Three days ago, a British tabloid claimed to interview Rupert Grint and published alleged quotes by him trashing Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, Hollywood actresses in general and even included some negative comments about his co-stars Emma Watson and Jessie Cave (aka Lavender Brown).
This story, published in The Sun, was subsequently picked up by many outlets around the world and, as a result, Rupert's reps released the following statement today: Quote:
In response to articles published this week, Rupert Grint wishes it to be known that he has never met Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton and has not nor would he make any negative comment about them as has been stated. He has also never made any negative comment about Los Angeles. He will be taking action against those parties spreading these falsehoods.

To win, doesn't he have to prove that The Sun knowingly lied? That's going to be quite difficult. I appreciate they're trying to retain his reputation but most people knew that it didn't sound like him and anyway, the sentiments expressed were largely accurate.

It's really good that he's taking action...I don't think anyone will believe that story...it's just not like him. Only people who don't have any clue about who he is will believe that...and let's face it, everyone knows him.

It's so awful that those publications are allowed to publish such lies!
I've heard and read too much about Rupert Grint to know hw would never say anything negative about those girls, especially those he works with, one of them having been his friend for nearly ten years, and who is bound to be around him for at least another two.

Honestly, the interview did not seem like stuff he would even bother to discuss. Please - Lindsay Lohan??? Whatever....I dont think he would waste his breath discussing her. But he needs to sue and put these gits at the tabloid in their place....Rupert seems absolutely lovely and i am so bloody his solicitors (lawyers) are watching out for him.
