Daniel Radcliffe took part in a star-studded charity competition for
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on Tuesday in New York City, at the foundation's annual
Easter Bonnet contest. Dan, along with fellow actors Harvey Fierstein (
La Cage aux Folles), Sutton Foster (
Anything Goes), announced the Broadway, off-Broadway, and national touring productions that brought in the most money for the organisation. Incidentally, Dan's
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying was the top Broadway fundraiser, bringing in $271,916 so far, mostly due thanks to Dan selling Finch's bow ties and
How to Succeed handbooks after performances.
Photos of Dan announcing the top winners, as well as receiving the
How to Succeed recognition with costar Rob Bartlett, can be found in our
galleries. The 25th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition raised an overall $3,706,085 towards research on the fight against AIDS.
