Deadline is reporting that Harry Potter actress Emma Watson may take on a supporting role in director Darren Aronofsky's biopic Noah, based on the historic story behind the famous ark builder. Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe is set to play Noah, while Emma's The Perks of Being a Wallflower costar Logan Lerman will portray one of Noah's sons, Ham.

Emma herself is in talks to play Ila, who is "a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah’s son, Shem [played by Douglas Booth]."

There is no confirmation on if Emma has taken on the role, though we will update as soon as more information is released. Noah is set to begin production, with a tentative $130 million budget, this summer for a March 28, 2014 theatrical release.

If she takes this,it'd be a great role for her, she is putting herself on the market with as MANY films as possible under her belt. I thought Your V In my Head begins in June. It may clash unless Noah begins after that. Go for it Emma!!! Sky's the limit

if she takes this, she really can make herself a real name in thw industry. playing in a Coppola AND a aronofski is great! and the Noah movie sounds interesting!

It seems that both she and Rupert are going after alot of parts but what I love is they are all sounding like QUALITY parts...that is what will take them far as actors-not the number of movies but the quality. Their names (and Dan's as well as other HP cast) are hot now-they have an EXTREMELY loyal following of fans (myself included

). Go Emma!! This sounds very intriguing and have not seen a movie based on a Bible Story in awhile!

Oooh I really hope she get's it :X3: She really deserves it, what I love is how she's been shown in so many films lately and they all look really good so she's not just trying to get heaps of movies under her belt to further her career, rather she's getting good quality films, which will get her heaps further than otherwise! Go Emma!
