Come one and all, and show off your spell-making skills!
SnitchSeeker is holding a competition to give away free copies of the Harry Potter: Wizarding World DVD game to correspond with its December 1 release. All you need to do is create an original spell that would be sure to impress Hermione. For contest rules and to enter, click here.

The Harry Potter: Wizarding World DVD game is chock full of exciting adventures. I'm currently on the third challenge (Year 4), exploring Dumbledore's office while searching for various magical items. I can't wait to make it to Year 5 to see how vivid and engulfing the scenarios will be as I attempt to rescue Hermione from Grawp and get a chance to test out the Weasley's Extendable Ears.
To navigate through the various challenges is actually quite simple. You basically right or left click with your DVD remote. But this is a game that takes a sharp memory – one wrong turn and you must begin again.
A narrator, who sounds like he could be from Hogwarts itself, guides you through the myriad challenges to help point you in the right direction. The video quality of the film clips is good and the game's graphics are even better. You can see your footsteps as you choose which direction to go on the Marauder's Map, just like in the film, and the various magical locations, such as the dark and mysterious Quidditch World Cup campsite after the Death Eaters attack, are true to the films, as well.
Playing this game made me yearn to re-watch all the Harry Potter films. The Harry Potter: Wizarding World DVD will be released on Dec. 1, one week before the release of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD.
