Video: Half-Blood Prince soundtrack scoring session
Fandango has a new video online showing behind-the-scenes footage from a scoring session for part of the Half-Blood Prince soundtrack, which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, England. In the video you can see both Nicholas Hooper, the composer and David Yates, the director, are present.
So cool!! These soundtracks are always brilliant and so beautiful. It's so amazing to see them in action!!
"Opening" is definitely one of my favorites so far. I love all the remixes they do with "Hedwig's Theme!" That gave me chills! Nicholas Hooper is a bloody genius!
And it's so awesome that they record the score/soundtrack in the same place that the Beatles used to record.

Oh my gosh, that's so cool. I wonder if anyone messed up. Would they have to start the whole thing over? That'd be horrible. But anyway, this video is really cool. I have a lot of respect for them now
The 1st half of that song is Amazing, I can't wait to hear that, seeing the flashback of Dumbledore and Harry at the Ministry in the very beginning, the 2nd half is good too.
Wow! That piece is incredible! It's so great that they're recording at Abbey Road, and good to see Nicholas Hooper conducting as well
Will definately be getting this soundtrack!
Since John Williams did us all a favour and retired from writing the Music for Harry, the music has got better and better.I like the very subtle use of Hedwigs theme. When i went to watch HP1 the music was so intrusive, all my mind could see was imperial guards coming down a ramp, when i wanted to capture the spirit of Harry receiving his birthday cake from Hagrid. After many listens to the cd, i still couldn't warm to the music. I gave the cd away.

I like John Williams music, I wouldnt mind him back for DH myself, as long as his music is far more mature than 1-3, not saying I dont like his music 1-3, but you know that style wouldnt fit imo with DH but thats probaly nothing to worry about, he would do fine most likely.

I like this score much better than OotP, The Ootp soundtrack was a little boring to me, and kinda weird also. But this one has a lot more depth to it, If you know what I mean. YAY! This soundtrack is my favorite so far!
