COME...

“Come, Tom. Hurry up. You act as if you don’t trust me.” Bella threw him a quire look.

And indeed, Tom looked at her suspiciously, but much rather amused than afraid.

“You know, Bella, it’s strange that you should find me with such humour today as to follow you.

“Don’t make me laugh, Riddle. This is Holloween. This is practically your second birthday.”

“Well, Bella..” he emphasized threateningly,” It better be important, otherwise you wish I hadn’t had a birthday at all.”

“Yeah, yeah…” she made a face at him, but Tom didn’t really respond. Bellatrix could be so spoiled sometimes, as if she forgot her place.

As they left the grounds of Hogwatrs, it was obvious Bella had in mind a much faraway destination.

“Take my arm, Riddle, and follow me.” She said commandingly. Tom was really displeased with her attitude by now, but chose to follow now, punish later.

Bella Disappeared instantly, taking Tom with her. Their arrival spot was somewhere along the coast, where the sky was overcastted, and the waves splattered violently against the deserted rocks.

“We shall dive.” Bella explained, and threw herself into the waters. Tom wasn’t keen on getting wet, but the girl had infuriated him so, that he was determined to get her. After all, how on earth did she know about the cave?...

But when he surfaced on the other side, Bella was nowhere to be seen. He looked around, wandering what kind of seek joke she was planning.

“Come…” an evanescent voice called, and the bottom of Bella’s black robe could be seen.

“Listen little witch, you’d better have a good explanation for this when I’ll get you.” He said, hurrying his pace in her direction. Tom ventured inside the well known cave. It was still
easy to get around, in what magic concerned, for he didn’t find it necessary to seal his hiding place yet.

Shadows started to appear in front of the young man, but he regarded them with discontent, as if wondering what Bella was thinking, trying to scare him with such petty attempts...
As he got to a forked way, he stood there for a second, wondering which way that brainless girl could have chosen. Yet a colony of baths – that he had no idea how it got in there – attacked him in their flee.

It was easy enough for him to defend himself, but his face was bruised.

“Just wait till my wand is at your neck, Bella…” he shouted, the echoes going round like scared ghosts.

Tom started running, his wand lit. His fury was so great that the light came out red, predicting bloodshed.

In round chamber, with the ceiling was covered in dark, he knew he was not alone anymore. He turned around, ready to face whatever was to come his way.

But there was nothing he could see. A great darkness materialized in front of him, and all around him, like an ill mist. It got so dense, that he could not see by the means of his own wand any more. And the air was so bitter and so peppered, that it become harder and harder to bread. How was he to defeat such a thing that had no beginning and no end. Now and then, a pare of long, white-blue eyes appeared close, as if mocking him. Whenever the turned to get a shot t it, it would disappear.

Tom felt it wouldn’t be long before he would pass out. Without him even noticing, the chamber was silently filling with blood. When Tom finally decided to leave pride aside and get his head into an oxygen bubble, he felt a sharp bite in his leg. He looked down, questioningly, to see a pale creature, wrapped in its own black hair. It had no eyes anymore, and its body was decaying. Tom felt instantly sick, and tried to push her aside, but he underestimated its power.

Feeling panic enter his bones as she crawled up his leg with slow yet firm moves, he tried to levitate and leave the sickening scenery. But an electric shock went through his body, and Tom fell on his hands into the blood, with his face close to the woman. Her green tongue was now wrapped like a snake around Tom’s leg, trying to paralyze him. With a smart flick of the want, he cut himself loose, running blindly towards an exit, which he miraculously found. Judging the dark mist was no longer a threat, he dissolved the bubble.

Tom left the long corridor and was faced with something unexpected in the given conditions: at the entrance of another hall, a great mirror blocked his way.

Tom stared into it, but he could only see his disheveled self. His fine nose sensed a fragrance coming from behind the mirror, and he felt rage growing inside. He pushed aside the great mirror with his foot, smashing it with horrifying echoes onto the stone floor.

“I am Lord Voldemort!” he shouted like thunder. ”How dare you defy me?!!!”

A bunch of black silhouettes stood petrified, in a half circle behind the great mirror. They were his friends, the young Death Eaters.

“Happy Halloween, Tom!” Bellatrix appeared from behind, with a tiny box, shaped like a snake. “Well, don’t just stand there, open it!” the girl urged him, as if nothing had happened.

Tom’s wild look came to normal somewhat in front of this valiant Death Eater.

“You have a sick sense of humour, did you know that?” he reprimanded her. ”What’s with the mirror anyway?

Was I supposed to see myself after you were done with me?”

“No. you see, we caught a boggart and stuck it with a permanent spell to the mirror. It was suppose to scare you….”

“I have no fears and no weaknesses, you should know that by now…Oh, she’s precious!....” Tom said as the present box revealed a baby snake.” I shall call her Naggini and I shall never part with her…”

The rain was lashing down on the common room windows. The Halloween feast had been cancelled after a few death eaters managed to break into the castle. For safety, everyone was sent back to their common rooms to continue the feast.

The Gryffindor common room was very warm and noisy as people ate and drank discussing what had happened. All the students were sat at a special table where the food was, but Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Neville were sat in a corner away from the other students telling scary Halloween stories.

Neville had been talking about bats eating humans, but then he filled himself with fear and would not talk, which was quite funny and freaky.

Ginny decided to tell her story now. “There was a vampire called Vernal who once turned a whole city into vampires. The thing that surprised everyone was that he was a child.”

“Ginny, this isn’t real, is it?” A worried Ron asked his sister.

“Maybe, why, is ickle Ronniekins scared? Now, as I was saying, he turned a city into vampires when he was nine. So after he had transformed many people, he joined Hogwarts. The teachers didn’t know about him though, so they were in for a fright. After six months at Hogwarts he had transformed his entire house into vampires. When he was caught, he took refuge in the forbidden forest. Rumour has it that Vernal is still alive and living in the forest.”

ROAR

“Wh...What was that?” Asked a frightened Ron.

“Probably just some thunder,” Harry said trying to cover his fear.

ROAR

The common room door swung open and four hooded men entered the room. Three of them sent stunners in the direction of the other students whilst Harry and Co’ were with the last hooded man.

“Harry Potter, I have waited so long,” said a familiar cold voice, “Now, to finish you off, Avada Keda-”

“Stupefy,” said four voices at once. Ron and Hermione had hit his chest and Harry and Ginny had hit his skull. The only one who didn’t attack was Neville as he was sat in the corner clutching his knees.

They looked at the unconscious body on the floor. Its snakelike face was pale and the red eyes were wide opened.

“So, this is the end of the famous Lord Voldemort. What’s happening?” Harry said staring at the corpse.

The snakelike face was changing; long blond hair was coming out, the slit eyes were disappearing. Lucius Malfoy was the corpse.

“It must have been polyjuice potion,” Harry said.

“Your clever potter, now it is your time to die, Avada Kedavra,” the real Voldemort said.

“Sectumsempra” Harry shouted as both spells met in mid air. The other death eaters stopped fighting and were staring at what happened; an orb began to grow where the spells met and a phoenix appeared.

It flew over to Voldemort’s wand and pulled; somehow, his wand dissapeared. Harry’s spell hit Voldemort and he fell and bled. All the death eaters saw him and ran out of the common room; they had given up.

The whole Gryffindor common room crowded round and watched Voldemort bleed to death. It was the end. The dark side had been defeated.

One week later. Gryffindor had been given 200 house points each for the defeat of the dark lord. Hogwarts was a happy place again and Neville had regained his speech.
