Videos: Two new Deathly Hallows: Part 2 awards 'For Your Consideration' clips
Two new clips to promote Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 for awards consideration this year have been released by Warner Bros, this time emphasising the variety of accolades for which they have been recognised, including: the American Film Institute's special award; four Critics' Choice Awards; and one of the National Board of Review's ten best films of 2011. Those can be seen, thanks to Frozen Cause's tip, below.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 DVD and Blu-ray sets are available for purchase at the official Warner Bros Shop.
Fine and dandy, but if, as many reviewers have noted, Alan Rickman is the best shot at an HP Oscar (for Supporting Actor), WHY is there NO Snape in the "for your consideration" videos?
They better get recognized in at least 4 categories, being best photography, best set designs, best score and best freakin actor for Alan Rickman. or best sound editing. and even best movie editing, I don't care, they just freaking deserve it in these categories, especially editing and set design teams.
And I don't know for you, but I really think after all these years of work, David Yates would be good for a best director nod. He seems so different than all the classic directors like Scorcese and Allen and Clint Eastwood. Would be refreshing. I hope he gets a BAFTA nod at least.
It's over for Potter, they aren't going to get any big nominations after today's snub wit the PGA nominations. The only way it can get Best Picture right now is if the fandom comes together and make a bit deal of how they snubbed the movie, and boycott the Oscars. But that's probably not going to happen.
The last video was the best. But if they could just silenced the 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two' and delete the last 3 seconds, it would have been better. It's a FYC promo, for goodness sake, not a Blu-Ray Commercial.
