J.K. Rowling's 'The Casual Vacancy' BBC/HBO miniseries first clip with Michael Gambon
The first clip from the BBC and HBO miniseries of J.K. Rowling's The Casual Vacancy was released online via the U.K. broadcast earlier this week.
The footage shows how the small town of Pagford, including Howard Mollison (played by Harry Potter's Sir Michael Gambon), react to the shocking death of Barry Fairbrother (Rory Kinnear), which of course begins the downward spiral of the village.

News of Paris Councillor Barry's death spreads like wildfire. Samantha gives Miles a warning as the consequences of the Casual Vacancy start to hit home.
The three-part The Casual Vacancy will air on BBC beginning February 15 at 9pm GMT on BBC One, and from April 29-30 on HBO.
Quote:
THE CASUAL VACANCY centers on Pagford, a seemingly idyllic English village with a cobbled market square and ancient abbey. Behind the pretty façade, however, is a town at war: rich vs. poor, teenagers vs. parents, wives vs. husbands, teachers vs. pupils.
The cast includes Michael Gambon, Keeley Hawes, Rory Kinnear, Monica Dolan and Julia McKenzie, and introduces Abigail Lawrie.
