A 16-year-old high school student was
arrested on Monday, for posting online a complete unauthorized translation of
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in French just days after the English version was released on July 21. The boy was released the following day after questioning by authorities but could be charged at a later date for "violating intellectual property rights."
French police shut down the website.
French translator, Jean-Francois Menard, is currently working on the official translation of
Deathly Hallows which is due to be released on October 26.
