Video: First HD Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II TV spot
The first 30-second television spot for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II aired on Thursday evening during the CW's drama, The Vampire Diaries. The ad, which hardly contained new scenes from the trailers already released, can be viewed below.
UPDATE: Warner Bros. release a hi-def version, seen here.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II will be released in theatres and IMAX this July.
Your flavour is milk. You're a quiet person and enjoy the peace, but you also
enjoy a bit of something new. You like the unconventional surprises that life
brings. You keep those dear to you close and adore them, as they adore you. ♥
I'm actually quite glad there was no new footage, I'd rather wait to see the whole movie in the theaters, haha! Can't wait to start having to run from my room to the tv whenever I hear the tv spots coming on, though!
I'm still feeling very "blecch" about Harry and Voldie facing off alone, outside, not in the enclosed space of the Great Hall, circling each other like birds and verbally sparring with everyone watching. But then again I haven't gotten my hopes high since after POA came out. And don't get me started on that stupid falling over the side of the school bit. The movie looks like it's going to have enough action in it as it is, why in the name of God did Kloves, or Yates, or whoever, come up with such a ridiculous idea, and WHY did JK apparently give it her blessing?!?!?! *Deep breath* OK...got that out now.
yea I'm kind of iffy about the jumping off the bridge scene too. I wanted it to be like it was in the book! jumping off a bridge is so suicidal and dramatic.
i member i saw it during the vampire diaries finale. i was just on my bed with my ipod on facebook when the series goes into comercial and this pops in. i was like omg i starteed jumping around and screaming then i fell to my bed in shock

I can see why you were sorted into Slytherin..
But seriously, many found the book version bland and are glad they are making it cinematic instead of just talking. Embrace and accept the fact that the movies are NOT the books. Otherwise you'll just be disapointed and become a kill-joy for others who enjoyed the film.
