Lainey was dressed in vivid pink today. She'd never been so happy in all her life and it showed. Her ropes were pink, her shoes, her tights, her dress, her cheeks and lips. She had bought some candy from Honeydukes and each desk had a small mound of Peppermint Humbugs on it.
Lainey propped open her door and was ready to start her first lesson of the new term. | |

Evangeline walked into the HoM classroom and blinked when she found Professor Lainey. Whooooa. So much pink! “Hello Professor. I suppose we’re talking about Valentine’s Day today…” She said smiling at the woman. It was a rather good timing. Not!
With a small chuckle nonetheless, she made her way to a desk and plonked herself on the chair. Pulling a piece of parchment and her quill out of her bag, she eyed the candy on the desk. Ew. Peppermint.

Entering the class room, Savannah was always curious to see what Professor Lainey had cooked up for the lessons, but today it dawned on her almost immediantly what the subject would be about. Valentines day, perhaps?
This'll be interesting, she thought to herself. Smiling, and waved hello to the Professor before taking her seat behind her usual desk. "How are you today, ma'am?" Savannah asked, politely.

I am quiet certain it IS a joke."

Aithley blew some air as a strand of her raven hair that got in front of her eyes, making it hard for her to see as properly as she was used to. However, that was not the only reason why she was doing such a thing. Class, Aithley Apple Aitken was actually going to attend a class. Her first one in her whole life, mind you, and it didn't feel like it would be any fun at all. After all, she was sure that what she'd see when she got in the classroom would be a bunch of little nerds, all sitting down ready to write whatever the stupid woman or man that was teaching said.
When she entered class, however, her mouth dropped at the sight of an extremely pink woman. Shuddering, her eyes landed on a boy who seemed to be just as disturbed as she was for the colour choice. 'I agree. Pink is evil, I tell you' She nodded.
As the professor started to speak about boyfriends and girlfriends, her eyes widened too. Oh God gracious! Where on Earth was she?

they're gonna try and tell me this wasn't, that none of this happened,
but you know what? It was real. It did happen.
We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.

This lesson had gone down hill from the second Clifford set foot in the classroom. First, the pinkness. Second, Evangeline showing up, and now the Professor's horrible, horrible question.
What business of hers was it anyway? Hmpf.

Evangeline tore her eyes away from Clifford to look over at Dan and smiled at him. She immediately looked back to where Lainey was however when she started talking. Hmmm…something about candy. And boyfriends and girlfriends. Her cheeks turned faintly pink and she started chewing on her lower lip. Not good.
When Lainey’s next question sunk in however, her stomach seemed to have disappeared. Definitely not nice. Doing her best to avoid looking over at Clifford (and hoping nobody would notice her now red cheeks), she started flipping the pages of her textbook.

"Did I even speak to you?" Kingston said in a snobby way. "I think not." And with that, he turned his back to the girl, not caring if she'll think he's the meanest boy she had ever met in her life.
Walking towards his desk, he glared down at the candy and shivered. How horrible, he thought. Quickly, he brushed his hand against the desk, making the piece of candy fall. That made him feel much more better, he thought with a weak smile. Taking his seat, he crossed his feet by the ankles and looked at his Professor with a raised brow.
"Oh please," he muttered silently to himself while rolling his eyes. Why would anyone want a girlfriend or boyfriend? He knew what would happen in the end. Tears that's what.
