Video: Jessie Cave & Evanna Lynch in new 'Potterer' skit, new interview
Actress Jessie Cave, who played Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter films, has posted a short video titled "The Potterer" on her website PinDippy.com featuring herself and her Harry Potter co-star Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood). In the video, Jessie invites Evanna to join her book club, but Evanna is having none of it.
In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Jessie commented about her upcoming one-woman show Bookworm and her role in Goblet of Fire director Mike Newell’s Great Expectations, due out in theaters later this year, in which she worked alongside her younger sister Bebe, and Potter actors Ralph Fiennes, Robbie Coltrane and Helena Bonham Carter. In addition, she discussed stalled plans to film a PinDippy video with Rupert Grint, her close friendship with Evanna Lynch and her thoughts on a Harry Potter remake of the film series.
What's Bookworm all about?
Jessie Cave: The idea is that it's the launch of this book club that I've made and everyone in the audience are members. It's the big day, it means everything to me. It's about introducing the idea of 'Bookworms United' to all these people.
You worked with your sister on Great Expectations - was that something you were a bit hmmm ... about?
Jessie Cave: Bebe got the part because of me. Bebe comes everywhere with me. All of my sketches... she's in Bookworm, she's my sidekick. There's a joke in my play about I bred her especially to be my bookworm and it's true! I have three brothers and I said to my mum and dad, 'You're having another baby!' I just prayed and prayed to have a sister and I did. She was the best gift ever.
You've worked with Evanna Lynch and other people on your site and joked that Rupert Grint was too busy washing his hair ...
Jessie Cave: He really wanted to do a sketch, but he's impressively difficult to pin down. I don't have a team around me like he does, and to get through to Rupert. When we are face-to-face it's all 'Let's do this, let's do this' and then as soon as he's gone, you have to get through all those people again. It's impossible, that's the downside.
Do you still feel part of the famous Harry Potter family?
Jessie Cave: It's nice, because I am friends with Evanna, I've just been out to visit her in LA - I'm really good friends with her, we might move in together. It's nice, but you make a connection with somebody. I've made connections with people who weren't necessarily acting in the films.
What would you think about a remake of the Harry Potter series?
Jessie Cave: I think they have to. I think you've got to just be at peace with that, that's fine! It'll probably be better. That's fine. They would never have done that first. And also it deserves another life in some form. I was thinking the other day, it's quite sad - obviously it's very sad - thinking about SnitchSeeker, thinking they're only now commenting on Harry Potter actors who have got new jobs, or the Harry Potter Studios, it's quite sad. I was thinking, 'How will it go on?'
Jessie will be performing her show Bookworm at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in London next month. For showtimes and tickets, click here.

Editor’s Note: Although we understand Jessie Cave’s sadness at missing the day-to-day interaction with her Potter co-stars since filming for the series ended, we at SnitchSeeker are still quite busy in the Harry Potter world. Aside from reporting on the current projects of the Harry Potter actors, we also cover J.K. Rowling’s endeavors such as Pottermore and any new material published by her, Warner Bros studio tour in Watford, England, its theme park in Orlando, Florida, plus the planned theme parks for Los Angeles and Osaka, Japan, and the worldwide Exhibition tour. Additionally, we have a very busy membership in our fanfic section and in our Hogwarts and Ministry of Magic role plays. Potter is about far more than just the films. There are new readers to the series every day, and our online community is here, ready to welcome them in to our fandom.

"I feel like that's all I need for a really complete life."
... seems legit lol
*tries to puzzle through the SS comment* I think she means how our HP news isn't about the movies or books anymore (since they're done), that we're following all the other aspects of the fandom and seeing where they lead. *loves on SS and on Jessie Cave*
