Several
Harry Potter alumni reigned strong at the 2014 Moet British Independent Film Awards, starting off with Emma Thompson, who received the Richard Harris Award for 'Outstanding Contribution by an Actor'.
Brendan Gleeson went off to win Best Actor for his work in
Calvary (which also costarred son Domnhall), the same accolade he received earlier this weekend at the Boston Online Film Critics Association. Imelda Staunton, who unfortunately did not attend, won Best Supporting Actress for Pride, which also costarred Harry Potter actors Bill Nighy and Jessie Cave.
Photos of Thompson and Gleeson with their awards, as well as fellow nominee Timothy Spall, at the Old Billingsgate Market in London Sunday evening can be seen here. Many congratulations to all the winners!
