New photos have emerged online of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan, set to open to the world this July 15, 2014. The images, courtesy of The Theme Park Guy and taken a couple of weeks back, show the progress of construction for both Hogwarts castle and Hogsmeade village, which are near completion and look very similar to its Orlando counterpart.
The new attraction in Osaka, Japan will have a couple of new features from Hogsmeade in Universal Orlando Resort, including: the Black Lake and Forbidden Forest area near Hogwarts as guests walk towards the castle; and a Hogwarts Express engine which guests can walk into for photo ops (not running like the one in Orlando, though). As for rides, Japan's attraction will of course have Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey inside Hogwarts, and the Flight of the Hippogriff.
