| | |  Emma Watson comments on future in fair trade fashion, "Beauty and the Beast"
Emma Watson mentioned on her official website and Facebook that she will begin to answer fan questions related to her projects and future, and has so far responded to three - related to her fair trade fashion work, and the upcoming production of director Guillermo del Toro's Beauty and the Beast film adaptation. Those can be read below; for those interested in submitting questions to Emma, please note that you must have a Facebook account to do so.
Please note regarding Beauty and the Beast: del Toro's next project is the 3D stop-motion adaptation of Pinocchio, for which Emma's former Harry Potter costar Daniel Radcliffe has expressed interest, and that will not begin production until summer 2013.  What’s happening with Beauty and the Beast?
Emma Watson: Guillermo del Toro, the director, has just finished editing his last film and is working on the script and pre-production for Beauty and the Beast.
Would you be interested in directing/producing?
Emma: Absolutely. I still have a lot to learn but I would definitely like to do something like this in the future.
Are there any more fair trade collaborations on the horizon?
Emma: There has been a lot of speculation about my People Tree collections, with stories running that they 'failed' or that I was unhappy. This was really strange because I felt the opposite of this. From the two collections I did with People Tree overall sales were £446,000 which was a huge surprise. The collections generated work for 400 farmers, artisans and tailors! For me though, the most important part of the collaboration was that I was able to raise the profile of Fair Trade fashion which I think I did successfully.
I visited Bangladesh to see the clothes being made and spoke with the factory workers first hand to understand what the real issues were so I would be able to talk about them in an informed and real way. In terms of other collaborations, I have decided I want to put all of my energy into my acting career but it was something I really enjoyed doing, learnt a lot from and am glad I did.

I think she would be awesome in Beauty and the Beast, but honestly I think she would be awesome in any role because she always puts in her best effort and it shows! And Guillermo Del Toro has directed some awesome movies, so it's bound to be a goodie =D

Amazing, I love Emma. I can't wait for her to bring on of my favourite fairy-tales to life. I am counting the days Perks comes out, I've read the book already. I'm going to check out her clothing line right now.

There are those out there who claim that since she was never seen in any People Tree clothes, she didn't support fair trade. But we don't have pics of her for every hour of every day, do we? No, we don't.

That's a strange comment, recently at Derek Blasbergs launch of 'very classy' she was in one of the people tree jackets she designed and she's been pictured in it several times before.
