The day was set out so that for the first lesson the 6th formers had and assembly ran by Mark Williams. Then lessons 2 and 3 were 2 more assemblies for the lower school. Because I am in the jazz band and had to play music for the assemblies he came back stage and talked to us separately which was very cool. In the assemblies he talked about the new school, about his acting career and what it was like when he went to this school. Between then and the official opening he did a workshop with the 6th formers who took drama which they then presented at the opening. It was a comedy about Mark at school. There was also a slideshow of the history of the school. After the ceremony he gladly had pictures taken with pupils and signed autographs for pupils and teachers. It was a really good day.
Stuart will shortly be providing us with pictures.
