As you walk down the first floor corridor headed towards the History of Magic classroom, the faint sounds of music can be heard coming from that direction. It's not all that loud and seems more for the benefit of Professor Glendower as she is putting herself in the proper mindset for class.
Outside the classroom door hangs a large, ornate sign with the message, Make an Entrance. It is the same sign that hung outside the room last year, but she has written in her own flowery cursive the word Respectfully underneath it as she realized that some students needed the reminder. She was all about creativity and individual interpretation, but it was important to be nice too!
Once inside the classroom, you'll find Professor Glendower who might be singing along to the music as she happily dances through the rows of chairs, placing a chocolate frog on each desk. Welcome to History of Magic!

He wasn't wrong!!! Or at least, she didn't SAY he as wrong... but she seemed too happy and girly and sing songy to be the type to tell a kid they're stupid. He wasn't sure if he liked this or not. On the one hand, he couldn't handle super happy girly people... on the other hand, at least she wouldn't hurt his feelings???? Still, she was an oddball.

"So we've learned that the trading cards could possibly be a marketing tool used by the candy manufacturer to increase sales, but that part isn't really what we are interested in for today's lesson." "We are going to be focusing on another aspect that many of you brought up. There is a lot of historical and factual information on these cards regarding many important figures in magical history. One of the best parts of these cards is that it's a fun way to learn about history, without really knowing you're learning something!" And she just thought that was the best! Which was something she always tried to incorporate in her classes - having fun and learning something in the process. "And certainly you can make a game of it with the trading aspect. Trying to collect them all, trading with your friends.. learning in the process. And, just like someone had offered - the cards present the information in a fun, concise form. You aren't overwhelmed with information." And a lot of people learned best that way. "And not only that, but as a couple of you mentioned, they could even be inspiration." Why wouldn't they be? They were all pretty great.
"I am so proud of you all for not peeking at your card yet. I know how tempting it can be!" Her wide smile was still present, even though she knew there was one of two that did look. "Keep it secret still.. it's almost time to look! But before we do that.. one more question. What kind of witch or wizard is found on these trading cards? You don't need to name any specifics.. but why would one wizard get his own trading card and not another? How does that get determined?"
On top of not being able to look at their cards still, they had to answer more questions?!?!? Ugh.....
It was fairly straight forward too, and pretty much everyone had said it. The people DID things that were IMPORTANT, that ACHIEVED something. They were so important that they were worth remembering. They were... what's the word?........
....
In... no... Va.... no ... "Significant!" he said, his hand waving in the air now. "Significant... they were a part of things worth remembering, good or bad."
They had been a PART of history... with like, a legacy and stuff. He was sure that ALL the important adventurers EVER had a card too - provided they weren't muggles, but even THEY were remembered in the muggle world in similar ways.
Darius was ready for whatever question would be asked next, now that his mouth wasn't fill with sweet deliciousness of chocolate. It was very interesting listening to what his peers had to say, but he wasn't one to just sit back shyly and listen. He had collected quite a few of cards over the summer time and while most of the famous people he had never heard of there was one he had seen and knew about even in the non-wizarding world.
"You would have to do something worth remembering to be placed on the card, usually something new and unique. I believe that some are even famous to muggles because they had some kind of impact on them even if their magical abilities were unknown," he said, after raising his hand of course. "Can only witches and wizards get their name on a card?" One summer wasn't enough time to learn all the simpler things after going your whole life not knowing there was real magic in the world. It had been overwhelming and he had found his attention wandering to cooler things like broomstick, not the history of famous people on cards. However, all of the cards he had seen over the summer were only witches and wizards.
Angel looked at the Professor and raised her hand. "I was going to say be the Minister of Magic but not all of them are on the cards... so I take it you have to do something amazing like pass an amazing law that helps the wizarding world if you want to have your own card in the frog... though I take it the very first Minister of Magic will have one because well they were super cool and created the post." Angel smiled as she thought about what she was saying.

Still choosing not to repeat the previous replies of others in the room Hady kept quiet. Reaching across her desk she picked up a bit of parchment and her quill jotting down a few lines about some of the answers given. If she wasn't going to answer herself she might as well keep some good notes on the topic.
Setting the quill down she closed up the box that still contained her chocolate frog, minus the card which was still sitting on her desk and set it into her bag. Right now she didn't feel much like eating chocolate but she was becoming slightly curious as to whom was on her card...maybe it was someone her father didn't have in his collection at home?

An interesting way to think of them. SMIRK. It really was, wasn't it? He liked that compliment, as long as 'interesting' wasn't code for freaking weird. Did he mean that they were the inspirational bunch? Grayson wasn't sure but that was something that he was going to take note of. Glendower had put it in better terms than he had so why not?
Scribble...... scribble.... scribble.....
How can it be determined who should be placed on a chocolate frog card? Dead simple. "Well, it's not gonna be given to any old idiot, now is it? You have to do something remarkable, probably change something in the wizarding world or discover something. You do that and you're pretty much guaranteed a spot on one of those bad boys." Or, as someone else had pointed out, by being the Minister of Magic. He wasn't sure whether he wanted to do something like THAT but it would be cool to be on one of these cards. he could almost imagine turning the thing over and imagining his handsome face smirking up at him.
Sigh.
Also, he was kinda itching to see what chocolate frog card he'd gotten.
"I think you have to be notable, Professor," Archie piped up from where he'd been intensively writing notes and eyeing the chocolate frog in front of him, wondering whether he wanted to eat it now or save it for later. "But they're not all leaders or people who've done real good or bad - some are for really cool or funny or silly stuff." He searched for an example. Oh, of course! How could he forget the one that kind of shared his name? "Like Archibald Alderton, who blew up a whole village when trying to make a birthday cake...and he didn't even get to the bit with candles!"
Hmm.. Cutty’s answer was quite thoughtful though she hadn’t really considered the wealth in the cards, at least not in the literal sense. “Well, that is an interesting way to look at it..” she answered after mulling it over for a moment. “And yes, it is a great way to reach the masses!” That was what she got most out of his answer anyway.. because she thought it was a great way to educate a lot of people while still being great fun.
"Wonderful, insightful answers, students!" Nessa smiled widely at them all, approving of their input. Even the ones she thought were slightly off. She picked at the wrapper of the second chocolate frog she'd conquered. They were hers by right now and it would seem the cards had pictures of icons in this society she'd come to. Interesting. She demanded her face on one.
"People of power, obviously. Those who crush the inferior and make their stance amongst those of the same great prowess." Which obviously meant she needed one. How did one go about getting their face on these things anyway? Idly, she flicked her new card from side to side, watching the picture watching her.

...Cutty found the reasons for certain normal social behaviours to be absolute nonsense. Not as in he didn't value them, but as in they literally made no sense. His own personal rabbit hole where the rules were things like sit with your legs crossed for half an hour on Sunday and not on Monday or both of your legs shall be cast off forever. He was asked to do all number of social acrobatics with what appeared to his somewhat anti-social brain as inconsistent. The punishments never fit the crimes, which were all supposed at best to Cutty.
It was confusing to a boy who had no idea he was in fact, not a real boy, but an automaton of sorts. So when the Professor asked them to explain why people judged certain things as good and certain things as bad, he had nothing to say on the matter. Nothing to say.
He did, however opening up his card.

Nessa grinned at the girl new to her class this year as she offered her answer. “They are cool, aren’t they?” Even Professor Glendower herself had a collection of trading cards. A complete collection, mind you. “And they are a fantastic way to educate the general public about important people from our history.” Spot on.
"Wonderful, insightful answers, students!" Nessa smiled widely at them all, approving of their input. Even the ones she thought were slightly off. Eden smiled. Wow. The professor had TOTALLY liked her answer. That was cool. She felt all..tingly. Was doing well in school always this satisfying? Why hadn't done this at Durmstrang? GAH. Everyone else had pretty good answers, too, but she didn't think the famous people on the cards was just a marketing ploy. But THAT was another debate.
She was itching to see who she had. ITCHING. She had a bunch of cards at home in a shoebox somewhere. She didn't, like, take care of them, really, but she did have a bunch. Maybe she'd have to take a look through once she got back home and try to sift through them--and maybe even put them in a nice book or something. It would be nice to have for her future kids and whatnot.
HOW did one get to be on a card? Eden smirked and raised her hand. "Well, Professor, I'm pretty sure you don't have to be dead--" like some people were saying. "Most of them are dead, though, but I think that's just because time continues and their memories just...live on." Yes? But Eden was babbling. "I mean--I think you just have to do something really great OR really noteworthy--something that is going to be remembered--and BAM--you got your face on a card!" She grinned up at Professor Glendower and hoped this answer was all right.

"Do you have to be a hero?" Marigold asked, her hand in the air. "Or maybe invent something amazing?" Because most of the cards she had came from heroes or heroines that fought and won a war. But never lost a war. History was told by the winners, after all.
Agatha sure thought professor Glendower was slightly odd in her teaching methods, but the woman was a dancer, so kudos for that. She was - almost - automatically a fan.
She raised her hand before answering the second part of the question, because everybody had already said pretty much everything about the first part. "I think the people who determine who gets featured in Chocolate Frog cards are like... from the Ministry of Magic. Like the ones who decide who gets those special mentions and... titles. Like people who are chosen to be part of the Order of Merlin and such."
...That made sense, didn't it? Agatha resisted to urge to look around and try to see by her classmates' facial expressions if they had understood what she said. It made sense! She was confident. If they hadn't understood what she meant, it was their fault, not hers. Her communication skills were amazing.
Order of Merlin..... she wondered if there was an 'Order of Morgana'. She wanted to be part of that one.

Maddie would be on a chocolate frog someday, that much she KNEW. And she wasn't going to be DEAD when it happened, either. The brunette eyed that older boy who'd said THAT nonsense and raised her eyebrows. That COULDN'T be a real requirement. Perhaps he was thinking of the headless hunt. Perhaps. If NOT, she could safely say HE probably wouldn't ever be on a chocolate frog card for his smarts.

All the ideas that Caleb came up with were already said...but naturally, Caleb wasn't going to just sit back and let everyone else take the glory. He raised his hand and cleared his throat, ready to make his contribution to the conversation.
"Well, we've all seemed to establish the fact that you have to have done something 'significant' to get on a card - but I'm sure you could also BUY your way onto a card. There has to be some sort of committee who makes the cards and decides who goes on them. Plus, you could go on there for a BAD thing," he added. Like You-Know-Who. Granted, his badness was significant and shaped like...the whole world, but still, it wasn't like he'd just invented a potion or something.

History hadn’t been Layla’s favourite subject at school, in fact she had dropped it as a subject going into year ten. But now here she was kinda expected to take it and as she had promised her parents, she was going to give everything a go, which meant all the lessons too. Whether she took exams in them was another matter but she would certainly try.
And try she was until the Professor basically in her opinion put her down. The girl frowned in response but didn’t answer back. The woman was wrong! She had taken business studies and economics she knew how marketing worked. They were propaganda and it DID rely on people’s gullible attitudes for they were stupid enough to fall for it. Professor probably knew nothing about how businesses worked.
Meh.
She didn’t want to answer the next question because of her current attitude but she wanted the points and the credit and she didn’t want to look stupid answerless and bored out of misery. She stuck her hand up anyway. “I guess it’s the type of people they want us to know about. Ain’t about whether they’ve done something special or claimed to do something special but those that act as ‘models’ to the rest of us whether good or bad.” She’d never come across one of these cards before but she assumed they weren’t all about inventors and good people but some might have been dark wizards. All were probably exemplar in their fields.
There. That was probably wrong too but she wasn’t offering any more. At least she tried.
Fine, fine it wasn't that--whatever. Don't lose your marbles, Glendower. Biting pieces off the struggling chocolate frog Beverly jotted down a few pointers she felt were good enough. Normally she'd do the opposite of what she was told, but seeing as she has a ton of collectible cards, she wasn't so keen as to peek. The chocolate frog was much more interesting. Yum.
All too soon she finished the sweet. Sad.
But that was less of a distraction and she could answer the next question. She raised her hand...again. "They must of have probably done something over the top that changed the Wizard world in some way." People tended to remember those type of actions.
Her eyes wandered a bit and they landed on Ruby a few seats away. Was she going to eat her chocolate frog? :|

Okay, so the professor didn't really like her answer. But really, she found card collecting boring and this class was quickly losing her attention. Even with the chocolate frog, which she finished by popping the last of it into her mouth, chewing and swallowing.
The next question wasn't helping either, what with the question being answered quickly and everyone just repeating over and over again. When were they going to get to the point of this lesson? Because this surely couldn't be it.

He thought the answer to this question was very obvious, so Dima focused more on selecting the bits he was nibbling off his chocolate frog than his classmates' answers. After recent events, it was a bit difficult to stay upbeat and positive for the duration of the lesson, but he was TRYING, ok? Plus he had the attention spam of a fish, which didn't help much.
But Glendower did. All of his attention was always on HER, duh.
"I think you should have your OWN chocolate frog card, professor." Could she see the little hearts in his eyes?

He had done a good job of keeping his head down and refocusing. Wasn't Alexa's fault really. Really wasn't. But now-
Wait-had Glendower done something awesome? Kyroh's head turned slowly from the Professor to Dima. No..he didn't think so. So then why would she need her own chocolate frog card? She hadn't doing anything significant. Blinking, Kyroh rested his chin on his desk, thinking about the question before FINALLY an answer seeped into his brain.
"You have to have an Order of Merlin. And if not then you're name goes into a hat with the names of all the other wizards in the world and they randomly select other people to have chocolate frog cards along with the people who have Order of Merlins." And THAT'S why Dima thought Glendower needed her own card. Cause she had a high chance of being selected, yeah?

What did a witch or wizard have to do to be on a chocolate frog card? Penelope didn't eat chocolate, so she didn't really care about chocolate frog cards. She didn't have anything new to say about the cards, so she just took notes on what other people said.
At the second question, the Gryffindor finally raised his hand to contribute something to the discussion. "I think it would depend on the level of achievement and positive influence they had on the wizarding world," he answered as he lowered his hand. It made sense that better know wizards be included, especially for the idea that it was a marketting scheme.
Nessa nodded at Benjamin as he gave an answer to her second question. “Yes, many of those featured on cards have had some measure of achievement or positive influence.. good.” Though there were others that those attributes didn’t quite apply. But he got a big smile for his insightful answer.

They don't have bad guys on the cards, or at least I've never gotten a dark wizard. I think they pick the ones who did important enough stuff that will give younger kids an overview of history and how things have changed." OR they just looked good in pictures, which was PROBABLY true but didn't have anything to do with class.
Another raised hand and Nessa gave a nod in the girl’s direction to call on her. “Oh but there are dark wizards on some of the cards,” she replied with a smile, still quite pleased with her answer. “But generally people featured hold some importance in history, yes.”

But whatever. New question to come. New question to think about. New question to try and answer. First though, "Unicorns don't live on farms." They live in stables or the forest or something like that.
"Mostly old witches and wizards. Growing wrinkly and fragile in the bones and skin." Honesty, yep, he was all for saying what he felt. "It probably has to do with the fact that this witch or wizard is already well known in the public magical community eye. Not any ol' doof is gonna have the chance to be on there. I mean, unless you're some genius who found a new cure or something. You've got to have done something profound that made everyone turn their heads."
He hadn’t? Nessa looked upon this student with a surprised expression. “Oh plenty of people trade and collect the cards. I did when I was younger.. and quite a few of your classmates had just said they did..” Was he not paying attention? That was a bit troubling as attentiveness was important for learning. Maybe he didn’t himself or traveled in a small circle of kids that looked down on fun, but the boy got a smile regardless and she listened to him expand on his thoughts, first commenting to AJ’s reply. “Typically unicorns don’t live on farms..” That much was true, but that wasn’t what AJ had said anyway. “But she did say someone could start one.. and that just might be inventive enough to land someone on a card, especially if it was the first one.” And a successful one, though that wasn’t necessarily important. But back to his answer to the second question. “Well, usually the witches and wizards were well-known at one time in the community.” And the cards did help to keep them from being forgotten. “And it’s true that typically they’ve done something noticeable to land their faces there.. but they don’t have to be old!” At this, Nessa smiled widely at the boy. They were old or deceased now, but not all of them were when they gained a lucrative spot on a card.

Half wished they were somewhere else and she couldn't blame them. Maleficent didn't want to be here herself but she'd already arrived and when invited you did not decline so here she sat unmoving, still quite comfortable in the Professor's desk.
Hang on. Was this the Merlin everyone spoke of???
Alexa Cambridge was officially on Professor Glendower’s nerves. Even award-winning performances had their limits and this one had gone past that now. She was frowning now, something that she rarely did, but she found it rather disheartening that there always seemed to be something happening in her class to prevent it from running smoothly. And apparently this class’s disruption would come from the Head Girl who certainly was taking the position to extremes. She did not want to stifle anyone’s creativity but there also had to be a sense of order and respect, something that one of her housemates had to learn the hard way last term.. and it would seem that she did as well.
“That will be five points from you, Miss,” she informed her, shaking her head in disappointment as she flicked her wand at the chocolate frogs she had yet to return, sending them all back to their rightful owners. She’d let her keep one for class purposes as all were meant to have one. “Now you’ll either go back to your seat and follow directions like the rest of the class,” she stated calmly but firmly. “Or you may leave.” And she really hated to kick her out but the girl was being far too disruptive to the rest of the class for Nessa to be able to teach properly.. or at least the way she found to be most effective. And if she continued to be disruptive, maybe the girl needed detention. Certainly nothing Nessa wanted to do, but sometimes children needed to learn the hard way. It seemed to serve Kevin well as he was behaving much more respectfully and eagerly today.

Making sure that his posture was perfectly straight, he raised his hand. He agreed with most of the answers that other students had given. "They put wizards that have done something that has either benefited or detracted from society. I guess on the subject of the Dark Wizards and why they put them on cards, could it be to to make sure that we learn from their mistakes..?" he offered.
She could always count on Simon to have thoughtful answers and this time was no different. Nessa smiled brightly at the boy, nodding after she heard all that he had to say and had a second to think it over. “Good way of putting it. They aren’t just beneficial things that can get someone on a card, it can be something that has had a negative effect too. Yes, history serves as an important reminder that we need to learn from pasr mistakes.” Always learning from the ones that came before us. Very good point.

Harry Potter on the other hand was an extremely popular and notable wizard.
”Those are probably good words to describe most of those that end up on a card,” Nessa said after taking a moment to think over Ian’s answer. She wasn’t sure how popular many of them were, though being on a card could have contributed to their later popularity as well.

Nessa gave the young Slytherin a smile as she offered an answer as well. She was right, some did seem less famous or at least less widely known. And there was a reason for that, though it was also interesting that a select few of those would be on a card as well. “Yes.. all of them are at least notable in one way or another. Some in more significant ways than others. And yes! There is a nominating process..” Good job.

Hand up. “Aside from them doing great things for the wizarding community, I guess they are featured in the cards to inspire other witches and wizards, especially the younger ones.” Who, apparently likes chocolate? Yeah, definitely.
”Many of them are a great inspiration,” she nodded happily, beaming brightly at the prefect. That had been mentioned earlier but it could stand to be mentioned again. “But not all.. there are some dark wizards in the mix as well..” And she’d hope that bright young Ethan would not be inspired by the likes of Herpo the Foul.

Nessa nodded a bit at this girl’s answer, agreeing in theory. “Though they’ve done notable things, sometimes a bit of popularity is a contributing factor.” In fact, she could think of a few cards that were ore based in popularity than notable accomplishment. But she liked those cards too.

Another thoughtful, concise answer and Nessa gave Jasmine an approving smile. “True.. something unique, something monumental.. and some of them are firsts of something.” Quite insightful to mention that as well.

Something like he would say but he had something to add. He raised his hand and commented, "Professor I think they are determined by their achievements and their choices of what they did to try and help the wizarding world?" He guessed on the last part but it seemed logical to him.
Nessa nodded a bit at Kace’s answer. “Many achieved things to help the wizarding world.. but not all. There are some dark wizards in there too. Why do you think they are included as well?” Because the things they did didn’t directly help the community though their effects may have caused things to change the community in a positive way.

”Many did do things that were wonderful or cool,” Nessa nodded happily at the young girl, still smiling somewhat brightly. “But don’t forget those included that didn’t do such wonderful things.” Wizards that were dark or those that did cool yet not all that life-altering things. “Why do you think those people got their own cards?”

It was pretty much what other people had said, but it perfectly followed her last answer as an elaboration of it, so... she figured it was worth adding anyway.
Nessa thought over Sophie’s answer next once she spoke her thoughts aloud. She supposed the manufacturers had a big hand in selecting just who was featured on a card. “Oh many of them are a big inspiration to the community with their accomplishments, aren’t they?” she beamed at her as she answered. “But there are some in there that aren’t quite so inspiring as well..”

"Because they have to sell the chocolates, so I reckon they'd choose witches and wizards that are not only well known, but well-liked too! And pretty." But also, who even thought about the card when they had the chocolates? Well... Okay, no. Zander did care about the cards- he had a collection of 'em- but just the chocolates were priority, youknow?
Nessa thought this answer over as well as she tapped her finger in her chin. That was a possibility.. at least for some of them. “Marketability could be a factor in at least some. There are many that are well-known, though some have become that way through the cards themselves.” Or at least made people become more aware of them when their memories could have faded. “I can’t say that all of them were well-liked though.. or attractive..” Though that was something of a relative term. Eye of the beholder and all.

Nessa gave the boy a wide smile at his answer. “That is a perfect word for it! Significant.. the vast majority of the people found on the cards did something significant in the wizarding world.” Some much more than others who seemed to be there because of popularity more than achievement, but for the most part that was about it.

Something worth remembering.. that was another good way to put things and Nessa smiled widely as she nodded her agreement. “That is generally true.. and I would imagine some of them are famous to muggles as well..” She had heard of things like that in her readings, though she couldn’t say from personal experience. Maybe he could let her know of that himself.. ? “Well, they are called Wizard trading cards.. so yes,” she smiled pleasantly at the boy. “But there are other types of cards too..” Though they wouldn’t be discussing those today.

Angel smiled as she thought about what she was saying.
Oh that was a good answer or at least a guess and Ness smiled at the girl’s response. “Some things like that do help.. but no, the first Minister isn’t found on a card. There are other Ministers that are..” Hmm, it was curious that the first Minister of Magic wasn’t though..

Oh, notable was another key word and Nessa nodded encouragingly at Archie. She already had a feeling he was quite adept at history and he was doing quite well in class so far. “Right.. some are more notable than others. Some are interesting in their own right, but all have done something significant.. at least in someone’s eyes.” She supposed at times it could be considered relative.

Anyone else with an answer? Nessa didn’t want to stifle anyone, even if the answers were starting to sound like reworded versions of the same thing. Brown eyes fell on Penelope next, but she remained silent. That was perfectly fine though as long as she was paying attention.. which she appeared to be. She gave her a reassuring smile before moving on.
"Wonderfully insightful answers, everyone!" Nessa beamed at the class as she moved to the center of the room again. "Some of the most fitting words we've gathered from the discussion are significant, remarkable, notable, and memorable. Typically, those that found their way onto cards have done something that one of those words describe.. or have had something happen to them. Sometimes they were the first to do something. Many could be consider role models – whether positive or negative.. though that may just be one person’s opinion as well.. And some were just very well-known in our culture during their time and they found their way onto cards – such as a few of the musicians and Quidditch players that are included."
"So we are going to play a little game to learn more about those that are featured on the trading cards." Many of them would know her and her teaching methods well enough by now to guess what was coming next. And the rest would learn soon enough. "Go ahead and peek at your card now.. BUT.. don't let anyone else see!" That part was important. "Read over the information, absorb it, try to get into the mind of the person who is featured on your card. Then.. you are going to become that person for the remainder of the class and try to have others guess who you are by the information you give them.. without giving away the name. Unless they don't get it after a couple of guesses of course. As always, there are props and costumes in the boxes at the back of the room." If they really wanted to get into character of course. And that would help with the game if they dressed in period pieces or carried a specific prop. "If you need a reminder of who all are on the cards, the names are up on the board." She waved her wand and a list of names appeared there.
OOC - Claim a name from this list and that is the card that your character has and needs to portray. As there are 101, please do not pick one that someone else already has claimed. I will do my best to keep track of who all has what in this post and in the first post - put it in your title for easy reference for me, please. It is up to you to find information on that character that may be listed on the card and then portray that character through costume, props, and/or facts that your character would tell another to try to guess who they may be. Then have your character try to guess someone else's. Try to guess as many others or have as many characters guess yours as you want, but this must be done in 5 posts. Make sense? Have questions? Don't hesitate to ask me.

Was Dima making EYES at the professor? Maddie had noticed and eyebrows were most certainly raised. She wasn't quite sure Glendower had done anything worthy of earning a spot on a chocolate frog card but good on D for sucking up to her. It was always beneficial to have professors on your side, especially when you were trying to rule the school. And eventually the world.
As for this whole having to act out a character for the REST of class, THIS second year was less than enthused. She didn't fancy being this-Herman Wintringham FELLOW as she was a LADY and not particularly great at ACTING. SPEAKING of, Glendower KNEW this was History of Magic, yes? Not Drama 101. Merlin help her if the remainder of the lesson didn't fly by. Also, the Head Girl should probably stay away from her as Maddie was NOT a fan right now.
...Was there a LUTE in that prop box?
She went to see. Got herself some WROCK-worthy clothing too. Also a wig. Hairy, Herman was. Haircuts WERE a thing, yeah?

At least she had received a useful and positive response from her answer this time than she had the last time. The girl stopped frowning but wasn’t one hundred percent happy with this lesson. She managed a smile at the professor and proceeded to scribble down some notes about history and chocolate frog cards and whatnot. All the mean time her chocolate frog was still wrapped up in its packet eager to get out. She picked it up before raising her voice to the class. “Anyone want this?” she asked. You know, someone take the chocolate. She really didn’t want it.
As for the task they had to do, Layla was a muggleborn and had no idea who was famous in the magical world let alone how on Earth she was meant to portray them. She stared down at the card before flipping it over.
Rowena Ravenclaw?
Okay. She knew OF this woman, the founder of her own house hence the name but she didn’t know what exactly she was like. It was a start at least, she could offer some rather obscure or rather obvious clues like pointing at her uniform. Still.. “Professor?” her hand raised as she bit the bottom of her lip slightly. “What about those of us who are muggleborn? Can we look at our textbooks to see who these people were?” Cos you know, she didn’t know where to start.

Jasmine opened her chocolate frog and peeked inside to see which card she had gotten. She was surprised to see that it was Ignatia Wildsmith, someone that she she was not very familiar with. Jasmine took a moment to read the information listed in the card, and tried to think of ways that she could portray the inventor of floo powder and fellow member of her illustrious house.
Looking at the picture on the trading card, Jasmine raised an eyebrow when she saw Ignatia's strange resemblance to a certain Mistress of All Evil. Oh this was going to be interesting. Jasmine took her card and headed over to the costume box, looking for some inspiration.

Norah reached eagerly for her card and flipped it over. Gwenog Jones? Aw MAN, she already had about a hundred of those. Sigh. She walked over to the costume box to see if there was anything resembling Quidditch robes in there. at least it wouldn't be TOO hard to act out, right?
So that was an interesting activity. Dante had to act like the person that was on his card. It was a good as time as any to see if he could act. Though he thought this would be more of an write and take notes class and not performing.
Dante opened the chocolate frog on his desk. Hmm.. well that is an interesting name. Andros the Invincible. Was he really invincible. If he was, wouldn't he would still be alive today.
Still cool name.
So this guy was from Greece. Dante could read that much at least. So that meant toga. Well time to find a sheet to wear up front in the costume box then.
