat quietly. I mean, did people really care that she thought they did a nice job?
