Harry Potter actor Freddie Stroma, who played Gryffindor student Cormac McLaggen in the final three movies, Half-Blood Prince, Deathly Hallows: Part I & II, has been cast alongside former costar Bonnie Wright (Bonnie Wright) in the thriller, The Philosophers, reported Variety. The film, set to begin production this June in Jakarta, Indonesia, follows a group of international university philosophy students who, according to Bonnie, find themselves within a 'psychological thriller'.  Quote:
John Huddles is writing and directing the pic, which revolves around a philosophy professor who challenges 21 graduating seniors to select 10 who would take shelter underground and reboot the human race in the event of a nuclear attack.
In a recent interview with ITV's Loose Women, Bonnie commented on her role in The Philosophers, calling her counterpart: "outgoing, and she's quite fashion-forward and quite cool in the classroom, but she's very outspoken."
We will have much more on The Philosophers as it begins production in mid-June. There is currently no set release date.  | |
