Even more information about the
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child plays has been revealed, including when previews and opening day next summer will take place , and the cost of tickets.
Apparently the first preview for the play may actually take place in late spring, and not summer, on June 7, but it will officially open the day before Harry's birthday (or Neville Longbottom's birthday) on Saturday, July 30, 2016.
Tickets for those who signed up for priority booking (and can still do so
here) will be available beginning 11am GMT on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Regular tickets to the public for the play at London's Palace Theatre will become available two days later, on October 30 starting at 11am GMT.
The bigger question lies in how tickets will be sold for the two-part plays.
According to Baz Bamigboye, reputed theater reporter for the Mail, tickets for the play will be sold as one bundle - as in, tickets will be sold for both plays under one price, and not separately. Those prices are listed below. Tickets for the preview dates from the start of June until the end of July will be cheaper than regular production seats, as is the case with any play or musical.
Please note that this has not been confirmed by the production team or J.K. Rowling, but is a very reliable source and most, if not all, of the information above is more than likely accurate. As confirmed information is released about
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, it will be reported here.
