| | Patrick Doyle to attend Goblet of Fire screening (UPDATED)
Patrick Doyle, composer for the Goblet of Fire soundtrack, is set to attend a screening of the fourth Potter film on February 10th at 4pm at Syracuse University in New York. After the movie he will participate in a question & answer session.
He has also composed music for Gosford Park (starring Maggie Smith - McGonagall), Sense and Sensibility (starring Emma Thompson, Michael Gambon & Alan Rickman - Trelawney, Dumbledore & Snape) and he's worked with Kenneth Branagh (Lockhart) on Much Ado About Nothing and Henry V.
The event will be held in the Grant Auditorium in the College of Law complex. It is being sponsored by the Bandier Program for Music and the Entertainment Industries at SU in conjunction with the Syracuse International Film Festival. UPDATE: Mugglenet has been informed that the event is free and free parking has also been made available. |

i guess at this junction, showing Goblet of Fire on a screen in front of an audience is kind of ....well, why would anyone bother?

awww I think this is an awesome idea
The movies should really be seen by a big screen to get the full
experience, and the attraction would be that there will be a Q&A with the
composer of the movie!
I dunno about you, but this is a very nice opportunity for those who
love music and those who'd like to compose for movies to get some information
I would definitely have gone |

That one did not have the "bite" of a memorable movie. Just my observation, who is someone who has listened to all of the soundtracks several times for enjoyment.

Nicholas Hooper, who is likely to do the last two ones, given that Yates likes to work with composers who are willing to join him on set.
