| | |  Knight Bus to be featured at Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour London
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter announced today that the actual Knight Bus will be featured as part of the tour at Leavesden in the UK, set to open on March 31, 2012 - pre-book tickets now.  The iconic, triple decker Knight Bus today rolls into Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter, which opens 31st March 2012. Taking its place among the many authentic sets, props and costumes from the eight Harry Potter films, the Knight Bus debuted in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™ and was one of the most complicated pieces to create in the production.
John Richardson, Special Effects Supervisor, said: "The Knight Bus was not a CGI Creation as many people thought but in fact a real-life working bus. It was constructed by cutting up two iconic Routemaster buses, reworking the structure and bolting it all back together to provide one bus with three decks. One interesting challenge that arose during the shooting of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was that we could not drive the vehicle across London due to the number of low bridges in and around the capital. This meant that we had to transport the bus in two pieces between locations and put it back together as required for filming."

The scenes with the Knight Bus were my husbands favorite! From the moment the bus came out of the dark to pick up Harry after the huge disagreement with Harry's family & experiencing the obvious "dark images" appearing, the bus was comforting. We weren't ready for the far-out journey across London until Harry was delivered at the doorstep of the hidden building where all his friends were waiting. This was a great scene from the very beginning. The Knight Bus is awesome..........I can only hope one day we can make the trip over to London to see all these marvelous props.

Woaw! impressed with that one. didn't though that one set piece was still existing! normally they destroy everything- or part of, when movies are over. That's what happened to the slytherin common room I think.

Hehe ive got my own Knight Bus and guess what IT'S MADE OF LEGO  i built it and was arrying it around and kinda dropped it so re-built it  ANYWAYZ so jealous hope the tour stays for a while so i can go see it  x
