Video: Dan Radcliffe talks 'How to Succeed' musical, new dancing clips from play
AP has released a video in which Dan Radcliffe discusses the difference of doing a musical like How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying over a dramatic play such as Equus, how he used to listen to musicals as a child, and how thankful he is to the Harry Potter film series for opening the door to the wide range of projects he’s been able to do. The video also features clips of Dan singing in the opening number in the play, as well as singing and dancing to “Brotherhood of Man.”

"All the opportunities that it's opened for me are something that would not have happened had it not been for Harry Potter," Radcliffe says.
"When I was doing 'Equus,' I couldn't sing the Milky Bar tune correctly without making up a few of the notes, which is a long way from that to doing a Broadway musical," Radcliffe joked.
"I spoke to Matthew Broderick," Radcliffe said. "He was at the premiere of the last Potter film and told me to enjoy it because it's really a fun role."
"I always think in New York people don't like to be too impressed," Radcliffe says. "Even if somebody does spot me, there's a kind of element of 'OK, fine. Yeah. I'm not really that impressed that you walked by,' which is kind of great for me."
Harry Potter actress Evanna Lynch tweeted the following after watching the video:

i think the reason why Daniel's parents didn't listen to H2$ is because it was only in the west end in the 60's and never since. I think it's not a musicsl that traveled well outside of the USA. But lets hope things can change on that front and Dan can bring it back to the west end.
My niece was just watching this on the computer with me and started screaming "HARRY POTTER'S DANCING AUNT HEATHER! HARRY POTTER'S DANCING!"
Lol, oh...to be 5.
On a side note: He looks awesome and I can't wait to see this.

I'm shocked. I'm impressed by the dancing, but to hear the boy sing! That's such an incredible feat for him. Congratulations, Daniel! Enjoy your run on Broadway!!
I'll leave you with this "tweet" from Lea Michele, an actress best known for her work on Glee, but she has been on Broadway since she was 8 years old and was the lead in the Original Broadway Cast of Spring Awakening. She was in New York filming a movie, and she went to see Daniel in "How to Succeed..." :

1. he looks HOTT 2. he's not that mad of a singer 3. he's also a pretty good dancer(now) and 4. he's right about how harry potter ended....althrough i'd LOVE 2 see a prequal
Ther was now ay Potter would be as big as it is without radcliffe. No radcliffe as potter is like no robert england as freddy krueger or harrison ford as indiana jones or han solo. Terrific actor and talent through and through.
