Awwww  That was lovely! I even teared up a little at the end. I wish they'd kept that in the movie, but I'm glad at least that they filmed it and are letting us see it now.

Like everyone else, I don't understand why they deleted that. The movie did not seem overly long at all. After everything is said and done, it would have offered the film viewer a little more closure regarding the Dursleys.

 Why did they cut that?!?! "You didn't just lose your mother that night at Godric's Hollow. I lost my sister" That showed that Petunia had SOME compassion for Lily and everything. Ugh ugh ugh.

They deleted it because of pacing. This would be during that whole montage scene at the beginning but I honestly can't see how this would fit into it.
In my opinion this scene isn't just awkward, it's bad awkward (bad awkward is when you can't stand to watch it, like Twilight for instance *sorry*). I wish they'd stuck with what was in the book or something closer to it.
I mean, I like that Petunia is saying something rather than not like in the book, but, I don't know...
