Tom Felton to film Deathly Hallows: Part II epilogue scenes for 1 day in December
Tom Felton confirmed that he will be back for one last day of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II epilogue reshoots, which are set to take place next month.
Quote:
“I got the call today,” Felton said Tuesday. “I have to go back for one more day of reshoots. So I’m going back in a couple weeks to do, literally, one more day.”
Quote:
“I knew that Dan, Rupert and Emma were called in and I was enjoying that, I was joking that, ‘Oh, I got it on the first take so I don’t need any of that, going back to do it again.’ And here I am eating my own words and going back to redo it. They just want to get a couple of extra camera shots. I don’t think anything was done wrong, they just want to cover it more. It could literally be a case of panning the shot five degrees to the left or whatever just to make sure the CGI shot work. So I’m going to go and serve my duty.”
Tom also went on G4TV's Attack of the Show to promote Deathly Hallows: Part I. That can be viewed here.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I has now been released worldwide. Click on the banner below to order tickets for the film at Fandango. Tickets are also on sale now in the UK; head over to the Harry Potter official UK Facebook for more information.
I'm really hoping that the Epilogue scene will be a bit longer in the movie than the book. In the book, the words were enough to really explain what was happening, but in a movie, it needs to be longer with a little more character interaction, as well as more conversation (in my opinion). Not so much that it would change the tone of the book, but so that, since in the book we were imagining what everyone would look like, and in the movie, anyone who was mentioned should be shown somehow (I'm really trying to say this without giving away any spoilers!) whether it be a reference shot or something, just to really give the series a proper sendoff. After all, this is what people have been waiting for for 10 years (more actually, when you think about the fact that by time it's all over, the first book will have come out 15 years ago) and will really make or break the way it leaves. I for one, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, want to have a sense of closer, and while worded in the book it worked, seeing it visually may have a different effect, and I think would really serve to see just a little more.

Hopefully he won't have to, lol. Maybe he can just have a wig? Maybe it was a wig the first time? Oh well, I guess we'll find out sooner or later.

I'd rather them not put too much time into the epilogue...was my least favorite part of the books...
I'd rather them spend more time giving us some important information that was left out in Part 1

I'm so excited about the epilogue. More than anything i want Harry to say the lines he said in the book, about Albus Severus's name and where it comes from. That always makes me cry so much!
And of course, there needs to be at least one hilarious Ron moment in the epilogue
I wonder what the music's going to be like in that scene... or what the last line of the last film will be... Omg i'm getting all teary here
Moooooooo. :) || Have a supermegafoxyawesomehot Christmas.

I think he did wear a wig during the first shoot. Just like a few weeks before filming ended in June, Tom mentioned something about not having to bleach his hair again.
I certainly hope they will do a good job with the epilogue. I wouldn't even care if it turns out to be better than all of Part I combined. (Not to say that I don't like Part I, though.)

I'm gonna get all weepy when they start rolling the credits on part two.
in another article here on SS, Emma (IIRC.... at least it was one of the cast members) said they have to reshoot the Kings Cross scene because when they shot it in the real location it was "very stressful and very busy". so chances are they're only going to reshoot the scenes they've already shot, not making the Epilogue any longer than whats originally in the script. and if they only called back Tom for one day, its probably something simple, like reshooting a line or walking to and fro.
And dont worry about his hair. Nearly all of them were wearing a wig at the Epilogue. Emma didnt sound to be bothered and she already cut off her hair when she had to reshoot
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
