Video: Tom Felton attends Empire birthday party, talks Harry Potter (UPDATED)
Last night Tom Felton attended Empire magazine's 20th birthday party. While there, the Press Association got an interview and a new photo of him.
Quote:
"I went for Harry for about five times and then Ron for a couple more and ended up dying my hair blond for Draco. I had my hair dyed brown, ginger and then blond and finally they got it right.
"I know Chris Columbus (director) was very keen I think to use me in the film but didn't quite know where to place me so to speak, so I am glad he found a place. I don't know what he saw in me as an 11-year-old, I can't see how I could be evil, but I am very glad he gave me the part of Draco definitely."

UPDATE: A short video of Tom at the dinner has been released, where he talks about life after the end of the Harry Potter series:

ARGH!!! what's with the beard?! XD ... he needs to get rid of it.
I feel sorry for his hair... he was only a wee lil' boy and his hair had gone through all that peroxide before he even got the role! I'm glad he got the role though, no one else could portray Draco quite as well!
I'm so glad he was Draco instead of Harry or Ron, lol. But...I guess if he'd started out that way, I might feel different...*shrugs* I love Dan and Rupert
completely agree with you...and about Tom acting as a bad guy i must say he is one...hot bad guy...and his acting is good too...i really didnt like Draco in the earlier movies...this shows how fantastically he performed his role...Chris Columbus sure has done some brilliant casting...and as of Tom's character in the new film...its gonna be bigger...cant wait to see him become all emotional and yet angry and sort of paranoid...

I'm glad they cast him as Draco too!! He just works so well as Draco that I'd never like to see him as any of the other HP characters. Oh, and I too agree that he should get rid of the unshaven look.

im glad they chose him for draco, no one else could play it as good as him. He looks so old! And it looks like his hair is receding or maybe it's just really thin...he looks frail lol
