Video: Michelle Obama, Dan Radcliffe introduce Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Navy screening
As reported earlier, U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a screening of
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana as part of her
Joining Forces Movie Series, on July 21, 2011. Photos and a short video of Mrs. Obama announcing the screening, as well as a special introduction by Daniel Radcliffe, can be seen below.
VIDEO Daniel Radcliffe: Hi, there everybody at the Naval Air Station Oceana. I'm Daniel Radcliffe and I'm thrilled to be here to introduce part of the screening for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 in conjunction with Mrs. Obama's Joining Forces campaign. I just want to say that I hope you enjoy the film. I have a few friends in various branches of the British military so I know how hard you guys work and the tremendous courage it takes to do what you do, and the commitment you've shown to your country and the discipline in your lives, and amazing. Although I play a hero on screen, there is very little heroic about me in real life, and you guys, I will leave that all to you. Thank you very very much, and I hope you enjoy the film.

I just thought that was so lovely for Daniel to do. I know that those families give up so much to serve or have a family member serve. They all deserve something 'magical' to happen every once in a while.

AWESOME! Watching this brought tears to my eyes. My heart felt thanks go out to Michelle Obama, Dan and Joining Forces for doing this. I think it is wonderful that the kids are putting on the play Annie
