SPOILER!!: Click me
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simmering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.
In the game of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, players will return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive a fraught sixth year. They will also have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory. Players may even get sidetracked by Ron's romantic entanglements as they journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince.
Scott Johnson, the Vice President of the Business Development for Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment, had the following to say about the ties between the game and the film:
Quote:
"Working with EA, we look forward to offering fans a compelling Harry Potter video game, one which captures the thrilling storyline and high visual quality of the movie. The adherence to the rich fiction is a trademark of this franchise and with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince fans will experience the most authentic and enjoyable game in the series to date."
Also, the first screenshot from the game has been released;

I gotta go back to the muggle world,
they're gonna try and tell me this wasn't, that none of this happened,
but you know what? It wasreal. It did happen.
We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back.
I really need to get into the games!!!!!!!!! OOTP looked awesome! Can't wait for the moviel..hope they have it in 3D again!
Actually I read somewhere that it is going to be in 3d. Can't remember where exactly, might have been the leaky cauldron website or the imdb page. But the guy who runs Imax confirmed it. And the people rejoice. YAYYYY!!!!!!!!!

OOTP was a pretty cool game, ways better than any of the HP games that went before it. i hope this HBP game is just as good in gameplay as well as in graphics.

Enter the matrix was an average game and people underated it. Same for ootp. Just because somepeople think a game is bad doesn't mean everyone will thing that.

Um, just so you know, every HP game, with the exception of the first two, released the same day as the movies. At least in the US. And they weren't bad. OoTP was excellent. GoF was okay, but it didn't do well because EA did something funky with just having missions rather than a whole map. They'd better release them on all platforms...
