Tom Felton talks Harry Potter series end in new interview (UPDATE #3)
In a new interview with Digital Spy, actor Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), spoke about the pressures and worries that come with working as part of the Harry Potter franchise:
Quote:
"I feel slightly under pressure. When we're in the studios there's kids coming around all day.
"It's not so bad for me as Draco because he's a bad character, but there are these kids that look up to the cast.
"There's definitely a feeling that you need to keep things under your hat."
Tom briefly mentions his feelings towards the end of the film series:
Quote:
"There's a mixture of relief and disappointment. It's a relief because the end is in sight, but equally terrifying is that I don't know what I'm going to do afterwards. I've no idea."
Tom will be playing for Team England this weekend to benefit UNICEF's Soccer Aid, which will be aired live on Britain's ITV1 September 6th at 6PM BST (11PM EST).
UPDATE: Digital Spy have further quotes from Tom, who talks about roles involving nudity and his involvement with the aforementioned charity soccer game;
Quote:
When asked about his footballing credentials, he joked: "Absolutely sod all! About a decade ago, I headlined for the B squad of my village team, but that unfortunately is it.
"'Roped in' is the terminology. My girlfriend was very keen because her brother and dad would kill for the opportunity to play at Wembley.
"It's also for UNICEF. If it wasn't for charity, I would run a mile."
UPDATE #2: Tom spoke about training for this weekend's SoccerAid charity game:
Quote:
Meanwhile, Harry Potter actor Tom Felton confessed that he is nowhere near match fit. "I thought I was going to be physically sick out there on the pitch," he confesses. "Its so hard keeping up with them but Graham Le Saux in particular has been great giving out some advice."
A photo of Tom along with Team England can be seen in our galleries:
UPDATE #3: A short video of Tom talking about practicing for SoccerAid is online now, courtesy of Feltbeats:
I think he should go for something that's less Draco...maybe some nerdy character...
or he can prove that he's totally hardcore and be an awesome villain...even more frightening than Voldie!
but of course, he will do good in his acting career, I'm sure of it.

^^ Yeah, I have to agree, I wish it was longer. And I can sort of relate to Tom in this case. I'm in college and I'm still not sure of what I really want to do, it's pretty frightening.
I get what he means too.. I'm in my last year of high school and I can see how close the end is but I have no idea yet, what I'm going to do after and it is scary...
Good interview, I bet he'll be beating off offers with a large stick after HP, he is just such actor! I hope to see him play a good guy sometime in the future... or maybe a bad guy...
