In an interview with The Observer, Dan Radcliffe has spoken openly about his tastes in music and what he thinks of certain bands and genres. Quote:
'If you look at bands who say they're punk now, like Sum 41, and then look at the Sex Pistols and what they stood for and what they meant and what they managed to do and... well,' he says, taking in the interior of central London's opulent Merchant Taylors' Hall, a 600-year-old banqueting venue, 'the others are just pop music really, aren't they?'

That's...interesting. I'd think that most teens today like pop; I know I do. Oh well, he's entitled to his own interests. I think it was really nice of him to make a CD for Emma, though!

Oh come on! I love pop music! I'm not much for jazz. R&B and Rap on on the lower bit of my list. Rock is okay... But I love rave music! :bnawtf:

I think he feels the way about pop music that I feel about rap music. But I love rock and I looked at the songs he chose for the playlist and they are really good songs, I like alternative better than punk, but they were all pretty good.
I'm sure we can all agree that there is probably one genre of music that we detest and Dan is entitled to his own opinion. I think what he said about the music stores is funny. And I could see Emma "loosing" his CD cuz she doesn't like the music. That is hilarious.
Check out the songs that he chose though, they are really good. And the Brendon Benson guy that Dan likes is really good. He reminds me of the pop songs that people like, but more guitar and rockish beat. It is really good. Try it out.

hee hee, I completely agree with you. Well, with some things anyway.
People are always going to like different music whether you stand up for what the music is about or not.
I hate music that has absolutely no meaning what so ever.
Also, I respect good artists such as Missy Higgins but I wouls never buy her album for the simple fact that I like rock, but I still recognise that she's good artist. Quote:

wow, Dan that's a bit extreme! i love pop music lol and that's probably because that's mostly what i've been exposed to..i need to Dan to make me a CD, then i'd probably love the music on it too. i like rock though that's high up there on my list too. i hate rap music, but i don't feel so strongly that i think stores should be fined for selling it..if some people like, fine, it's their business. i think he's just a teen and just says what he thinks so boldly because he thinks anything that's not what he likes is evil. i still love him, and he's sooo hott!! i hope he would still be friends with someone who liked pop music lol..i'm sure he would..he's not shallow or anything..just really strongly opinionated.
Emma lost his CD...lol!!! i would never lose something that Dan made for me..i'd treasure it! but then again, Emma's known him since she was 9 so i guess its understandable.
can you listen to Dan's playlist??? i want to get into different kinds of music.
